am i having a schizophrenic episode or did you just chop out half of these games
But
Can they change a tire
10:22 can we just take a moment to appreciate this split screen that is pretty damn cool, that or I'm just easily impressed.
Literally went into the comments to show appreciation for this lmaoo
Yeah, better than picture in picture.
def appreciate the attention of the obs!
noriced that as well. The half red half blue split of building is genius
An important thing to remember is: Head Space. Starcraft is a stressful game and even pro players will slip into the wrong mindset. We the viewers have ALL the information and none of the stress. What happened was Serral was defeated in his own mind and did not want/think to play it out.
These players have thousands of games practiced and sometimes overwhelm themselves when they think they can not win.
respect to serral for getting up to give ragnarok a handshake after a heartbreaking loss, always nice to see good sportsmanship
Serral has really upped his respect game in recent times I think, been throwing out the “gg wp gl” when he loses too which is not something I’ve seen much of
At 19:39 I felt bad. Seemed like a difficult loss for him
These 3 evo chambers were such a genius move! Incredible to watch!
Spawning pool placement was just for the rushes
Not trying to take away from serral but that is a practiced defense for that. He didn't just like make it up on the fly.
300 IQ ZERG RUSH DEFENSE = 14:13
🥰
Thanks for saving me a lot of time. I was just curious if that video title is a clickbait or not and whadya know it is...

I like how even a decade after I stopped playing, the casters are still nostalgic for me to listen to. Nathanias is goated (besides Tastosis, may they rest in peace)
and Incontrol RIP
@@christianwong9491 InControl might not have been the best caster/player, but he always had some good insight into the SC2 community
May they rest in piece! Are tastosis out of the casting game now?
Weren't Tastosis casting at IEM?
@@JMV12341 Artosis left Korea so they're not doing GSL together anymore but they both still cast.
Serral shaked his head and briefly looked at the ceiling😅
Wow, Serral is really fair play. The “wp gl” at the end + the handshake.
Followed by 300 IQ gg timing.
Balancing out his IQ

@@tredogzs idra rage quited - this is a big difference
@@suchoss4770 It's not? How do you even know that idra "rage" quited? He just left a won game (twice) as did Serral here.
@@suchoss4770 he didn’t rage quit
man.... serral is incredible.. wished for him to win the tournament.. im a little bit sad
but god... he s awesome, havent seen a response like that (evo chambers + drone surround) anywhere else
He already won IEM last year..which took him four years to do..I think he has nothing to prove at this point but there are still more he can give for the community at the age of 24
@5:41 those are some extremely fast injects.
that's actually insane. I thought he was just looking at his bases for some reason
When Serral watches the replay, he's going to shit himself!!
Yo these split screen edits are fking sick
Maru and Reynor plays it till the very end and sometimes can comeback after being down. There’s no doubt that the goat can’t comeback in games.. Serral often gg too early not just in this matchup.
This just popped up in my recommended even though it’s probably been 5+ years since I’ve watched any competitive SC2. I can’t hear the name Serral without thinking of Tastosis. As soon as I read Serral’s name in the title I heard them in my head announcing his name.
I feel like he could have won
Surrender too quick is a Serral's favorite move lol
Serral actually mentioned in his Discord that there was still a chance of him winning. He gave himself a 10% chance seeing everything
@@SC2HL Looked like much bigger than 10% haha
@@Deathstar_TV to you. but you are not Serral
@@aarondrivesabus You don't need to be Serral to see he was doing WAY better than he thought he was. He's ahead on supply after saying gg wp gl and has 9 roaches coming. He got tilted losing that miny fight and thought it was over sighed and tapped out. He 100% left too early
@@lllllllPhoenixlllllll Up on workers, he was down 12(?) army supply with the roaches coming in 3's from 3 dif angles, Serral himself reviewed it, said he gave himself a 10% chance of winning after the fact. This is Serral. You are not Serral b
I love the early game golf clapping. Really makes the point that SC2 is a game for *sophisticated* individuals.
Serral remembered he was suppose to throw game 5
I usually dont enjoy ZVZ but this was great.
The commentators keeping right up with these guys explaining what's happening!
I will never forget that 3 evo chamber wall omg
Weird to tap out in last one. I think he could have won it
I love the fact that game occupies nearly 70% of the screen to make way for the not at all distracting rotating ads, the player shots and the water mark. Maybe put an ad in the middle or somwthing to really top it off.
14:14 300 IQ play match :)
At 9:00 how did ragnarok fire those biles together?
Rapid fire hotkeu
@@jamesn.5721 that's what I thought. Thanks
love how rag went for the cheese -- great stuff
Ok that baneling best timing comparison shot was sick
feel's like serral's on his way out 2 years ago serral would never have lost this series. Feels like this was a 3 -1 only reason it was 3-2 was rag funny build for game 4
Tons of players in SC2 have down seasons before they come back stronger than ever. It doesn't only happen in eSports, too. Athletics sports have plenty of comeback stories.
Louis CK once said that you can't stay at the peak for too long because the air is thin up there. It's fine to come down the mountain every once in a while.
If Serral maintains his positive attitude, he'll be back at the top of his game, better than he ever was. Saying he's on his way out is a very negative approach to watching some of the best players in the world compete in SC2.
Also, like would you have wanted him to just remain this dominant champion for years and years? It's no fun watching Goliath stomp David into the ground repeatedly. It's better for the other players to learn Serral's playstyle and actually compete properly rather than letting him steamroll everyone.
It's better this way. More entertaining, at least.
This camera-person is just straight poppin' off!
