Both of her parents had past away in a car accident. She was already on track for a music career, but she set it aside to take care of her siblings until they were old enough to take care of themselves. Only then did she pursue her dream. And just look at her now!
A Canadian 🇨🇦music legend who her worked her way out of childhood poverty raising two younger siblings at the age of 18, after the tragic accidental death of both parents. She supported them by singing in local resorts and hotels in Ontario before getting her big commercial break in her late twenties. She’s still one of my favorite country vocalists and I saw her in her first big international tour in Montreal back in the 1990’s. Fantastic show, great singer, beautiful woman inside and out and humble at heart. This is probably my favorite ballad of hers, such a pretty melody and lyrics, and not easy to sing well.

My favorite Shania Live will always be the Chicago UP! Tour which I have on DVD! No big art show just great musicians and entertainers in concert. It looked like they all were having the time of their lives on that stage. I watch it often. I cannot watch From This Moment On without ending up in tears.
