Almost 8 years on and I still wish there could be another Mirror's Edge. It might not have been #1 in all the charts, but nothing scratches that itch like Mirror's Edge could and this song (along with Still Alive from the original) kind of epitomise why in my head; the ME games almost felt to me like they were about just surviving a 'perfect' world after you see through the cracks. You're not a hero, not a soldier; you're half-broken and caught in the middle of bigger stories than your own.
Vitko Music has a secret for you. When we were bored we wrote a script for mirros edge 3. this script would continue on original mirrors edge 1 and 2 values.

Nope, leave a Trace. I always ignored Chvrches because I had heard of them and tried to be a pretentious hipster, but I'm slowly moving them up my list of favorite bands since this came out.
I think this song gives a message to sort of not give up the line "look down at the cold ground and try to break our fall" is saying that you should never give up. So energetic what a great singer. Love it❤️❤️
I love the lyrics to this song. It's one of the best bittersweet breakup songs ever. It manages to capture feeling regret while not leaving the ex blameless, a desire to still be "near" if only in memory, wanting to still be friends, and sending off the ex with support and encouragement while breaking up with them. There are so few mature breakup songs out there so it's nice to find another.
close to 5 years from its last release and I'm still proud I grew up playing Mirror's Edge. Hope someday we'll have a new ME. A part of my heart is reserved to Faith Connors :')
The only bad thing about Chvrches is... THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MUSIC OUT THERE! Soooooo good! I discovered your band just a few weeks ago on Spotify and can't stop listening! Awesome you got the deal to do the credits music for the new Mirror's Edge game!
This is my favorite game of all times. This music brings back so many memories. My heart is wrenched to know that these games will never know a revival. But thanks to you, the mirror's edge universe extends a bit more :)
This song makes me remember the days when I was playing Catalyst without a care in the world. I really need to go back to it, actually finish it, it was such a fun game.
This game is fucking amazing, I highly advice you play it, I also recommend the PC Version, Console version looks like shit compared to PC, but you'll need a pretty powerful PC to play on Hyper settings (16GB RAM, GTX 970, i7 3rd gen)
is it an archetype kind of song that covers the entire adventure - hardship - growth - perseverance spectrum of storys? the lyrics disclose nothing, but give room for endless storys unique to the listeners mind? its something like that for me :)
As an OG Mirror´s Edge fan, the last one(Catalyst) got me out from depression and helped me to overcome everyday nightmare this reality can be. So yes, personally, videogames can be a good health care issue too.
I don't know how to describe what I feel for this franchise. The atmosphere is unique. It's so beautiful, yet so sad. The music is chilling, yet relaxing. If I had to name games that are some sort of art, Mirror's Edge Catalyst would defenetly be among them.
@@ryanshafer7030 He's lying lol. It's just a random spam account that's paid pennies to promote channels, and it may be largely computer run. (It's quite obviously not affiliated with this channel or Chvrches)

This is so catchy. When i first hit the radio on mirror's edge: catalyst this was the first tune that came out and i searched it out immediately. T'was quite awesome.
ZionZero LOL I know. I saw it coming, No kagune reveal for him he's pretty much fucked. Knew it from the very beginning. Didn't expect he'd slit his own throat though and the reveal of V controls everything was expected too. I knew CCG was too shady to have good causes. And we know almost nothing of the one who controls CCG and now we know its the washus/v. But then again, we dont know who're the washus anyway lol.
***** Hilarious how we expected answers from Arima's explanation only to reveal more questions. I'm also wondering how Rize's kagune is so strong that it could even take out Eto so easily. It must have something to do with her being in the Garden in the first place.
ZionZero I think the garden is where everything started. Ghouls, Half ghouls, Half humans and all thiese crazy things, just a theory though. And also rize is the only person thats interesting me right now. I really want to see more of her at this point, well to be honest when kanou showed her to kaneki when they met I wanted to know more and see her more.. Well we all know she's safe right now but TBH i want more Rize lol.
Ok wow... played the original Mirror's Edge and just got Catalyst... and was putzing around and found a jukebox in game and this song played and I was like "Wow is that Chvrches?!" and sure enough! Didn't know this sing existed, great tune. I know Chvrches from the Robert Smith collab.
