I’ve slept on a yoga mat directly onto floorboards for the last seven years. I used to have back issues, but they’ve genuinely all gone away, it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. After six months (the stage I call ‘recalibrating’ my spine and body) I have zero pain, stronger body frame, my posture is better and my height increased. I’m currently typing this comment lying in bed (on the floor). Don’t believe mattress brands and doctors who say that you need to keep your spine straight etc, I’m living proof that it’s all rubbish. Humans are civilised wild animals (most of us anyway) that evolved for thousands of years to sleep on a solid floor, and mattresses in evolutionary term is a very recent adaptations for modern humans, so the human bodies natural sleeping environment is a hard and solid surface, it’s a fact. I have a very physical and tough full time job, I’m able to financially buy any mattress on the market, but I don’t, because sleeping on the floor is the best and a normal everyday thing in my life.

The mesh does something else you didn't mention, that I can appreciate as a wildlife rehabilitator. Your mesh also prevents window strikes by birds and other animals! You've proven thst one can be close to nature, without causing it harm. I've seen countless videos with huge glass walls and windows, built by architects who want to be in the middle of nature and may even be careful in other ways about their environmental footprint, but are going to kill a lot of birds and mammals with their glass. Architecture schools just don't seem to teach about nature. Yours is quiet, blended, and so much more harmless. Thank you for that, even if you didn't realize you did it. :)
This is probably among my favourite tiny homes I've seen on this channel - it seems so homey, but also very neat and practical. It's also upfront about not being a permanent home, which so many seem to avoid stating on this channel. This isn't to say you can't have an actual permanent home this size, but not a lot I've seen on this channel appears to have what one needs.
I live on a ridge between two valleys. Yes we get wind, but we get great sun and the views are why I love it here. Also great moon rise and sunrises and sets. I’m a cloud fancier so I have great sky views too.
The doorless bathroom might be OK for a single person or a couple who were very close. ;-). I'd want a small gas burner for making coffee rather than needing to start up the wood stove, and maybe a softer mattress.
@@Bobrogers99 if you are in a very cold environment the stove is going to be on anyway. I was more worried about the toilet being visible from outside and, you know, your food is on the other side of the wall, that's pretty bad

Iq Nill I nearly hit a pair of deer last week. The bastards crossed the road when I was driving home at night, I slammed on the brakes and managed to stop 2 metres from them. I drive a small car, so it could have been disastrous.
I hope the Earthquake today in your area didn't destroy anything. Magnificent Design. I'm hoping to build my own container home in the near future. But that view is just out of this world. Congratulations!
I love this! Imagine waking up on a sunny winter Saturday morning and sitting in front of that fire with a cuppa. I bet the stars are really bright at night too.
This is THE best container/small home I have ever seen so far. I especially like how it can unfold to be a double sized space and connected to the nature immediately.
Wow ... I also love that there is such an expanse of wild space, and the dwelling highlights that you don’t need to fill all the space with buildings. That view is absolutely awe inspiring!
It is incredible how the glass changes to the mesh and this allows to give shade to the building and camouflages the house, I really like the lighting that the house has and view it has is also incredible.
"Why would you buy a hill?" I mean.. why *not* !!! Look at this place! The view! It's gorgeous. I feel so calm after watching this. If I'm ever in Australia, I'd love to stay in this amazing tiny home. Thanks for sharing. :)

This is so beautiful. We have just built our own 60sqm dream house in country Australia - that we live in fully - and people tell us that is tiny (we think it’s heaps of room)! Your creation is so beautiful.
I like this a lot !!!! Too many of these small houses have too much going on......a wall that turns into a bed, a table you have to push away to reveal more floor space etc etc. This is simplified living, what you see is what you get and for everyone that obviously didn’t watch the video.... the toilet is sectioned off and private, it’s the bathing and showering area which is open. lovely use of materials and blends well into the landscape, well done to the architects and owners !
For me this building is stunningly beautiful, especially in the landscape. I've read so many negative, moany comments here that surprise me. Congrats on the build and gorgeously relaxing and eye-catching video. I'm inspired.
Can't help but notice how a significant proportion of the comments here are just making smart-ass remarks on what's wrong with the design. Just appreciate the creativity and ingenuity. It's obviously meant to be a weekend hideaway and not a permanent residence.
Your designs are simple and compliments the core of what a shipping container is, along with your choice of hillside location is just perfect! What a pleasant mobile home, or forever home.
The bunk bed looks heavy, you should call your uncle to make it “hydrolic”. Anyway, great place for couples to unplug. Good job and very lovely project.
Very cool project!! Would have also really love to hear more about the water catchment and the power generating and what they do with the gray and the Blackwater. well done, thank you

i was seriously doubting the mattress choice there for a sec... thank goodness they blow up lol
I was like this is perfection until 5:31 hit and i was like..the.."double..bed?"
I thought the same thing!
Omg same I was like what? why? how? And when it expanded I was like my questions have been answered.
I've never seen them used like this. I've only even used them camping. They are really good to sleep on. An excellent idea for a folding bed.
