I don't think I'll get tired of listening to that intro music. The horn and piano blend together so well! It's so nice on the ears. Solar Fields really knows how to nail environments.
Looking great! My only concern is that EA really needs to start marketing this game more by revealing the open world gameplay / multiplayer details... These dev diary videos are really cool for hardcore fans like you and me, but I think the world needs to see more so more people can get excited for this and the game will sell well... Fingers crossed :)
+SlushPuppieGaming who said its single player only? I bet that there will be a coop mode in this game. If that wasn't true they wouldn't release a beta at all.
+MechWomanWarrior15 To be fair, Mirror's Edge is an old game at this point. 8 years is ancient from a video game/technological standpoint. Old school fits pretty well here.
GNatanel You're absolutely right, sir. Still have a hard time believing it's that old. But... this was the first time I've ever heard one of the games I played as a teenager called "old school." Just felt a little...cool inside XD
I want to express my deep gratitude to the designers and developers of this game in general. I think they managed to create one of the most beautiful games ever. Such designs, such sunsets and sunrises, clouds, musical accompaniment. This game is truly alive. Thank you for being you!
This is a dream come true, whenever I listen that music and see the CITY OF GLASS it feels like out of the world experience sometimes emotional. It's so soothing so relaxing feels like I've time traveled into the future. It's an otherworldly experience. Thanks from the depth of my heart for giving me this gift it's marvellous.
hope you developers read it, thank you for what you create, City of glass is absolutely stunning especially in this game with the introduction of day/night cycle, yeah it's a little bit an empty world that's why I enjoyed linear game more than open world but still enjoyable, i really hope to see a new game in the near future because this futuristic setting you develop it's simply amazing, only the Neo-Paris of Remember me came closer to this city's concept, don't let this project going in the trash box, work on it! good luck
With the looks of this game already and the story being re-written, it is outstanding, I am positive people will still be talking about it and playing it for years to come
I've no strength to walk past the opening scene where you have to climb the ladder and Mirror's Edge Catalyst intro pops up. Damn! That moment is just Mesmerizing 😭😭😭 I want to relieve that moment everyday 😭😭😭
The one recurring concern that the dev diaries don't really cover is the amount of stuff to do (mini-quests, for lack of a better term). Yes, they've mentioned it in like 3 seconds of one video, but they never went in-depth. I really want to see how this game is worth as much as, if not more than, Dying Light. Graphical fidelity doesn't get me playing a game for much longer than great gameplay and diversity.
DICE! YOU HAVE TO UPLIAD MORE OF THESE! IT FILLS ME WITH EXCITEMENT FOR THE GAME, AND THE MORE THE PUBLIC KNOWS ABOUT THE GAME, THE MORE LIKELY YOU ARE TO GET ALL OF THE SUCCESS THAT YOU DESERVE! :-D
city of glass number 1 city I have ever seen in my life, its so gorgeus no matter what other city u show me from any movie or games, this one is still the best for me.
i'm not gonna watch this... or anything on this game anymore. the original mirror's edge was an amazing experience, i played it through in one session at a friends place when it was released and we borrowed it for ps3. then some time later i bought it for PC and finished it again and after my PC when down the drain and i got myself a PS3..... i bought it again and finished it another time! and its actually the only PS3 game i kept when i switched over to PS4 and got rid of my old ps3 and the games and all. So yeah.... i am so highly anticipating this game!!! after No Mans Sky this is my number 2 most anticipated game of all times, simply because the original was so different in style and gameplay... so an amazing experience!
+IH8YH I got scared you were gonna say something negative about the game at first.. yes, I'm kinda doing the same thing with the new Captain America movie. I'm currently not really that interested in watching any more new 30 second trailers and clips. Batman v Superman already showed too much so there wasn't much to be surprised by in the actual theater.
God the spaces look absolutely gorgeous!! It's so satisfying to look at. If the story ends up being good, then this game will be so awesome! I hope to see more about the open world. I think it's one of the key things that will really separate it from the original
***** Didn't know that, but I was looking for a service to directly download some clean 320kbps mp3 files. I'm kinda picky when it comes to that stuff.
+Joe +Lorvald Technically speaking, even though the music _is_ dynamic, there is still music going on in what is called "Layering". Look for any song from PAYDAY2 and you'll find that (despite the music being dynamic) there are actually videos up which have the songs. Starting with the sneaky stealth, and getting to the intense shootout.
Man the city looks so smooth. Tbh it look's almost like I'm actually there like real talk. The city doesn't just look smooth and clean it looks like a city. Like, the city is almost right in front of you. For example just look at 1:40 it's almost all in view with the colors and everything.
I'm excited to find out more about who Black November were because I found out a little about them from the first game but not a lot was said. I also look forward to uncovering other parts of the story that were only skimmed over in the original game.
I know it's out, and this game is seen and played, BUT This is the best game I've ever played. It's just missing a tiny bit of multiplayer. But still, the best game I've played in years. I needed this.