Lmaoooo Serall pulled an IdrA vs Puk scenario just left when he was ahead LOL
Yay new video
Serral gentleman 👍✊🇰🇿
this awsome to epic they both are really get ppl suprise
I wanted Rags to win but that was a bit of an early gg by Serral. He was probably gonna lose anyways but think he could've maybe won it.
I dont care who wins, im happy to see a zerg player lose
why serral build 3 chamber for zergring rush???
so ragnarok would place spine crawler in a unfavourable position where its esier to surround.
if serral had not done that, those 3 spines would be more last longer with the ledge protecting its right side
@@kevinanolin6011 not to mention, they wouldn't have needed to spend the extra few seconds walking around, which gives even more time for the zerglings to spawn and attack the building spines
those 3 chambers (along Serrals Spawning pool position) counter spines, not zergling. He's forcing ragna to position his spines in there, where they are ouf of the battle and mostly useless. Those spines dont reach lower ground (or the ramp), they don't reach workers mining, they dont reach spawning pool, they dont reach eggs. They only reach the hatchery and even if they got it its still 1 base vs 1 base and Serral has 1 more million workers and minerals. If Ragna wanted to build the spines in the "correct" spot he needs to go around and lose the time, only to be blocked by Serrals workers anyway. By building those 3 chambers, Serral got to himself literally 100 diferent ways to win, as he prefers. Brilliant.
Like @Blah said ditching the main is now an option if the game prolonged
awesome👍👍 thanks to detail answer 🥹
5:30 an attack doesn’t work twice on a Saint
Wtf was that wizardry at 10:27
никогда не думал, что ZvZ может быть таким увлекательным.
это самый интересный матчап, который когда-либо существовал, по многим причинам
i m not a starcraft player. wanna ask why it was premature for Serral to resign the last game. it seemed Serral ran out of army. am i right?
Units were about to pop out, and sure, he was still in a shaky situation, but it was far from game losing.
Especially when the game is on match point, it is best to stick it out a bit longer since tournament life was on the line.
His economy was also a lot better than ragnorok. He had a decent chance to stay in the game.
Yes, but Serral had a way stronger economy (Serral had 59 workers, Ragnarok had 37). Zerg in Starcraft 2 have the big advantage to be able to very quickly build army if you have the needed ressources. Pair that with the fact that Ragnaroks reinforcements have to walk across the whole map to get to Serral while his are basically already there, and it's not clear that Serral would have lost here.
Serral probably thought Ragnaroks economy was much better and therefore resigned.
Why did he ff the last match like that wtf??
Not an early gg imo. They had just played that same match twice before and Serral lost both. Ragnarok just had better roach control all day and Serral knew it. Ragnarok had position between his bases cutting off the reinforcements and 50% more army supply 50-34. It was GG
you dont early gg in the iem katowice dude, doesnt matter if youre half supply
Definitely early gg. In both the other matches you're talking about Ragnarok had similar drone count and mutas either out or on the way. He didn't even have a lair here.
It was 50-34 _after_ Serral already GG'd in his mind. He misread the number of roaches the other guy had. If he knew how small the actual army lead was in-fight, he would have used his 20+ drone advantage to win the earlier fight. For _most_ of the fight, the army supply was actually even, and also remember, the 50 army supply counts _reinforcing_ lings from across the map, which would likely not have arrived in time had Serral known how dire Ragnarok's position actually was. Misreads happen, this was one of them.
@@madumlao this, specialy the gg in the mind part
Whoa florencio strats
lol how did that work
That early gg.
king of defense
I was thinking intentional throw before the last game..... Just saying. It's probably just a bad day for Seral, but its always wise to question matches like this. Uncharacteristic form for Serral.
Ragnarok is a monster
Serral is my favorite player, but he does surrender too early
BRO Seral only plays the same ZERG STRAT every game every time same Strat and build
Is it just me or does serral have facial hair?
It is funny that the only time serral seems to struggle is against players with the same units as him
👀💀
If you knew anything about the background info going into this, serral was unable to train with any high level zerg going into the tournament. Lambo, Elazer, Reynor, Dark, Ragnarok, everyone top tier was either participating at the tournament or unavailable, so his ZVZ was by far his worst. Not to mention its always been his worst matchup.
@@crazzynez that last part.. hmmm
serral is to old to be the best now it seems
whaaaaaaaaat
strongest eu zerg x weakest gsl zerg
Weakest GSL Zerg? He got 2nd in the last season of GSL Code S, plus ro4 in Katowice this year
yeah, that man isn't up to current events, Ragnarok is unstoppable right now
live player POV is terrible. maybe useful for replays.
Lol Serral's Iq 300^(-1)
This is one of the things that really pisses me off about pro players. Fight to the bitter end. Like he left soooo early with a nearly DOUBLE worker count difference. Just play the damn game.
Boy oh boy, ZvZ is boring to watch, especially with Serral
wrg
hi
First person and Feardragon, I didn't think a cast could get this bad. Why on earth are we going back to these poor decisions??
people saying he surrendered too early? im pretty sure serral knows when its over, lol
Serral actually mentioned in his Discord that there was still a chance of him winning. Not an amazing chance, but definitely a chance
@@SC2HL theres always a chance but when your in a defeated mindset its much harder to commit to the game.
Great wall! Even President Trump would be happy.
yep, SC2HL spoiling the loser in the title as always
A lot of 'pro' players here who think they know better than a real pro, insisting left early last game but are probably at gold league in their moms basement 😂🤦🏻
ZvZ is so boring to watch
