      Hi Chris, thanks for the great video. I noticed on your steering wheel on the left, you at least have the basic volume control buttons, exactly like my 2010 Honda Civic. In your video, you say “we don’t have steering wheel controls in this civic” so you’re using the basic scosche HA10B harness, BUT In your description it says “If you have steering wheel VOLUME CONTROLS get the Crux harness”.
      Could u confirm for me if the scoshe worked with controlling the volume of the Sony Radio via steering wheel volume? I’m just a bit confused so I want to make sure if I get the basic Scoshe, the volume button on the steering wheel will control the volume on the Sony? I will be installing the exact radio you installed so I just want to make sure I’m taking the correct products to my mechanic. Thanks In advance.

      @@uniquetress7149 We did not have the steering wheel controls, so no, the Scosche harness will not work to control the radio. You will need the crux harness.

      Heyy I’m having an issue with no sound. I have no idea what it is. I have a DX so no premium sound system. I’m getting power. And I kno the speakers work. Have any ideas. What did u do with the secondary harness that was plugged into the oenology radio. Cause you have the main. Then there an additional one that I can’t figure out. And it only has 6 wires and after looking for hours and hours. It doesn’t have that light blue wire that would be the amp power on. You didn’t seem to bypass the amp here so any advice.

    If you have steering wheel volume controls you would like to retain with your civic, use the Crux SWRHN-62B harness adapter instead of the Scosche HA10B Wiring Harness Adapter. The Crux adapter is a simple plug and play unit which allows you to keep those buttons working on the steering wheel with the new radio. Cheers!

    I watched the Crutchfield install video and thought...... why do you need to remove the entire dash? It didn't seem necessary. You proved me right, and you installed the climate control module in correctly. Also very professional soldering job, nice job !!! Crutchfield is tops but their video, while it covered the install well, was a little sloppy and amateurish.

    Also the L brackets you used , my face plate came with but the holes didn't match up with the cheapo head unit I have which also came with metal L brackets. I was able to drill/modify those brackets. Longest part of my install, lol.

    Scosche HA10B Compatible with Select 2006-10 Honda Civic Power/Speaker Connector / Wire Harness for Aftermarket Stereo Installation with Color Coded Wires I know the video says 2006 up but wondering if this will work for my 2011 honda civic LX it does say compatible with select 2006-2010 so I was wondering if its still compatible for mine. Thanks!

    If we don’t have a reverse camera to install we can cover that wire up correct? No issues?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, and as the reverse trigger wire on the radio is an input, not an output, you can just leave it as is as it won't hurt anything.

      There should be a connector in the back of your unit that may say ANT. Not sure if your unit came with one. If you're talking about your antenna power wire, he wired it to the power wire.

    I just got my new sjoybring stero and installed it, it comes with a backup camera and i didn’t put it in because the wire was too short. It works well when the car is parked but as soon as you put it in gear and start moving the stero cuts out and then when you stop the car and put it into park the stero comes back on. Any thoughts to what this is?