The first thing I'll do if I ever become a Billionaire is buy DICE from EA or just buy the whole EA and make this game a third time with the whole creative freedom the team deserves.
I'm so glad Glass has a New York and Tokyo vibe to it; these guys are bringing my dreams to reality by making this big clean city for us to explore. Anything I've always wanted to do in ME1 is coming to reality in this one... On my opinion this game will set a new age for gaming industry. I think a lot of games will be inspired by this one in the future.
Shera Wizard lol. DICE has made a great job on this game. The first one was also an "experiment" and everyone liked it. Don't worry EA commercial and market employees won't screw it up.
In all the videos they have produced, I still wonder where the street level gameplay are. I've seen it when she puts the contacts that has runners vision but that's it. No Gameplay of street level. I really hope this game is as great as it looks and sounds! The aesthetics are glorious but i really do hope the combat comes out better than the last game
I have 2 requests for the release of this title: 1. Please make the story longer than the first title. I beat that game in 2 days in less than 8 hrs total. 2. Please do not push back the release date. Sincerely, a fan
I like it so far but at the same time I a little worried....just a little. I'm hoping the game mechanics are intact and feel smooth like they did in the first game.
I'm more worried about the story making the game the more linear. I mean the first game to a certain extent was linear but Catalyst is supposedly going to be open-world. However, I do want a lengthy story mode with this game, the first one was too short. As for feeling natural, I think the game is actually doing well on that part, it seems to be improving on the first one.
+jcdranzer25 I got too play the game at New York comic con earlier this year, I can an say that without a doubt, this game feels even more solid than the first one. In terms of story, I'm not sure what to expect.
Everything looks gorgeous so far, but the thing that really makes me nervous is the severe lack of gameplay being shown despite this game coming out in less than 2 months. This is supposed to be an "open world" game yet absolutely nothing has been shown demonstrating it.
This is probably one of the few games where I've respected the decision to delay the game release. One, there were some other AAA games coming out on the original ME2 release date, so there's that. The other reason: with the wait, comes quality. They really wanna make sure that they can put as much effort as they possibly can into the game, and I really respect that; despite being relatively obscure, the original Mirror's Edge was a phenomenal game for its time.
I enjoy the call-back of the original game with Kruger as a character - the lead up to Pirandello Kruger of the original? Anticipating a fight with the PK's or some variant of them.
Graphics are insane.. I love that some parts of the city will be similar to original... My biggest concern are those life bars and other shit on screen... Bullet dodging? Wtf? Me players will tell if the gameplay is fucked up.... If it is.... Thrn i will cry.. Dont get me wrong. Game looks amazing... Cant stop watching these videos....
Oh BOY. The word "edgy" used to describe your main character within the first two sentences of your promo. That inspires a TON of confidence in the game's writing!
''She has such an EDGY look''
I see what you did there miss Linnea

agreed
+Kait0s! Huh, the Game has an Online-MP, that was confirmed nearly 2 Years ago.
+Shortiloe They didn't said anything about how is this "Online social component" as they call it. I presume it will be a coop mp or online free roam.
I agree
Most anticipated game since 2008.
Agreed. Imma cry once I get my hands on the game

