- People have been telling me for YEARS that I have to try some of Tampere's hottest wings... so I got some! Plus I go and check out a real public sauna.

The best part of Sauna time is jumping into cold water after. (then a beer to refresh always helps)

Ha you got trolled in the sauna. The spot next to the stove is usually the coolest spot to be as the vapor and steam goes up and then pushed to sides of the cealing due to more vapor pushing it around.

i rreally liked this video! it was fun to hear you scatter some finnish in your speech - and also 'saunaing', what a finnish way to bend a verb 😄. i enjoyed your insight to other ppls first reactions to finland! you just seemed very content, real and relaxed in this video. will you do more of your learning finnish vids btw? rooting for you in those is the best! also, no more mere +7 weathers in helsinki this week haha 😎

Hook (has restaurant in Helsinki, Tampere and Turku) has one of the hottest wings in Finland, they have challenge to get your face on Hall of Fame if you can eat 8 of their wings. Those wings cost 14,90€ so not too bad. Sauce is made out of Naga Morich so the wings should have around 1.000.000 scoville in heat. Would make an interesting video.

You should go to a place called Vapriikki in Tampere, it's a place where there are different exhibitions for an example about the history of finnish hockey.
BTW I love your videos and this new camera is amazing. Your editing is also much better now than year ago

Hey Dave, fun fact about sauna! The hottest place is actually not near the kiuas when throwing löyly. Hottest place is actually the most far and highest place in the sauna! ;)
We jad two football games one on saturday in Pori and on sunday in Tampere, and we travelled that 4hrs to Pori from Kotka in a mini bus that didn`t have working air conditioning

Little bit over 30C° and the water is around 15 - 20C°
Really it's too hot it woukd BE much better around 20C°

Have you tried the Hornet wings you make yourself in the oven? You can get them in K and Prisma (and probably others).
They have normal ones and spicy ones, I thought the difference wasn't big.
I'm not sure how they compare to the wings you tried there, but they're not bad!

Like said earlier in Finnish by others, you can now find the same shop in Helsinki too, if you Dave fancy it again. It’s in the Fennia-building, in the food court next to Kinopalatsi movie theather. Oh and there’s currently -30% deal on Offerilla deal site to the place.
Were you in the tall tower? If you are in Tampere (Tammerfors) the tower is a must... It was so cool. :-)

In Jyväskylä we had like 2 weeks 27 - 30 degree
It's so awesome when people who don't speak finnish call sausage "makkara". Some makkara and beer 😄✨ so great
It is actually super hard to find actually spicy food in Finland. Sometimes it feels like adding extra black pepper puts the heat rating of a food to 5/5 (or 3/3 or 10/10) since traditionally Finnish food is made with only a little seasoning. On the other hand, some places advertise that they make "really hot food" and they dump a ton of different chillies to the food without caring at all about the taste.
Thus, I would be surprised if some restaurant chain had something good and spicy on their list. (Small places might make exeptions)

@dave, did U taste black sausage with lingonberry jam? that is Tampere's local food. it isnt my favorite, but sometime I eat it.
siipiveikon chicken wings is the best and better than black sausege. :D
For actual hot challenges in Tampere are for example "Death burger" which you can get from "Jack The Rooster" and "Naga morich wings" you can get from Hook. Kamikaze sauce is not that bad at Siipiweikot and I also think that their XXHOT is as equal hot, but a lot better tasting. Thanks for visiting my favorite wings place. =)

So you have been in Lapland,Helsinki,Turku and now Tampere? You seem to have seen most of the big cities (big on Finnish scale only). :) You are only missing Oulu in the over 200K people category. Also Jyväskylä,Lahti and Kuopio in the over 100K people category. Finland has tons of beautiful countryside,a lifetime is not enough to see all of it.

Did anyone else notice how Dave switch to new and better camera and the picture goes worse immediately? For example the freckles on his forehead go blurry and details are not there anymore
If you want really good wings, you should go to Siipiweikot.
Siipiweikot is THE place to get your wings in Tampere. Have not had better wings anywhere.