Das wäre mal eine Ankündigung die mich Glücklich machen würde....neues Mirrors Edge nochmal kombiniert mit diesem klasse Künstler...hach was ein Traum.
Too short!? Really !? Did You played the first Mirror's Edge ? That was a short Game... Catalyst with the Side-Missions, Free Mode and all around it was nearly double Play-Time as the first Part. I can't understand why so much Gamers are not happy with the Reboot of Mirror's Edge. EA did a great Job this Time... after all the Mistakes (Battlefield 4) and more they came out with a great Game... and sure I hope they make a great Sequel after they start again with Catalyst. Maybe the Story was not the best Part of the Game but it was nearly the same Story from ME. EA is not the best Address for heartbreaking Storys but this Game don't need this... is a Game about a simple Story, Good against Bad and fast Action Parts. For me personally... Mirror's Edge Catalyst is the better Part of the two, because the Movement and the Combat System was much better as the first Game. Sure Faith can't use any Weapons but this is the Challenge of Catalyst. When you use your Environment efficient you nearly unbeatable. I also enjoy the real Video Sequences. I hate this Comic-Sequences in the First Part but thats personally Taste. ... and I think we don't need to talk about the great Soundtrack... Solar Fields did make a magnificient Job again. I love His Music Style and He is the best Composer for ME. I hope when a Sequel is coming out, Solar Fields did it a third Time. And when you through the whole Game and finish it all, why you don't erase and Start again? That's what I do when i can't get enough. I Erase and start a new Experience and have nearly the same Fun as last Time... maybe i'm crazy or stupid but that's the Way I am :)
Too long didn't read - i never said it was a bad game. In fact i loved it. But excluding the side missions the main story only takes 2 hours to complete. And thats if you drag it out like i did. In total i'd say it took roughly 8-10 hours of total play to complete (including sidemissions).
The main game is quite short, but I rinsed everything out and it took a while - 100% on everything, top rank for the TT (which are wayyy easier in this one). Took longer than 10 hours, more like 30 for me. We need some pure trials.
I absolutely loved both Mirror's Edge games. And I specially loved the story of the newest one but there's one huge problem which is why most people hate it. Most of the important things about the story like Faith's flashbacks and her childhood are either pretty hidden and unexpected or they weren't added to the main timeline/cutscenes of the game. For example, how that KSEC guard that Faith shoots when she's little is actually a friend of Faith who was a peaceful guard that actually tried to help her when she was running. Not only that, but that guard was Kruger's son, which is why Gabriel might have taken Caitlyn as her new adopted daughter, as revenge for Faith taking Kruger Junior's life from his dad. All this awesome information would've been amazing to know or at least play as younger Faith during the game, since it is very good plot forwarding stuff to get us engaged with the characters and at least get to know Noah and Icarus more, but lots of information like this one has been hidden around the cities and in biographies inside the game which obviously most people won't look at. We don't know if all this was actually planned to be in the game and EA or DICE cut it off from lack of budget/time, or it was just really bad directing that they thought everyone would understand the story when you finished it, which clearly didn't happen.
In my opinion, this music from Mirrors Edge is much better than that from Death Stranding, it brings more emotion and makes you travel through the game's environment with unparalleled immersion.

+Hemang Chauhan clearest blue is their best song
+javier martinez no man, Zvvl is their best song
Nope, leave a Trace.
I always ignored Chvrches because I had heard of them and tried to be a pretentious hipster, but I'm slowly moving them up my list of favorite bands since this came out.
Leave a Trace is trash, their best song is Empty Threat
I think this song gives a message to sort of not give up the line "look down at the cold ground and try to break our fall" is saying that you should never give up. So energetic what a great singer. Love it❤️❤️
I love the lyrics to this song. It's one of the best bittersweet breakup songs ever. It manages to capture feeling regret while not leaving the ex blameless, a desire to still be "near" if only in memory, wanting to still be friends, and sending off the ex with support and encouragement while breaking up with them.
There are so few mature breakup songs out there so it's nice to find another.
The two most beautiful things in the world combined, I'm so happy (:
Listening to this about ten minutes after finishing my second playthrough of catalyst, and its just as good as I remember.
close to 5 years from its last release and I'm still proud I grew up playing Mirror's Edge.
