      Kari Grandi Dave's videos have high production value. He doesn't need to use clickbait to get people to watch his videos. He doesn't usually use it either so I thought I'd point out that I definitely noticed.
      So to me it's pretty obvious which one out of the two of us is the immature one here.

    Why the lady got blushed in her country for you? If she was really old lady, then there might be one answer. In Finland english in schools is pretty new thing. We don't have to go back so much, example at 1950-1970 english was very new language in the schools, and it took until 1980 when it actually became popular between students. Before that teaching english in schools was very limited, but they learned more Swedish and German language. So. I believe the lady got blushed since she might not know how to answer you back. It's polite to say that it's ok, but this moment the lady might not have the words.

    Hi Dave, I also have often the same feeling that you described at the end of the video. My strategy is to just shout at myself that "I AM THE BEST" to get my self-confidence up. Secondly, your audience just wants to see you doing something that you enjoy. All the best to you!

    I visited Finland last March and I had a lot of anxiety not knowing the language and going out by myself, especially to the grocery store. I had a couple of people trying to speak to me. The most memorable was I was walking on a frozen lake and an old man who was out there stopped to chat about something. I had to sheepishly tell him I don't speak Finnish so we had this weird ackward moment in the middle of a lake with no one around.

    You can use the city bike for longer than 30 minutes - it will just cost you additional €1 per 30 minutes. You can’t use it for longer than 5 hours though - you would be fined €80 for that.

    • @Otto3339
      @Otto3339 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      anastasia_oz thats fucking expencive! What about that bike card or is that with the card.

    • @anastasia1206
      @anastasia1206 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Finland is expensive in general... *duh* I haven't heard of any special bike cards. You can link the HSL travel card to your account and use it to identify yourself but not to pay for the bike. You pay with your credit card. But within the plan you have unlimited 30-minute rides, so if you need to cycle for longer than 30 minutes, you can just return the bike to the nearest station before that time runs out and immediately take the same bike again. That's what I've always done to avoid paying an additional euro :)

    • @Otto3339
      @Otto3339 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      anastasia_oz isnt like 30€ fot the whole summer.

    • @anastasia1206
      @anastasia1206 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yes, it is. And this includes unlimited 30-minute rides. If you want to cycle for longer than 30 minutes, the first 30 minutes will be included in the plan but you would have to pay additional 1 Euro for the next 30 minutes.

    • @Otto3339
      @Otto3339 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    my tip for doing some things that might seem embarrassing to do for you... imagine yourself seeing someone else doing it. Like filming themselves in public. What would YOU think about, seeing it? For me, even if filming yourself was very unusual to see, I'd still immediately understand that this person probably has a reason for doing that. After all filming yourself isn't weird, the only thing making it unusual is daring to do it in public. So it would make me curious enough to look for a couple of moments but then I'd just move on, no big deal. So why would any other stranger think you're weird for it? Or if they do, doesn't it just mean that they're a very judgemental person, in which case... who cares what they think?

    If you are in Helsinkin during the Summer I can recommend the Flow Festival. It is definitely the most adult festival in Finland (and also one of the only ones I know that is adults only). Even though I don't know the artist I have always had a good time. I think it is the best organized festival in Finland.

    the last winter was so snowy but most winters aren't especially in the very southern parts of Finland. In south of Finland there are winters that have snow only occasionally during the winter. And I guess as climate warms more snowy winters in southern parts of the country will become more rare.

    You should definitely check out "Erämessut" this summer in Riihimäki! It runs through 7th and 10th of June and there are all kinds of outdoors stuff related to fishing, hunting, trecking, nature and so on! There are also a lot of different artisans doing traditional work such as smithing, carving and jewellery. And a lot of good food and especially paistetut muikut are great and them alone are a reason to visit in my books =) I live right next to them so I always visit when they're in town. But yea! Definitely check it out!

    Go check out hakametsä in Tampere if you can. Also if you have time, Nokia is a city in Finland and is near Tampere and if you can you should come check it out. It's really beautifull, peacefull and really weird as in it's part city and part countryside. Like my house, from the front yard you see a school and other houses and stuff but from the back yard it's just a forest.
