You need to make a disclaimer that the end-user still needs to have solid engine and trans mounts. And I'm not talking about group N mounts. You can still miss shifts if you don't.
Thank you for watching the video! We will work on being more clear in the future videos. The solid mounts are not required because the shifter is still able freely pitch or roll relative to the transmission movements. If you would like a more technical explanation I am happy to provide it!
Will installing this into the WRX void any portion of the OEM warranty besides any issues with this shifter mechanism itself? I saw a vid from a reputable subi performance channel that stated in a vid that installing the after market short-throw shifter doesn't void any part of the warranty because it does NOT mess with the cables/linkages. Is that accurate?
No, it shouldn't. But if your warranty is offered by a third party and not Subaru, they will have their own terms. Edit: the only way it might be an issue, is if the broken part is directly related to the shifter assembly. If one was so inclined, transmission issues could be denied I guess. But most technicians wouldn't even report it, in my opinion, as long as the install was done perfectly.
Such an amazing design, so happy with mine!
i want one of these so bad, cant wait for the site to go up.
In a few days the website will be live for pre-orders!
They are available now for pre-order on the website :)