+Azerrz It's so awesome that one of my favourite comedy channels is so hyped about this game. :D

"Old school Mirror's Edge"
*puts on cool glasses*
Oh my god.😂
+MechWomanWarrior15 To be fair, Mirror's Edge is an old game at this point. 8 years is ancient from a video game/technological standpoint. Old school fits pretty well here.
😎
😎 Old school mirrors edge I'm ready.
GNatanel You're absolutely right, sir. Still have a hard time believing it's that old. But... this was the first time I've ever heard one of the games I played as a teenager called "old school." Just felt a little...cool inside XD
Most beautiful open world, hands down
love the feelings, so peaceful and beautiful. love the music too, just feels calm
The city looks breathtakingly beautiful at night. Who agrees with me?
That soundtrack sounds great. Can't wait to hear Solar Fields again.
This looks like a potential 10/10 for me.
Black November :O
Who remember the tag "Where is November ???" in the first game ?
+GameXdoker ME :D
I do, idk why but that shit creeped me out
I want to express my deep gratitude to the designers and developers of this game in general. I think they managed to create one of the most beautiful games ever. Such designs, such sunsets and sunrises, clouds, musical accompaniment. This game is truly alive. Thank you for being you!

Don't let me down Dice, don't pull a Battlefront on us, i need this game to be good!
How much maintenance do they need to make a city look like that?
+Arstellum They have an army of clone Shamwow guys don't worry.
hire all the unemployed to clean your city ;)))
they have a bunch of little drones that clean the windows haha. Theyre kinda like roombas that can stick to walls.
I can't wait to get lost exploring the City of Glass.
I didn't realise skrillex was involved with making the game
Since yet one of my favorite games. I love the soundtrack, too.
Please for the love of God be a good game---- I want this game to be a "classic" in the future
I am so glad you guys are trying your best to make this game just as good as the first!
+pingpong1138 Maybe even better :D
I so can't wait for this game to come out.
It was worth the wait

That's one of the biggest reason why I love Mirror's Edge, the city is CLEAN
So pumped to get into that world. I really enjoyed the first game, and I can't wait to see where you've taken Faith now.
Looks beautiful. I hope they keep their promise about the gameplay. Muy fingers are crossed now.
I've already pre-ordered the controller, mini figures and game.

Holy shit. This looks godlike! Thanks for giving it another shot. The world is so unique and beautiful.

I really hope more people give Faith a chance this time around! This franchise could be soooo goooood! I can't wait.
If you want to know about story of Faith how she got the tattoo on her arm, read comic book of Mirror's Edge: Exordium !
Thanks dude
She doesn't even get her arm tattoo in it...
+Cwl Chan The comic doesn't show the arm tattoo. But the game will later.
Linkfinite Basically the comic showed a story and event before Catalyst.
The comic tells how Faith found back her mother's drawing. Someone has it.
Can't get enough of these videos
God the spaces look absolutely gorgeous!! It's so satisfying to look at. If the story ends up being good, then this game will be so awesome! I hope to see more about the open world. I think it's one of the key things that will really separate it from the original
I'm hoping the soundtrack won't be exclusive to iTunes this time.
***** Didn't know that, but I was looking for a service to directly download some clean 320kbps mp3 files. I'm kinda picky when it comes to that stuff.
Joe I guess you're right, but I'm hoping they at least do something.
+Joe +Lorvald Technically speaking, even though the music _is_ dynamic, there is still music going on in what is called "Layering".
Other games (Such as Nitronic Rush, PAYDAY2, Portal 2, etc.) have used the system of Audio Layering to make multiple layers to the song, then fade those layers in and out depending on what is going on.
For example: In Nitronic Rush, go under a tunnel and the music changes to sound different.
Come back out and the music goes back to what it normally sounds like.
Turn on your boost and the music changes.
Turn off boost and the music goes back.
This is done by having the different parts of the song separated onto layers which fade in when the game detects that something happened. And fade out when something else happens.

