“Blood for the Flayed God. Skulls for the Tomb Throne. 🤖 “
Seriously tho, the thought of Necrons suffering from the equivalent of the Red Thirst is downright TERRIFYING! No doubt that these gave rise to the rumors (confirmed or not) of Necrons being “Chaos Androids”! 😱
Indeed! They're well spooky, wouldn't want to be around any blood thirsting necrons. I seem to remember the Chaos android thing coming up fairly recently again in the lore, might need to check on what it was and do a little video on those strange origins
The question is if Khorne even takes them seriously or just sees them as mindless gatherers without having to bless them with transcendence or demonic gifts.
That's a fair question, but I imagine the gods would be completely ambivalent to the Necrons if they weren't such a big force. Since they have no souls they can't really contribute to the powers of the warp, so their actions of bloodshed probably wouldn't fuel Khorne? At least that would be my interpretation, they're still causing pain and agony, so as a biproduct of what they're doing they probably empower the demons a tiny bit. I imagine you're right about them being seen as perhaps mindless gatherers, although there would still be some glory to be lost out on from having a Necron shed the blood, rather than an actual devout follower of Khorne. @@evankimori
@@ScholarsloreWell remember, Knorne cares not from whence the blood flows. Only that it does. So I would assume the fact necrons are causing bloodshed and death would fuel khorne just cause its happening but it wouldnt empower him the same way someone serving him would. But what if a soulless being did purposely serve him? I wonder how that would work. Could they even physically be capable of serving him?
Gone off kindof a tangent here lol but now I'm wondering if blanks are soulless or if they have anti souls. Anyways, I heard that in old lore the chaos squats made the chaos androids but I believe both of those things were retconned
Well, scholar, I must say the reverie in which you speak about the Xenos and their tech sounds dangerously close to heresy.
just wait until you find out who the omnissiah is
Heresy? Who, me? No no no, you must have me mistaken with another scholar 👀
The voice you use is great, sure, but what sets this channel apart from the others using cg voices is the scripting and the lore accuracy.
Thank you, I do try and get the lore as accurate as possible. I'm far from perfect, and I've made a couple mistakes in the past (said there were 1000 marines in a company instead of a chapter being the one which comes to mind), but I really do want these to be as faithful to the lore as possible. I always write them with the codex's/rule books in front of me, so rest assured that the content is pretty much as GW is describing it.
In short:
Mephrit is basically what Adeptus Mechanicus to the Imperium, as in they have the best tech, the biggest guns, etc.
Novkh: your typical DnD barbarian class that just charges and hit people with a club, except the club is a giant Hyperphase meat cleaver.
Nephrekh: they have the best cryptek (Necron mages basically), they also have a device that can deletes any planet they want, but they refuse to use it because they saw the galaxy can go horribly wrong once they do (Yay Terra is safe!)
Nihilakh: Trazyn's dynasty, aka, you're the British museum.
I like to think that the British Museum is tucked up in some corner of Trazyn's collection in the "Pre Golden Age Humanity" exhibition.
@@Graygor. probably also the library of alexandreia and a huge bunch of other old knowledge, too.
you bet he also ready everything about the warp, i mean, imagine being asleep for 60 Million years and finding out that the new species have been researching your biggest enemy for you
honestly, a dynasty against "prime humanity" could be interesting.
Indeed!
There's still so many more I need to write about, personally I put Necron lore above the rest of the setting, something about them scratches an itch for me
That's such an incredible timing, 15 min ago I was ending a Necrons lore video and wanted a video about Dynasties to understand them better !
Many thanks :3 ♥
I actually published this 12 hours early, little misclick, but I'm glad that this twist of fate was helpful
Which is crazy because as soon as GamesWorkshop decided to give Necron more lore they immediately become fan favourite. I remember before 8th edition, before The Infinite and Divine, Necrons are basically Tyranids but metal, aka faceless hordes with little to no lore.
