Almost 8 years on and I still wish there could be another Mirror's Edge. It might not have been #1 in all the charts, but nothing scratches that itch like Mirror's Edge could and this song (along with Still Alive from the original) kind of epitomise why in my head; the ME games almost felt to me like they were about just surviving a 'perfect' world after you see through the cracks. You're not a hero, not a soldier; you're half-broken and caught in the middle of bigger stories than your own.
Agree. Made worse by the fact EA shut down online servers last year. 😢. I have the platinum and some records to remember.
I also really want another Mirror's Edge. It's so good 😭❤️
There's a spiritual successor called Eternal Blue being developed by a solo dev. Ya'll should check it out!

Vitko Music has a secret for you. When we were bored we wrote a script for mirros edge 3. this script would continue on original mirrors edge 1 and 2 values.

First one was pretty good. The only thing good about the second one was this song.
@@edenarchive4150 while the second one was maybe lackluster, the music, atmosphere and 'feel' were a very big improvement over the first one. speaking for myself, i enjoyed my time most when i was simply running around the city looking, which brings me to another point. the visuals for catalyst are amazing, even now. the only major downfall was the somehow even worse story than the first game, and the fact that lots of the city felt the same.
"solarpunk" basically a lot of hope than cyberpunk. It's not cyberpunk

Mirror's Edge ironically is a stand against dark and dreary FPS games... and the most depressing thing is that we'll probably never get another one.

Not only am I in absolute sadness, listening to this song is not only nostalgic but also completely heart wrenching, since in my heart I have hope that Mirror’s Edge isn’t dead, but my mind knows that Mirror’s Edge is. But I will continue to run through the city of Glass even if it’s deserted.

The song played in my car today, got hit with massive nostalgia. EA, why cant we have one more mirror's edge game, it doesn't have to be super detailed and advance, but the vibe that the ones before gave.
It’s because ea’s dice is not the same as it was when they published catalyst or even the original. They will most likely mess it up.
The same reason they won't give us another Alice game. They don't care.

Disagree. They're much better writing their own music, though the interpretation and composition they went with is excellent. It's hard to choose between Bones and Every Open Eye as far as the better album, though. They're both fantastic.
They're on the verge of becoming the Red Hot Chili Peppers of synthpop (my love for "Clearest Blue" notwithstanding), but I have faith in them yet to take a weird, fun turn on album #3.

Death Stranding is a better song, has way more emotion behind it. I think Warning Call has a very Mother we Share vibe to it, but Death Stranding is like taking all the best things from Every Open Eye into it, with some of the more somber tones of Love is Dead.

such a chill game, the feeling to be in this environment is unexplainable, the atmosphere , the music, the gameplay, the city, the graphics, untouchable, so much protentional missed out from not making an open world multiplayer parkour type game, unfortunately not in the market oh well

I think I'm in heaven, tbh. Mirror's Edge has been my favorite game since I was twelve and you guys have been only the second band I've ever loved enough to call a 'favorite' and the combination of two of my favorite things is amazing. I love this so much.

As an OG Mirror´s Edge fan, the last one(Catalyst) got me out from depression and helped me to overcome everyday nightmare this reality can be. So yes, personally, videogames can be a good health care issue too.

Listening to this about ten minutes after finishing my second playthrough of catalyst, and its just as good as I remember.
is it an archetype kind of song that covers the entire adventure - hardship - growth - perseverance spectrum of storys? the lyrics disclose nothing, but give room for endless storys unique to the listeners mind? its something like that for me :)

Ok wow... played the original Mirror's Edge and just got Catalyst... and was putzing around and found a jukebox in game and this song played and I was like "Wow is that Chvrches?!" and sure enough! Didn't know this sing existed, great tune. I know Chvrches from the Robert Smith collab.
Mirrors Edge had Lisa Miskovsky's Still Alive. Mirrors Edge 2 has Chvrches. Dice do know how to pick fitting music.

This song hits the feels. Reminds me of my first semester of college, and becoming an adult.
This song has such powerful memories for me. The first song of theirs I heard was Mother We Share and my friend played it in the car on a chill road trip down the eastern coast. It instantly became one of my favorite songs, but I didn’t look into the band. Then cut to months later when I played Mirrors Edge and this came on the jukebox. I was like, wait I know that voice! Had to look them up and have been a fan since then. ME is also one of my absolute favorite games. 🥲
Love this franchise, not just for the gameplay, but also the story, the atmosphere, and of course, the music!

