Omg all the people in the comments are crazy. Emotion and 1989 are kind of similar because they're both pop inspired by the 80's. If you genuinely like Emotion better than 1989 than that's solely your opinion and thoughts. Music taste is subjective and different in each and every one of us. 1989 is not bad, just because it has Shake It Off and Bad Blood (as I've seen in the comments people say that) doesn't mean the entire album is bad. Taylor wrote all of 1989 with a little help of the co-writers, she also helped in production and knows what it wants to sound like. Please stop

Carly Rae Jepsen is much better than Taylor Swift in my opinion, Swift is too commercialized with too many songs about ex boyfriends and getting revenge on those who dumped her. Carly does love songs too but it's more like that upbeat, techno happy go lucky pop music. I love it !!
