I was going to play it for her on out 20 year wedding anniversary, but she died in hospital about a month before that came. Two years to the day since she passed away. I miss you Sharri.

A Canadian 🇨🇦music legend who her worked her way out of childhood poverty raising two younger siblings at the age of 18, after the tragic accidental death of both parents. She supported them by singing in local resorts and hotels in Ontario before getting her big commercial break in her late twenties. She’s still one of my favorite country vocalists and I saw her in her first big international tour in Montreal back in the 1990’s. Fantastic show, great singer, beautiful woman inside and out and humble at heart. This is probably my favorite ballad of hers, such a pretty melody and lyrics, and not easy to sing well.
