Google Verification Code Scam and How to Fix!

This video is all about the Google Voice 6-digit code scam that you might encounter on Facebook Marketplace and how to fix it. Google Voice is a free product that allows you to connect your regular mobile phone number to a second number that will be virtual. The reason you would want to do this is so you can make free calls with Wi-Fi or data through Google Voice. It comes with a lot of interesting features. The scam, however, is anything but interesting.
The Google Voice 6-digit code scam on Facebook Marketplace and other platforms works like this. Scammers will act like they are interested in the product you are selling. They might even contact you within minutes of you posting your listing. They will tell you that they want to do something abnormal, however. The scammers will say something like, "I want to make sure you're not a scammer." They then will ask you to give them a one-time-use code that you received to your phone. It'll probably be six digits. Do not give scammers this 6-digit code. Any confirmation or verification codes like these that you receive to your phone are only for you. Never give these codes to any other person who asks for them, ever.
The Google Voice 6-digit code scam pertaining to Facebook Marketplace has been around for a long time, and it can also happen if you use Craigslist, OfferUp or any similar platform. Never give your 6-digit code to anyone else.
