Absolute quality and thanks for the track... absolutely epic... you're a one-off with your generosity, transparency on what you do, respect for your Hype Fam etc. See you in London. Doing a 12 month stint in the UK....
Ah bro thank you so much. I'm so keen on this remix and literally just started my journey to learn producing on Ableton after being a House. DJ for a few years. I really appreciate you going into detail on how this is put together. It's so freaking helpful for a newbie like me!
I really appreciate these tutorials mate. I just bought Ableton 2 days ago as it's currently on sale. Made the switch from Cubase. Still trying to get used to it.
Hi James; I appreciated the time you take for explain how you made this song, and for show how much work is behind. (n.n) Thanks for the audio track. Thanks.
Hey, you're killing it! Loving those breakdowns - super cool, playful, and educational. I'm a FL Studio user, but your ideas and concepts are giving me serious inspiration! Keep the vibes flowing! 🚀🎶
Well, i gotta be honest, the first time i heard about you i thought oh jeez another dj buying some tracks from ghost producers, i didn't really like it. Later somehow you caught my eye in a video and the more I look into your content the more I realize you are actually very good and unique. Now I watch every goddamn video you make. Respect.
That dude on the tiktok comments who says it's all prerecorded.. 🤡 just watch him live lol. Thanks for this insight James, got me into granular synthesis 😅 making a banger, testing it, showing us all how it's done then giving it away?! Who does this! 🐐
I've been using Ableton for years and I feel I know more than average. Love how you have a million things going on and call it "pretty straight forward" Really interesting watch, nice one. 🔥
Can't program synergy of sounds. why this track has that is just something that you hear. No doubt, James is a master at fine tuning each element/piece with a wide array of skills and creativity. But it's the collective here, which means you can buy the car, learn how to drive it perfectly too, but you most likely won't get to the destination. I think about what Stevie Wonder did when he got his "dream machine"and how amazing it would be if he had access to today's technology when he was in that ultra creative age zone (which is a bit different for each person). Same with Prince, Niles Rogers, and Quincy Jones too. 7:43
It’s “basically” doing what James does with his breakdowns. Grab an accapella and shrink or stretch it to turn it to its own sound. Use the fader or pitch to “change the key” run an effect on top to make it more exciting. It’s very clever and love how James isn’t jaded and shares his knowledge with EVERYONE. Which ultimately makes better artists/music. And that’s what it’s all about. James gets it. ❤🎶❤️🌎
That's crazy, I love it soo much... but, what about the remix you used in your last #GetCloser with those vocals? I was searching it around the internet and I didn't found anything :(. It's yours?? Love you so much man. Your making history!! Yours respectfully: the spanish boy with the Stereohype Tattoo in the triceps ;)
hey guys, ive got a question hopefully someone understand what I mean, this "grain" size thing in ableton is there a plugin that can make this automation sound for fl21? or am I totally wrong with my thought cause its smthg in the granulator
NAW :/ I watched it because I thought there would be an ABLETON file we could tinker with. Or did my eyes completely glaze over it? Still a bloody good break down video!! Thanks
James do you reckon Ableton is a must for house music? I'm using Ableton but 90 percent of producers for house music seem to use Ableton, don't even know why I'm asking you this directly, I'm never Guna get a reply 😂😂
The skills this guy has is crazy James is the king of tech house music!!🔥🔥
Can you do a ferrari breakdown❤❤
Would love that
Yes yes yes yes yes
Legends say the making of Ferrari cost him 10 years of his life.
@@PerfectPotential How, exactly
can find that in his production course if im not wrong
Love how open James is sharing his process with fans, must be the hottest DJ in the world right now
Nice one James, also the heavy use of stock plugins to make a solid track is inspiring
Not even a tech house fan but always love these kind of break downs by artists who actually made it. Very creative on the lead! Love to see more

Good tip on Beat Transient. I use Gate to try to achieve the same effect, but your method seems more effective.

Yeah must be a dumb kid if we're being honest here. Kids are so toxic. They'll learn though.
Respect❤
💥💥💥💥
excellent . very useful
Bro.... Yes
So many producers are gatekeeping their samples, their process, tricks, etc. Not James tho. He genuinely wants to see other producers come up too.
I've been using Ableton for years and I feel I know more than average.
Love how you have a million things going on and call it "pretty straight forward"
Really interesting watch, nice one. 🔥

How do you get your automations on separate channels?
What kind of program you use James?
hey guys, ive got a question hopefully someone understand what I mean, this "grain" size thing in ableton is there a plugin that can make this automation sound for fl21? or am I totally wrong with my thought cause its smthg in the granulator
