    Probably too late in the design process, I have a minor comment on how the reverse lockout works: I have a Raceseng lockout, one thing they did that I'd recommend you copy is using a screw instead of a roll pin to for the reverse lockout cable. Makes install, uninstall, and reinstall much simpler.

    Would I be able to use both throw settings on my 06 legacy gt?

    Nicely engineered product.
    How does this bolt up in an 07-09 Legacy GT Spec B TY856 6MT? Short throw position capable? Flange modification required? Any additional notes for the reverse lockout cable?
    Question:. Why can't the bottom membrane stay in place for weather and corrosion protection?

      We are actually in progress of confirming fitment for the Legacy Spec B. The ultimate goal is to have the DM-1 work in all manual Subaru's. We will push out updates on Instagram as we confirm new vehicles to our fitment list and what is required to run the DM-1 in that respective vehicle.
      The OEM reverse cable works seamlessly with the DM-1 in the same exact manner that it does on the OEM shifter.
      The bottom rubber membrane boot does not have the same opening shape to mate up with the DM-1as it does on the OEM shifter. We are also working on creating a new boot that will work with the DM-1 and serve the same purpose as the OEM boot.

    So clarify the 04-07 issue with me. If I take that plate out of the car completely, I can use the shortest throw position? Or I can only use that other position whether I have the plate in the car or not?

      Hello,
      Notching the plate or taking it out of the car will allow you to use the shifter in its "longer" throw setting and is required for either of the two settings. This setting is comparably to current short throw kits form other companies. Although not officially recommended, further modification to the vehicle can be done to use the shifter in its shortest setting, and is what some customers are doing.

      Also how does mounting work with a 6 speed swapped gc chassis? Just different brackets or not compatible?

      The DM-1 is compatible only with the provided reverse lock out. As for mounting it to a GC, we provide all hardware and components for you to install the DM-1 and mount it to your vehicle. You would just need to purchase an 08+ STI shift arm (which we stock) if you don’t already have that from your swap.

    Is there no way to run the short shifter on the 05 sti whatsoever??

      The DM-1 shifter will work with an 05 STI!

      @@rxsevenforme Correct, the top throw setting can not be used. The shifter still drastically shortens the throw even on the lower setting.
