They kinda do look like big Stalkers, you know?
That was one of the sickest plays I've seen in a while. Think the only other play that rivaled that was a mass pickup with phoenixes against Terran I forgot what all he picked up but then dropped them all down right on top of his disruptors' shots the moment they detonated.
Which game was that???
What a great couple of games. Hats off for the both of them.
If Protoss and Terran do not make any decent dmg to zerg in the first 10mins then the outcome is heavily favoured on zerg.
Against serral yes
just in general, you dont want to ket zerg do their thing, you have to deny creep and delay their expensions always
i morso mean like force them to make army with their larva rather than always drones so you have to keep pressure
i know the game is older but this is the best sc2 era IMO, such amazing games for years!!!
I know and players are somehow still only getting better and better at the game it's absolutely ridiculous.
TIME recently with his major improvement and Her0 too who only recently reached the heights he's at as a pro gamer

In the second game where the announcer said that both armies were playing greedy and teching to midgame, that means zerg always wins.
I don't know how to say this, but protoss has faster forge upgrade and benefit more from their tech since all their ground units share the same upgrade. The reason he lost was because he didn't scout the hive fast enough and was under the assumption he will only be facing zerg midgame force without viper. Thats why he immediately attacked when he realize viper was on the way.

How serral almost won the 6:45 fight is beyond me. Hero played like literral artanis and yet he almost lost
No zealots to soak. Stalkers attacking lings instead of roaches.
Serral is a world class player with a massive army?
That is the power of the most broken mechanic/ability in the game "creep", paired with a lot of larva, zerg can just replenish and send their army immediately anywhere within creep

Colossus do zero damage to roach ravager
I remember times when zerg had to build mass corruptors and actively micro them to counter colossi. Just like terran with vikings. Now all zerg has to do is to build a couple of vipers, get energy for basically free (defilers at least consumed units) and click on colossus with insta kill ability...
Corruptor only need spire which is a lair tech, viper need hive which is expensive and take a long time to build. That being said, abduct is an insanely strong ability and I wish they had nerfed its range rather than giving it post-cast delay
It is basically snipe but with instant cast in term of functionality(ghost still more broken tho)
@@iseektheholygrail2055 dealing with colossus required many corruptors, so spire+corruptors were more expensive than hive + vipers. And it required a lot of micro, unlike vipers.
@@ObeliskM you need to build infestation pit before you can go into hive which make it too slow if you build them as response. You need to either know beforehand that your opponent will be going colossus or buy enough time to get vipers out. That being said, I agree that abduction is a busted ability as I've mentioned above

Gods remember when Colossi were the premier Protoss AOE? Since LOTV they barely tickle roaches or anything else that isn't light. Imagine if Hero had Disruptors there.

@@notrather5514 Even before the latest balance patch Ghosts' snipe could be interrupted. We saw this in MANY professional games. What the latest balance patch did was simply cancel the snipe if the target went out of the snipe's range.

Micro is half the battle, macro is the other half. They both have their strongpoint

@@codyestes6596 that's just how larva mechanic works. In return to needing to be on point with inject, you get increased production that can flexibly shift between worker and army. The fact that the oracle was deflected also help
Hero just kept going for all-in's and Serral was able to defend. That's how he outgrew Hero every time.

whats the solution to bane-runby´s?
comparing bane roll and lib harass - both sneaks into mineral line and costs the defender way more multi-tasking, since the attacker only has to shift-click and do other things. the difference is bane rolls kill ur whole mineral line if u don't react in 2 seconds, lib harass takes 1 kill each shot so u can be alerted and react, way more forgiving to the defender. Bane rolls just too unforgiving and too unfair, too stressful to play against.
dont get me wrong but if you let any banes into your mineral line you kinda asked for that to happen

Terran: sensor towers (!) and PF
Zerg: lurkers and spines (!)
@@aloe7794 Yeah, protoss had a cannon and a half wall at 5:25 and even still lost 14 probes after a 2 second delay on his reaction
If this was an adept shade in or a lib sieging in they'd kill 3-4 drones at max
Ok but the liberator is an air unit while the banes are close-range ground units you can't really compare them

Unpopular opinion: Serral matches on this channel are fucking boring. The title is always something like "Player X's awesome thing" only to see the awesome thing and then Serral rolls banes into mineral lines and spams abduct. You already know what's going to happen because it's the same thing you've seen in the last fifty Serral games.
that is his style really - cold machine-like efficiency. Maybe that is not most eye-catching but he is superb in what he is doing.

bane sneak into mineral line such a apm-efficient play, the attacker invests 2 apm and 5 banelings yet the defender has to react in 2 seconds while so many other things are going on, or they just lose the game for it. feels so unfair

Yeah, I mean he is known for being an excellent standard zerg player. If you want to see a cool zerg, Ragnarok does some janky stuff and is more fun to watch sometimes.

feels weird watching protoss. Expensive units that don't feel like they deal as much damage as their cost implies
Especially against Zerg. Terrans have ghosts so they can EMP enemy casters mitigating the Viper threat, and when a mineral line gets smoked by a ling run by MULEs can drop to make up the slack but Protoss are just helpless against both of those threats. So of course Zerg players will spam it knowing that they have a massive advantage in doing so.
@@cugamer8862 yeah terran has sensor towers to be pre- alerted but toss just has to react to bane rollby, it's just impossible even for pro players
honestly toss players deserve it for sticking with the race for this long

Vipers are still too strong. The Viper nerf is laughable.
The nerf is decent against skytoss or high templar, it just that there's nothing to punish them in hero's comp
these games completely depict how broken zerg is, and im glad people are waking up in the comments, if you’re still trying to argue against this point, let me remind you who are the top 3 players atm and have been for the past 4-5 years? serral, dark and reynor, and maru is the only one that ive seen who can beat them, and protoss in general is so unbelievably weak its a joke, im pretty sure there was only 1 protoss who was in top 10players and it was hero

It's basically like it's name. It warp you but stop the process halfway and store your data inside the crystal that is its core before finishing the process when it unload. That's why it can pick up from range.

@@blakesmith5051 I know. But it still feels like the zerg are unbalanced, and it looks like Serral is exploiting that imbalance. I have that impression every time I watch Serral games.

I think harstem never has been a top top protoss and with maxpax I have my doubts, but man showtime in his prime was a beast, haven't seen much of him lately

I haven't watched any of Harstem's matches in Katowice, but I've watched him on Wardi's channel and he has looked really good, even beating HeroMarine. I think the only people he really loses to are top Zergs, Byun and Maru. I could be wrong, but I think in PvP he's a coin toss.
I can’t believe A clicking Banelings and wiping out an entire mineral line in less than 5 seconds is still in the game after all of these years.
As a zerg player, baneling is actually an expensive unit in my opinion. Especially in early game you need speed upgrade in order to be actually useful or effective.

Hero did great with his micro, but just couldnt handle Serral's forces cause Serral is the king of macri. Honestly, Serral's macro is like an AI.

@@InfTlr Serral always outputs more army than his adversaries cause he has more bank. And that is due to his perfect macro. You can watch some clips on that. Like I wrote he is the king of that aspect of the game, zergbuff or not.

Yes. It's called ghost mech. The strongest comp in the game. You don't harass zerg to stop them from teaching up, you harass zerg to prevent them from building killer eco and bury you in their corpses.