Indeed, the dark old days of mindless terminators!@@theotv5522
Definitely the best AI voice for 40k, perfectly paced and it seems pronunciation is spot on. I am always excited when new video notifications pop.
Certainly got it trained up well. One of these days I need to make a custom pronunciation doc just to make some of the 40k specific terms more consistent (tyranid often gets mispronounced), but in general I'm happy with how it sounds, and thank you
@@Scholarslore Wow, thanks for the reply. 🍻 Can't wait for your upcoming videos.
No problemo, I appreciate you watching and commenting @@M82Predator 😇
@@ScholarsloreAlso much love from me, appreciate your work. I‘m curious, did you fix the pronounciation for „Arbites“? 😄❤
I really love your videos and use them to fall asleep to just about nightly now for the past few months. I really enjoy when you go over an overarching story like damnos, and especially love it when the background noises and music go with the video great work!
Thank you! I'm glad they help you sleep. There'll be another story next week , this time about demons, so I hope you enjoy that one!
I want to know what happens when Necron meets Tyranid
Was just thinking about this like 48 hours ago lol
Tyranids try to avoid the barren metallic worlds of the Necrons, but once engaged in battle, their only hope is to drown the resurrection machines in bodies before they can effectively atomize all the Nids’ biomass.
@@UGNAvalon Yes! That! Now turn that into a 20 minute video
@@camg6400 A 20min action sequence? Sure. But 20min of just describing "and then the Necrons gauss'd the first line of Tyranids before being ripped apart by the second line, until they got resurrected and did it all over again" would get dull pretty fast. :/
It’s not fun for tyranids. No bio mass gained and their weapons permanently destroy tyranids by atomizing. The hive avoids tomb worlds. There is a great story about Dante n the Silent King involving the Nids
I miss Davids voice, voz it was totally a meme
But i feel like this is much more original and I can actually listen to it and take it serious
Keep up the good work
Yeah the old stuff was fun, but I was always a little uneasy with it, so I'm really pleased with this new direction (the whole debacle was a blessing in disguise). But cheers
I'd love to see a video on the Oruscar Dynasty and their Celestial Orrery specifically.
Thank you! I will be doing another of these dynasty vids, and for sure I’ll cover them in that one
I love necron lore. It’s what brought me to your channel in the first place. I appreciate how you jump straight into the story. No hate on Luetin but this is documentary level, and what I’m more into these days
Thanks! I also don't really like needless waffle before a video, so I'd rather leap straight in. Even the whole "greetings" intro stuff feels too long and drawn out for me, but it makes the video feel a bit comfier so I keep it in
Please do a video about the lesser known xenos species, maybe the most mysterious or dangerous, ever encountered.
Your war lore sermóns are always a good listen. Ty
How about a orc verse nid vid 😮
Thank you! Someone else was asking for the same thing recently, so I'm going to cover the Octarius war in a vid fairly soon, and hopefully that sates everyone's appetites for xeno x xeno action
Awesome! Can't wait for more! Please cover Tau vs Tyranids
Way more to come! Hmm Tau vs Tyranids would be good, the first topic which comes to mind would be hive fleet Gorgon, so perhaps I'll cover them sooner than the other hive fleets
I always loved how necrons dynasties were different colors and not all just green lol
Same here, gives them some good personality, and it's good that people can paint them as basically however they want, and that it'll still fit with the lore
Ngl i have always wanted to hear Attenboroughs voice narrate 40k lore books and stuff same woth star wars this is so perfect keep going and keep making these amazing stories i can fall asleep to i love it thanks
Thank you so much, that's very kind of you
Careful, dear scholar. The Inquisition may see this vid...
yessss necron lore
[fangurling intensifies]
Gotta respect our ancient predecessors!
The ships (yes, there is more than one shown at this time) shown at 32:19 are Borg, incase anyone is interested in knowing.
