The best complete guide that I can find for 8th gen Civics. And done the RIGHT way, very hard to find people that do this quality and are willing to record it to share with others.
Appreciate the guide, just did a backup Cam on my girls 06 civic last week. I opted to install some brighter reverse bulbs instead of a Cam with lights
Thanks for the video. I'm going to be installing my GPS/radio in a few days. I was wondering where you placed the GPS receiver. I was expecting you to place the receiver on the dash but I didn't see it.
Question! When u put the new head unit did your climate control knobs spot lighting up when u turn the light on at night? Mine did I’m just wondering if there’s a way to make them work??
Hey, I have a question. if I wanted to put a box subwoofer in my 2006 Honda civic coupe would i need any special connectors to plug into the stock head unit? also can the stock head unit handle a sub? the sub has a built in amp. and i believe it connects to the head unit using RCA. I don't really know anything about audio installation, but id like to do it myself without having to pay for labor. I also dont want to solder or connect any wires if possible. is there a harness or something i can buy where i could just plug the subwoofer into the head unit along while still having the stock speakers connected?? thank you so much and i appreciate any help!!
I have a SWI RC1 module connected to my 07 civic ex with premium system. The white wire from the module is connected to the pink wire. And the the black module wire to the brown . The light in the module turns on but i cant get it to program to the steering wheel. I followed the instructions on how to reset it and still nothing. Any recommendations??
If I install a new head unit on my 2006 Honda Civic EX with Premium sound, will I still be able to use the factory amp and sub. Can I just install the head unit and use my sound system?
Hi good night quick question i have a honda civic si 2009 with premium sound i have issue in the steering wheel control ASWC-1 im conect and the steering controls dont working
did you wire the correct wires the ascw-1 needs three wires, ground(black), accessory(red), gray/red(steeering wheel control positive). Then you also need to find the steering wheel control negative and connect that to ground.
What size pins are those on the connector for the steering wheel control plug that come in that kit? If I wanted to keep AUX in and steering wheel controls I would need more than it comes with. Any source for them?
In case anyone else ever looks for this, I found that purchasing the Masetro HRN-RR-HO1 wiring kit has this connector with wires in the right pins to not only accommodate the steering wheel controls but also the factory AUX input if you have one.
Do you have pre-made wire harness for 2008 civic si with premium audio?(commented before you said look on the site coming soon) I have been researching far and wide because i am having to install an aftermarket HU mine is dying. What i have ordered is the HU, dash kit with the am/fm antenna adapter and the Scosche HA13B im pretty confident that i can get it all installed on my own but i sure with i stumbled upon this before i tried to piece this all together. The HU comes with a remote so im not interested in retaining my steering wheel controls, but i cannot stress enough how much i want to retain the factory amp and sub, do you think i have everything that i need to attempt the install?
I got a 2008 Honda Civic Ex Sedan 1.8L and I want to install the same radio with everything in your description. I got a question on Metra Axxess ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface. If I install maestro rr do I have to install axxess ASWS-1 universal steering wheel control interface as well? Or do I still have to install both? Thank you again.

“This car is a rather simple install” for you maybe! Lol
Very thorough and professional job. Thanks for sharing.
I have been poking around online for a while and this is by far the best video I've found that summarizes all of my research. Great work!

Do you still sell the harness for the steering wheel control for the civic? Clicked the link but says it’s not there anymore.

My wheel controllers not working. I need an adapter to connect them?
Please remember to DISCONNECT negative battery before starting! (Just in case) 😁
Why do you recommend the parking brake cable? Is that just so you can play movies while driving? Or am I missing something?
Big thanks for your practical tutorial.
When the license plate light is on, will it be blocked by the Navinio back up camera?

Quick question, can you swap the standard button climate controls with the digital ones that come in the better version?
Thanks

Do you do or have you converted a gas honda to electric yet?
Where can I get that wire setup from I checked the link nothing there
Will the complete wired harness work on other radios besides the ones listed on the site? Bought on Amazon, but isn’t any brand on the website
Parking brake bypass site not working-- I get an error
Would the process be the same if I was going electric?
we are unsure.
Como se llaman o que es el # de partes de harness para ordenarlo ya que tengo las mismas conexiones de radio que tu y solo nesecito los cables
Thanks so much bro
thanks for information :)

no you only need one or the other we recommend the AXSCW-1 which is the new part number or the RR.
Yes I've installed an aftermarket for my 2008 Honda Civic and want steering wheel controls between Axxess ASWS1 or idatalink maestro. Any luck?