We’ll have you ever finished it?
This game and the song are beautiful.
Never played the game but for me it's Chvrches best song so far.
Agreed...... one of their very best
This game is fucking amazing, I highly advice you play it, I also recommend the PC Version, Console version looks like shit compared to PC, but you'll need a pretty powerful PC to play on Hyper settings (16GB RAM, GTX 970, i7 3rd gen)
This band is at a whole new level. Love it
is it an archetype kind of song that covers the entire adventure - hardship - growth - perseverance spectrum of storys? the lyrics disclose nothing, but give room for endless storys unique to the listeners mind? its something like that for me :)
you feeling it deep
Hearing this on the jukebox for the first time on the game made me want to run faster then ever in the game and in life…
This sort of song makes ending credits truly majestic :D
Can't wait.
Perfect song to this game.
I love her voice
Love forever jade burt
My ad agency developed this video. I really hope y'all enjoyed it. Cause we put a lot into it lol. Chvrches killed it.
We sure as heck do! Congratulations for this masterpiece
I always thought Dice made it because of how much care it looks went into it
I love it!
What Ad agency?
@@ryanshafer7030 He's lying lol. It's just a random spam account that's paid pennies to promote channels, and it may be largely computer run. (It's quite obviously not affiliated with this channel or Chvrches)
I was hoping for a music video of Lavren and Co. parkouring in a city, but this will suffice.
too good to be truth
+Magnus McCloud Has more happening than in the "Still Alive" music video, sadly.
+Jacknife hey jacknife i thougt you were dead ? :D:D:D:D
+OxyGan I'm still alive lmao
+Jacknife hahahahhahah lmao
Man, we have come such a long way. I really miss those days, the day which I coudn't afford to play these kind of video games cuz I was just a kid with no pc just a common notebook to play minecraft and watching films but I feel grateful for that part of me because of that I would be able to observe and witnessing the best Gaming Era of All Time!
Will be gaming forever,
Anis OMG
When planets align magic happens. I've only just discovered Chvrches and they are the best thing to come out of Scotland. Amazing.
Scotch, is the best thing out of Scotland. Chvrches is top tier.
Scotch is their national export, and for good reason.
This is so catchy. When i first hit the radio on mirror's edge: catalyst this was the first tune that came out and i searched it out immediately. T'was quite awesome.
hahahaha same here !!!
Arima dying was the best part.
This game is a masterpiece
When I listen to Chvrches, I fear my heart will fail from the inability to contain all the emotion this music invokes.
Ok wow... played the original Mirror's Edge and just got Catalyst... and was putzing around and found a jukebox in game and this song played and I was like "Wow is that Chvrches?!" and sure enough! Didn't know this sing existed, great tune. I know Chvrches from the Robert Smith collab.
This song is amazing. I can't believe how many of their songs I've never heard.
a very beautiful song. I've come to expect no less from the exelent Chvrches.
Das wäre mal eine Ankündigung die mich Glücklich machen würde....neues Mirrors Edge nochmal kombiniert mit diesem klasse Künstler...hach was ein Traum.
Makes me sad the game was so short. I really hope they make a sequel. MEC was a good starting game for a new franchise...
Too short!?
MEC isn't the new game. ME is the first game it's not a new IP just rebooted
nostalgic, sad and beautiful
Most beautiful. Faith too. Oh Jesus
Chvrches are super underrated, I wish more people can know this awesome band.
i was crying
this is art
thank you
Life is strange music is good too. Just a compleltly diffrent fibe.
this video takes me to an alternate universe where it is only a memory of nasty things people do here and now. so beautiful
In my opinion, this music from Mirrors Edge is much better than that from Death Stranding, it brings more emotion and makes you travel through the game's environment with unparalleled immersion.
they DID this, as per usual 💐💐💐
Serious fire we got going on here.
"I feel it moving in another direction we call our own"
This is their best song tbh. This part always gets me 2:40-3:20
Gun, We Sink, Clearest Blue, and Asking for a Friend are up there
@@samuraigorilla2311 Agreed. Lullabies and Final Girl are also in their top songs, feel like they don’t get enough recognition