Ooo I didn't actually know that, I'm not so familiar with star trek ships 👀
@@ScholarsloreYeah, I am pretty sure these ships only get used in Star Trek Online though, as part of the "Red Alert" stf's
Let's not forget the Subehkhar Dynasty, who dwell within the 'Hollow Sun', a Dyson Sphere *inside* a star...
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Sir David Attenborough quality! love it
GW needs to bring you in as a codex lore text writer. You write whole sections of these better than they do.
Haha thank you, I mean that would be a dream to be honest. Writing this stuff is already incredibly gratifying, and enjoyable, but to actually carve out the lore for this setting? that would be amazing.
@@Scholarslore Would you have Necrons and Blood Angels fighting a foe together then leaving the system? If not you’re ahead of the game.
Oof, I would be far more inclined to leave some of those "alliance of necessity" situations as being few and FAR between, certainly not involving a founding chapter either. Always thought that was a messy implementation of that sort of scenario, so I'm not sure I'd have done it like that. In principle, I think that the 40k setting is large enough that you can have stories like that one, and they'll generally make sense, but that broad strokes like that tend to shift peoples perception of factions, and nuance can be lost, so it does just boil down to "necrons and imperium alliance", which forgoes some of the good parts of the tale. But anyway, rambling on. @@Fortunes.Fool.
Love your videos.
Thank you.
Thank you for watching!
Is this is on Spotify or something similar? I’m loving the audio and would love to be able to download it and take it when im traveling
Well if it isn't the immediate need to click and like

achieved 😁😁
Thank you
No, thank you!
Please cover at length The Badaab War ❤
Ooo I actually really want to do that one soon, so worry not, it'll come!
@Scholarslore oh my gosh PLEASE if you could! Huron Blackheart and his Red Corsairs are on orc-levels of adventure and fun times. The Blood Harvest and the Badaab War are so freaking cool
I wonder what would happen if the Silent King sinply decided to deactivate the Command Protocols he had over the entire species instead of erasing them completely. That way, in the event that he ever needed to return and take command, as unlikely as that possibility would have been, it would be relatively straightforward and he could activate all of the still-functional tomb worlds at once instead of the erratic, inconsistent shitshow they are now.
Would certainly make his job easier, but I'm glad that they've not kept that in their pocket, would erase too much of the interesting, and unique stories from the other dynasties!
Necronss!!!
Best faction

We need a league's of votaan video
It would only be about 5 minutes though
@be1394 fair, haven't read the codex so I wasn't sure how much lore was added when that came out. I just find the little that I've heard super interesting
could be about squats in general, perhaps.
I know! I really need to work on it! I haven't actually got the LOV codex though, so I need to pick it up and study them, honestly know very little about them in the current setting unfortunately. I will do them this year though, think they have a new codex coming out even? if so then hopefully there will be some new lore to add into the vids
Could you link the background audio?
This is "Tokyo Rains Meditation" by "NaturesEye" on Pixabay. It has been slowed/extended/pitch shifted however, so its a little different from the original version
Necrons... Contradict themselves... Worse than the Borg...
As brother sa'kan said they had their chance and they lost it
Totenkhanin 😊
😊
Can you repost the old stuff with current voice?
are they blessed or doomed to have no females?..I wonder 🙂
I mean technically since they shed their bodies during the biotransference, then around half of the robotic necrons are actually women, but everyone has the same neutral frame so you can't tell from a glance who is who. The Maynarkh dynasty (who could be blamed for creating the flayer virus) had/have a female phaeron known as the mother of oblivion!
@@Scholarslorethank you the explanation. Im looking fowar when ever you re-upload the destroyer video. I liked it so much the lore the fitting music.
Omnissiah be praised!!
My humble greetings folks
32:16 This is not 40K Tech. This is a Borg Unimatrix Dreadnought, as can be experienced in the Online Game, Star Trek Online. Bad Scholar~!

your English degree level script writing is fantastic. truly these videos are exaltations to be remembered.
Ah thank you, that's very kind
