    Kenny at the end is like the nurturing uncle we always wanted but never had. He's saying the words our own parents would never say, like, "I'm proud of you" and "you did good" those kind words, as simple as they were, would have been nice to hear, in our generation, when we were growing up.

    I literally grew up in those neighborhood that they mentioned in the 90s though. Good thing to know their stories that I never knew. Definitely need to make movies and tv series about this. 🙏

    I almost got into this life back in HK. Crazy how my intuition told me not to join in the 90s. I respect the Ogs on this channel for being as raw and uncut as possible. Makes it therapeutic for them as well as enjoyable for listeners. Thanks for sharing

    There's a common vibe anyone who's been through legitimate strife seems to have that's totally devoid of any braggadocio or posturing. They've been there, done that. They have a reverence for the luck that has been bestowed upon them that manifests itself with a quiet but intense demeanor. Great interview.

    This guy “J” has a voice MADE for storytelling/podcasting!!!
    He sounds like a mix of Ray Liotta in Goodfellas, the main character from that Chinese gangster/GTA-style video game (I forget the name), and a sprinkle of Heath Ledger’s Joker.
    Actually, he kinda sounds like Barry Keoghan’s Joker at times, too.
    Long story short, he has an amazing voice, and the stories to match! I hope he comes out with a TH-cam channel!

      I’m a New Yorker of Irish-Italian descent. I can listen to these stories all day. These guys have so much in common with the Italian American community in NYC. The 70’s/80’s were an incredible time to be alive here in NY. Every neighborhood had a crew. I remember walking through Chinatown buying fireworks and seeing some of the Canal Boys on Canal st selling their fake watches.
