Kenny at the end is like the nurturing uncle we always wanted but never had. He's saying the words our own parents would never say, like, "I'm proud of you" and "you did good" those kind words, as simple as they were, would have been nice to hear, in our generation, when we were growing up.
Yeah, I might be reading too much into it, but the look on J's face says that it meant a lot, and he didn't hear it much from older people growing up.

Whenever you wanna upgrade and make the videos better.. you should start with podcast microphones.. one for each.. that would improve the sound so much and filter out everything thats not supposed to be there. :) very good videos though!! I love watching them.

Chinatown was hectic in the 80-90’s.
I almost got into this life back in HK. Crazy how my intuition told me not to join in the 90s. I respect the Ogs on this channel for being as raw and uncut as possible. Makes it therapeutic for them as well as enjoyable for listeners. Thanks for sharing

Came across this channel from watching Johnny Chang (ex wah ching gangster) to China Mac interviewing him and then CGS interviewing Mac China . Have been on a binge watch on your videos that i did not know existed in china town NY. Would be great to have you or other members interview Johnny Chang about his stories and up bringing.
Chinatown in Manhattan and Flushing Queens were the real deal in the 70’s/80’s/90’s. If you went in there to cause a problem you better be ready to fight.😂

There's a common vibe anyone who's been through legitimate strife seems to have that's totally devoid of any braggadocio or posturing. They've been there, done that. They have a reverence for the luck that has been bestowed upon them that manifests itself with a quiet but intense demeanor. Great interview.
This guy “J” has a voice MADE for storytelling/podcasting!!!
He sounds like a mix of Ray Liotta in Goodfellas, the main character from that Chinese gangster/GTA-style video game (I forget the name), and a sprinkle of Heath Ledger’s Joker.
Actually, he kinda sounds like Barry Keoghan’s Joker at times, too.
Long story short, he has an amazing voice, and the stories to match! I hope he comes out with a TH-cam channel!

I’m a New Yorker of Irish-Italian descent. I can listen to these stories all day. These guys have so much in common with the Italian American community in NYC. The 70’s/80’s were an incredible time to be alive here in NY. Every neighborhood had a crew. I remember walking through Chinatown buying fireworks and seeing some of the Canal Boys on Canal st selling their fake watches.
Jack was the one that kept me in school and told me to go home every day.
Norman was the one that kept me safe from bullies…
That unfortunate incident should never have happened. RIP Norman, Mike and Jack…
