I was looking for a chapter with Polish flavor. Now I have Warsaw born religious maniacs with silver chains drip. All of them with firm believe that they are chosen by God himself and placed in Warsaw area, to carry the task of defending that flank of known Civilisation, Culture and Religion. It's a dangerous duty, as they will be wiped out first if the horde will come in force, but they accept it with an honor and pride. Weird bunch, but if they offer help, you know they mean it. For some reason their bosses names sounds oddly familiar. Artek was it? Andrzej? Arkadiusz? I don't know, nobody understands their accent anyway. 9/10 Polish, Thank You LOL What's the deal with Varsavia (Polish capital in Italian if someone don't know)), is that something from You? I now finally have a good project for that Molotov Chrome paint I bought 2 years ago. When airbrushed it looks like true chrome coating, amazing metallic effect. Good base layer for Silver Skulls. Marko Frisoni have few good videos on using that paint.
@anirecapped. The author that created them clarified that's because most of them are recruited from the tribesmen of their chapter's homeworld and that they keep such traditions and superstition after becoming space marines (basically the culture of the recruiting world affecting the chapter over time). Plus Dantioch WAS superstitious and used the Emperor's tarot before being recruited by Guilliman for Imperium Secundus (and kept doing it even after that), so if they are truly the successors of his battalion then they could have just inherited the practice from him and over time combined it with those of the tribesmen of their new homeworld after they became the Silver Skulls chapter.
Between the Silver Skulls, Mortifactors, and Emperor Spears and provably another 10-20 chapters just due to how many UM successors there are supposed to be, I think Guilleman had Russ beat on the tribal/babarian/superstitious chic.
You mean -redacted- chapter or -redacted- Legion ... 2nd or 11th... -Redacted- . So if that Primarch -redacted- is -redacted- then it follows that -redacted- is the primogenitor of -redacted- . *HERESY - BLAM*
The Silver Skulls are example of just how far the Ultramarines successors can become, and perhaps their origins are more of a different genetic linage compared to the Warriors of Ultramar, but perhaps of a linage of iron from which that silver skull was made of.
GILLIMAN made the loyalist Iron Warriors and Death Guard his Silver Skull and Mortifactors so that people wouldn’t kill them for being traitor stock. Also gives me a chance to make Primaris of the 4 and 14 with those conversion bits and my GILLIMAN model
I think I must be the only guy who is happy to accept this chapter as Ultramarines successors. Yeah, their logo looks kind of similar - god forbid that two Astartes chapters in the entire Milky Way galaxy should happen to both have stylised skulls as their insignia and vaguely similar colour schemes. I don't think there is anything else that is standout about them that should make people think this.
Love those videos, always a blast to discover a new chapter. I would love to see the dark krakens receive this treatment once you're done with the ultra's successors
1:42 I found out recently that these guys were actually supposed to be WS successors, seemingly another chapter that is a victim of “when in doubt Ultramarine or Imperial Fist”
Next please the White Consuls and their interesting character Captain Vitrian Messinius, Lord Lieutenant of the fleet Tertius of the Indomitus Crusade.
Why do we think they're Iron Warriors, is it just because of their emblem? Is it because Dantioch's Batallion was sheltered by Guilliman? I don't think anyone bearing the geneseed of Perturabo could bring themselves to practice such a mystical and illogical method as the Silver Skulls do with their Librarians.
But Dantioch himself used the emperor's tarot, he was superstitious himself to an extent, and the tribal culture of the recruits aren't stamped out by the extreme rigidity of the 4th, it's not so incredulous to me😊
Even choosing to overlook the wild differences in their methods of warfare, ideological approach and ritual trophy-taking ... The fact that they are Ultramarines successors, not Iron Warriors, is literally printed in the Codex. But sure, feel free to reject reality and substitute your own - it makes about as much sense as the Blood Ravens being Thousandsons successors when it has been publicly stated by the studio that they're not 🤣
For the sons of perturabo....THE SILVER SKULLS ARE NOT IRON WARRIORS.....for the love of god...lol they have lore the shows they come from a world of head hunters, and they dip those skulls in silver...hence silver skulls....Love your work!
Thank you so much for utilising so much of the lore I wrote into 'Portents' - it's ultra-gratifying.

>refuses to give up ground they've taken
>silver and black armour
Yep, totally Guilliman's kids...
Peter Turbo maybe the father, but he ain't their daddy.
Totally an Ultramarines successor chapter…..
A chapter that has nothing to do with iron warriors 😊
Superstitious. Live on an icy death world. An icy death world that only has one continent in the north. Sounds like space wolves.
@@MatthewBrown-bf5lzapparently WS originally
Put them next to the Crimson Fists, if they develop an immediate bromance then we will know.
If I remember correctly, they were formed in honour of Barabas Dantioch who was the loyalist iron warrior who aided the loyalists
Iron within Iron without 😅 The Emperor Protects
They are definitely NOT from Dantioch's grand batallion... NO 😂😂😂
they have his mask for their icon, but the Emperor's Scythes have the true mask as a relic.

@@marcialhd you forgot the part where the author said that they are Legit UM successors. And she also wanted them to be WS at first.
I heard they liberated this world Serenade from some orks a while back, even erected a statue to a weirdly armored librarian! The Emperor protects!
**The Inquisition would like to know your location**
Shame the Inquisition never gave that statue back
Yes, the totally "not" Iron Warriors successors! Ave Imperator!
Silver within, silver without.
Jokes aside, I didn't think you could hear someone winking but I swear I heard winking for almost ten minutes just now.
Finally , silver skulls remembrancer , dantioch is proud of u brother
Heard these guys specialize in breaking sieges and assaulting static fortification
“Oh, so *That’s* what happened to Dantioch and his men.”
“Who’s Dantioch, father?”
“Not important.”
-Guilliman meeting the Silver Skulls.
And they call us convoluted😄... Hydra dominatus, for the Emperor

Thank you for doing a video on the Silver Skulls.
The video is great as always!
Always nice to hear when a chapter treats its serfs with a bit of respect...definitely a surprise for Perty's sons.... ;)
Whoever is in charge of logging the Astartes chapters must get so confused sometimes.
Too much amasec before the shift and maybe some while the shift is ongoing.

Trazyn and Orikan are Silver Skulls too. 😂
Lmfao such a good book
@@Lomhow I love the line about Orikan and his general attitude "He would fist fight the sun if he thought it was telling him what to do."
sweet glad you talked about the boys that have the icon of a Great Loyalist from Iron Warriors Gene Stock.
