WOW a singer that sounds exactly like the original recording with no auto tune or backing record vocals. What a concept. Take notes to today singing superstars, this is how it should be done.
@@hxsm8090 blachubear didn't say that. All they are saying is she sounds like the original recording. Not saying it is not her but she did such a good job her voice is barely different from when she first recorded her vocals in 1999.
She's probably one of the greatest singer of the 90s. Really love her voice, her angelic face. She resembles Hayley Williams. Or maybe, i guess, Leigh was one of Hayley's infuence in music and style.
No matter what anybody says, no one can deny that Leigh has a Voice that was given to her as a gift from the almighty. Thank you for passing your gift onto us!!--- truly a beautiful person inside and on the outside!!
There is nothing wrong with her face. She's just a lot older than when she sang with Sixpence None the Richer. And she can still sing ... which is what really matters.
So like I'm here because when I was little I had kidz bop on my mp3 and yeah, this song has been stuck in my head for about 10 years and I never knew what it was until now, now I'm satisfied with life

This songs brings back so many good memories of the year it was released. First time i heard live acoustic. She sound just as good live as she did on record+she looks great.
For those who, for some reason, are more concerned about how she is looking than how she is sounding, this looks like it might have been recorded early in the morning, or perhaps, as someone else said, while she was getting over a cold. Basically one of those times when you can't be bothered to look your best (and she still manages to look cute here, imho). On top of that, she tends to look better with her hair up or cut short (google Leigh Nash in my hour of darkness or, better yet, Leigh Nash kiss me infinity hall live - both show this pair at around the same time frame). All that aside, her voice sounds just as pure and ethereal as it did back in the day (and managing it without the cover that other instruments would provide). In a world of facades, it's not often you come across anything that is genuine. Leigh Nash is the real deal.
Man this lady can still sing!! Note perfect, no embellishments, just pure class. (Guitarist was sound too.) Yeah she's matured, who the fuh doesn't? Thanks for this upload, straight into my favourites.
i must had been 13 when this song came out. Who didnt fall madly in love with her after seeing the video and listening to that lovely voice?????? man it was magical. Now Im almost 30 and pffffffff.......still madly in love with that singer. I always wondered what happened to that band......
Singing this song 1998 in college cafetaria, 1 girl sing along with me.. she's new... She's cute.. Today she gave me 2 cute kids.. Thanks God. Thank you whoever wrote this song.. God bless
Leigh...you are truly blessed with a remarkable singing voice. Rare to find someone that can bend notes as well as you. If there's a God handing out blessings then you were certainly in God's path of showered blessings.
This song resonates my mind like a dream of a warm summer night at the county fair, with the colorful carnival lights, cotton candy and a neon lit farris wheel spinning against the moonlight, and the young lover embraced in a kiss.
"Kiss Me is" probably the most perfectly composed, recorded, and sung pop songs ever made. It swirls over every green backyard garden on a summer summer evenng. It's right in the middle - neither self-indulgent, nor puerile.
LYRICS Kiss me out of the bearded barley Nightly, beside the green, green grass Swing, swing, swing the spinning step You'll wear those shoes and I will wear that dress Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight Lead me out on the moonlit floor Lift you open hand Strike up the band, and make the fireflies dance silvermoon's sparkling So kiss me Kiss me down by the broken tree house Swing me, upon its hanging tire Bring, bring, bring your flowered hat We'll take the trail marked on your father's map Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight Lead me out on the moonlit floor Lift you open hand Strike up the band, and make the fireflies dance silvermoon's sparkling So kiss me kiss me beneath the milky twilight Lead me out on the moonlit floor Lift you open hand Strike up the band, and make the fireflies dance silvermoon's sparkling So kiss me So kiss me So kiss me So kiss me
it still sounds the same as she sings it acoustic. amazing smooth voice who doesn't remember the video and the movie "She's All That" Rachel Lee Cook ❤❤❤❤
Both this song and the voice of Leigh Nash, are so lovely, make my heart overflow with joy ... The voice I love most is the voice of Elvis Presley, followed by the voice of Leigh Nash. For those who posted the video, congratulations and many hugs from Brazil

Perhaps it's just my imagination, but I've watched many videos of this song performed by Leigh Nash over the years and there always seems to be a sadness in her eyes, like she's somewhere else. Anyone else seen that? Love this song though and no-one could sing it like Leigh, wonderful artist and that accent..... Ooh la la!
I have some of the fondest moments of my life during the time Leah Mash started out. Leah Your so cute in this video, & I still love listening to You. God Bless You Leah Nash ;P

She remains so consistent with her voice and her beauty. Because, perhaps, she is elegant, unpretentious, and......herself.

Leigh is the sweetest lady I've ever seen. I love it because she smiles when performing.
My 1st love used to tell me how this song makes her think of me. 20 years later and it makes me cry thinking of her.
After 20 years still great voice, still great heart, still great memories of the 90's.
Her voice is incredible. Sounds just like the recording, pitch perfect. How many artists can pull that off live?
There is nothing wrong with her face. She's just a lot older than when she sang with Sixpence None the Richer. And she can still sing ... which is what really matters.
30 years from now this will be counted as one of those 'timeless' songs. Beautiful girl, voice, song...
Gentle and beautiful voice. Very blessed to have had such a wonderful and lovely hit and deserving of it too.

LYRICS
Kiss me out of the bearded barley
Nightly, beside the green, green grass
Swing, swing, swing the spinning step
You'll wear those shoes and I will wear that dress
Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift you open hand
Strike up the band, and make the fireflies dance silvermoon's sparkling
So kiss me
Kiss me down by the broken tree house
Swing me, upon its hanging tire
Bring, bring, bring your flowered hat
We'll take the trail marked on your father's map
Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift you open hand
Strike up the band, and make the fireflies dance silvermoon's sparkling
So kiss me
kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor
Lift you open hand
Strike up the band, and make the fireflies dance silvermoon's sparkling
So kiss me
So kiss me
So kiss me
So kiss me
