Also, yards are proper Battlefields once you have gangs, so just get gangs to form and funnel them into the yard, and then they will fight over it, usually to the death.

You turned on events which allowed the gov. to interfere with the project. You mostly only brought in min security prisoners which are much less likely to cause trouble than the max security prisoners. In the option modifiers, you could have turned on a lot of modifiers that make the prisoners much more violent including a modifier that makes all prisoners legendary which would have been extremely entertaining. There is also modifier that makes every prisoner a gang member so that you could put only different gang prisoners in the same cell so that they would instantly fight to the death. This was a very entertaining video as always but seeing it makes me really want to see a working Prison Architect gladiator pit.

This is the game I play on my old laptop during vacations. My best gladiator? Some guy locked in solitary for 300+ years. I have 4 solitary doors (he keeps breaking them) and about 12 armed guards outside his "cell." Feeding him is too dangerous, every guard sent to provide food just dies.
I've had a few legendary prisoners like that throughout my games. I made an entire smaller prison outside of my actual one only for a single legendary prisoner in my last prison.
This reminds me of tapegamings prison, sadly his warden got arrested for criminal abuse. Turns out that 10 deaths per day is too much or some bs like that.
Now this is purely theoretically but if we took the US war on drugs to be an actual war then we could technically define those imprisoned committing violent crimes relating to drugs as combatants. Therefore this would technically count as a war crime and Valefisk is again just demonstrating his mastery thereof.
I think the only reason this isn't a human rights violation is because no one has written laws regarding this, because the UN never expected anyone to get this far.
Heres a tip: prisoners dont get weapons from weapon racks (i know its retarded ) you need to build amouries, this can just be a one by one spot without anything in it. Just place a space as an amoury and weapons will spawn. Also if you had made the cells dormitories no one would have been handcuffed