Look for any song from PAYDAY2 and you'll find that (despite the music being dynamic) there are actually videos up which have the songs. Starting with the sneaky stealth, and getting to the intense shootout.
The music is so fucking spot on, that I'm actually surprised.
Right!? They really kept up the standards from the first game's ost.
Man the city looks so smooth. Tbh it look's almost like I'm actually there like real talk. The city doesn't just look smooth and clean it looks like a city. Like, the city is almost right in front of you. For example just look at 1:40 it's almost all in view with the colors and everything.
This game looks absolutely gorgeous. I am more than READY to start playing this game!
I'm excited to find out more about who Black November were because I found out a little about them from the first game but not a lot was said. I also look forward to uncovering other parts of the story that were only skimmed over in the original game.
Tbh I like it when hardly anything was said about black November, it gave them more of a scary anonymous vibe
First Quantum Break, now this? My money is gonna fade.
I know it's out, and this game is seen and played,
BUT
This is the best game I've ever played. It's just missing a tiny bit of multiplayer. But still, the best game I've played in years. I needed this.
Thank you, DICE, for making this game!
GOTY 2016 candidate. Calling it.
Soundtrack/Background Music is so soothing . When a good music is related with a good game, it makes an unbeatable combination . Its a HIT. Congrats DICE. :D
Yeah, "+" beautiful graphics too. ;-)
Getting more and more hyped for this game everyday.
I'm DEFINITELY going to buy this game! Every post gets me more pumped for the release.

may is around the corner!! I can't wait for this & Crackdown 3
I am so buying the fuck out of this game, idgaf if it is this those graphics and clean art style is worth the moneu
I really hope this game is as great as it looks and sounds! The aesthetics are glorious but i really do hope the combat comes out better than the last game
I have 2 requests for the release of this title:
1. Please make the story longer than the first title. I beat that game in 2 days in less than 8 hrs total.
2. Please do not push back the release date.
Sincerely,
a fan
Release date was already pushed back once. They probably don't do it shaken, since they already pushed it back by 2 months the first time
I really hope this is the portal 2 of the series.
0:58 music is so amazing
This game looks amazing. Can't wait for more info on the characters and the story.
I like it so far but at the same time I a little worried....just a little. I'm hoping the game mechanics are intact and feel smooth like they did in the first game.
+jcdranzer25 already not a big fan of the rolling animation :/
Ach Hadda People said it was disorienting. I'm fine with any movement but focus groups are focus groups :v

Where is the hype train? All on board!
I am so fucking hyped.
That freaking CITY look Amazing!
I was so focused on the music that I didn't hear a word that was said. I have to rewatch the video now xD
Does anyone else get teary eyed when I'm the full trailer Faith says "you're wrong, I'm not broken"
Truly the most beautiful game to have ever been created. I can't wait to get my hands on this game!
I already know this will be my all time favorite game.
The cities look breathtaking!!
Everything looks gorgeous so far, but the thing that really makes me nervous is the severe lack of gameplay being shown despite this game coming out in less than 2 months. This is supposed to be an "open world" game yet absolutely nothing has been shown demonstrating it.
Ummm... Gameplay trailer
+Smodoopa I just said the EXACT same thing :p Let's hope they'll deliver.

Delaying doesn't necessarily mean they are putting a lot of effort into the game... Could be the opposite of that
TheJuanAndOnly well, true, but i think the competition reason still holds *some* water
I enjoy the call-back of the original game with Kruger as a character - the lead up to Pirandello Kruger of the original? Anticipating a fight with the PK's or some variant of them.