So cool seeing a band you listen to when it was pretty small grow into going into another big game title even playing at big shows.
Saw them last October on the EOE US tour, in KC at the Uptown Theatre. Killer show. Wasn't too packed, but MAN up front, we were like sardines! Lauren had on this really cute outfit; a butterfly necklace, black top, short black leather skirt, and block leggings. She didn't have the teardrops under her eyes, she did glitter for that show. Probably because they were in a large enough stage to do lighting effects. The guys just had jeans and t-shirts on, as usual (Iain and his cap though!). :) Iain even got to do three of his songs! So stoked. It was an awesome set, they easily got three a good portion of both albums and a couple EPs.Can't wait for their next tour, they're supposed to have new material out soon as they are working on some stuff now as they wrap up the rest of the EOE Euro run.
Sadly I didnt get to go to the show last year since I had work and thought it was another month away. I did get to see them back in 2013 and I believe 2012 but I dont know I still have the ticket for 2013 but they did a great job at the show.
Really one of the only bands that sounds pretty much on digital.

The thing that attracted me to Chvrches is that somewhere, somehow, they have that certain atmosphere/mood of the early 80's electropop bands
(OMD, Ultravox, Human league, Depeche Mode) with a modern twist.
What IMO it's certainly missing is that 90's Eurodance character
Man, we have come such a long way. I really miss those days, the day which I coudn't afford to play these kind of video games cuz I was just a kid with no pc just a common notebook to play minecraft and watching films but I feel grateful for that part of me because of that I would be able to observe and witnessing the best Gaming Era of All Time!

In my opinion, this music from Mirrors Edge is much better than that from Death Stranding, it brings more emotion and makes you travel through the game's environment with unparalleled immersion.
This voice is so awesome ... could listen to her forever ... Makes me happy and sad at the same time ... And makes me missing the old party night club times but also lets me be thankful for what I have right now ... All that feelings because of music ... Wonderful artists 😍🕺🏻
Lauren Mayberry has the most beautiful gorgeous female singing voice I have ever listened to! I have listened to many singers both male and female including all the greats, she is the pinnacle of female singers! Listening to her is inspirational and gives me goosebumps.This is a great Chvrches song and a wonderful production!

I always ignored Chvrches because I had heard of them and tried to be a pretentious hipster, but I'm slowly moving them up my list of favorite bands since this came out.

Mirror's Edge is really special to me. I played it some months ago and I regret nothing. It's just so amazing, running trough the city, fighting KSec and coming back to the hideout at the end of the day. It gives me a feeling of freedom and I hope there will be another game of this amazing Story.

Going to be bluntly honest... the aesthetic of Mirror's Edge's environments is probably the absolute sexiest that a game has ever been. And the lighting only enhances it all. There's nothing like running the rooftops during the sunrise.
2016 was the peak year of DICE: Mirror's Edge Catalyst and Battlefield 1.
This song makes me remember the days when I was playing Catalyst without a care in the world. I really need to go back to it, actually finish it, it was such a fun game.

I didn't get too into Mirror's Edge back in the day, however my boyfriend had it for xbox. The only thing I remember was the main character falling off buildings or obstacles and hearing the wind rushing past her ears and the screen getting blurry and shaky. I always thought that was a neat detail.
I don't know how to describe what I feel for this franchise. The atmosphere is unique. It's so beautiful, yet so sad. The music is chilling, yet relaxing. If I had to name games that are some sort of art, Mirror's Edge Catalyst would defenetly be among them.
The only bad thing about Chvrches is... THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MUSIC OUT THERE! Soooooo good! I discovered your band just a few weeks ago on Spotify and can't stop listening! Awesome you got the deal to do the credits music for the new Mirror's Edge game!
I don't care what reviewers say, Catalyst is one of the greatest games of all time! For me it only makes a nearly perfect series even better.

One of their 5 best songs. To my knowledge, never played live. This song would have been the best song on Love Is Dead had they placed it there.
The vocal from 3:21 on is Mayberry in total command. The song begs to be an encore in my opinion.

I don't know why, but unlike most people I liked this game very much, its music, atmosphere and gameplay were just as good.

This game is fucking amazing, I highly advice you play it, I also recommend the PC Version, Console version looks like shit compared to PC, but you'll need a pretty powerful PC to play on Hyper settings (16GB RAM, GTX 970, i7 3rd gen)
