her discography is so varied & wonderful. there's a song for every mood when you listen to her. she's truly so underrated! she stays true to herself and not pop trends. that's what makes her an artist.
@@mohammadalkhars3210 the one that instantly came to mind is Your Type from Emotion. The video is great too! Also, Cry on Emotion side B. And just to throw one in from the new album: Too Much probably fits in that category & the video is great too! From the new album, Julien is a lil moody & so goood.
Carly is a ray of light her music is so refreshing I love how versatile and creative she is she’s a brilliant song writer she is so underrated I wished that she got more recognition for her talent . Her album was incredible I loved it literally had every single song on repeat. It was lit 🔥 she’s queen 👑
I think this is one of the best interviews. So good. Carly is so sweet and genuine. Dedicated and Emotion are on my top 10 albums of all time. This was so good... And YESSSS I would love that jazz album!!!!
oh my GOD hearing carly talk about the difficulty of writing pop music makes SO much sense when you listen to her music. every word is so deliberate, and you can hear it.
i love the way she started the album with a song about being infatuated with someone and ending it with a song about self love. heck yes. hope she finds her real love soon though
Wow I'm so impressed by this interviewer. He has an amazing ability to make his guest comfortable, he's friendly and the discussion is so interesting! And he has a great voice too!
I loved this interview, specifically the part when Carly and Tom talk about the popularity she got when Call Me Maybe was first released back in 2012. That was my first exposure to Carly because I had no clue who she was before that, nor did I know anything else about her other than the attention she was getting because of that song so I decided to look for her other songs on the albums she did before or after that such as "Tug Of War" the other songs on the "Kiss" album, EMOTION and more recently the new album Dedicated and those other songs she made are what made me a longtime fan of Carly Rae, the only problem is that the other songs get very little or no attention at all, mostly because of the fact that she's only remembered for the Call Me Maybe song by the general public and nothing else and that's the only thing that sucks but it is what it is, people are going to listen to whatever they want and you can't change that.
She is such a great talent and even a better person. I love that she is so very real. She is so normal, even being as amazing as she is as a song writer and performer. I can't get enough Carly Rae Jepson. Such a Special soul, glad she shares her essance with the world. Love ya Carly..
She actually so eloquently and articulately explains so much here, and it has been a pleasure to listen to this interview. Like she said at the beginning: commendation to the interviewer for the questions that are original and refreshing.
What a refreshing interview. I’ve always liked Carly Rae Jepsen’s energy but now I love her even more. What a beautiful creative person. And kudos to the interviewer! He did a good job asking the right questions.
Lovely interview. Like she said, fresh questions! Didn't want it to end so soon. Truly, a musical genius of our time! Hey Carly, if you're ever looking for new adventures, I think you could have a lot of fun with a kpop colab. Red Velvet's got that sophisticated, jazzy style with smooth vocals. You'd be a dynamite combo!
she has some good songs on that album though. curiosity is still one of my favorite carly songs. and her previous album has good sound too. emotion is her best though
Wait... She still have no plan of wedding?! Maybe I still got chance to.. :p Waiting for her jazz album! Her first song Sweet Talker is kinda jazzy I guess! She must do more of it
What I really need to know is why "Felt This Way" comes before "Stay Away" on _Dedicated: Side B._ It just doesn't make sense to me! I still think they should be the other way around.
My love, the cutest of all ,and really talented, and lovable ,it hurts she doesn't notice me,and we are not married for 75 years ! i wanna spend all my time with her ,and show her all the love in the world,so we also end up in heaven together, actually she is heaven for me.unreachable, but so close.I just love her, like no one else.its fantasy ! I don't mind not understanding everything she says,I just get mesmorised by her smile and simply dreaming of kissing her
her discography is so varied & wonderful. there's a song for every mood when you listen to her. she's truly so underrated! she stays true to herself and not pop trends. that's what makes her an artist.
does she have any mourning or/and sad songs? recommendations?

@@elvisvan no, she doesn't. They're different genres.
@@honeyglisten Your Type - YES!!! Too Much - Yes! and I would add Warm Blood :)
She so humble and same time flawless!
Favourite color is one of the prettiest and well made pop songs in the world for me, the lyrics, melody, instrumental... i love u carly.
Favourite Colour is one of my top CRJ songs. Call Me Maybe seems so overrated to me. I became a fan when I actually heard her other songs.
A-GREED! It sounds like it's meant to be blasted in an empty field beneath the stars on a summer night.
@@panzer_TZ same! As much as call me maybe made people "discover" her, her other songs are perfect
She is such a delight! And her new songs are really catchy! Love her
I'm so in love with her new album

I love CRJ, and just noticed her Northern Accent! It’s so cute! Dedicated is such a BOP album. Emotion will always be my heart, and soul.
Carly along with Robyn have really injected alot of incredible musicality and authenticity to traditional pop this decade !! Love them
this was the absolute best interview ever. thank you for going 15 min over your time lol. so awesome.
oh my GOD hearing carly talk about the difficulty of writing pop music makes SO much sense when you listen to her music. every word is so deliberate, and you can hear it.
Carly is incredibly kind, the interviewer Tom Power is amazing for asking these in depth introspective questions.
i love the way she started the album with a song about being infatuated with someone and ending it with a song about self love. heck yes. hope she finds her real love soon though
She's in a relationship with one of the songwriters on that album now!
@@Nogli The connection was really strong with that one hahaha

At least they're listening. And, hopefully, they fall into a musical rabbit hole and discover how much she's grown since that song.
She's so pure... a real angel
Like Takeoff...

1:59 I honestly couldn't tell she was Canadian until she said sorry. I've known she was Canadian for a while now, but I couldn't tell until now.
I love Carly 😍
Always love your interviews with CRJ
Is the chair so low or Carly is so small ? 🇵🇱💗💗❣️
No Carly is that small, I met her in person a few years ago and she's shorter than me.
She is small, but she compensates for her size by wielding a sword

When she said my name, my heart kind of stopped for a second.
I just love her voice. ❤
Criminally underrated songwriter. Pop powerhouse
I admit I dismissed Carly after Call Me Maybe until the pure pop music bliss that is Emotion.
she has some good songs on that album though. curiosity is still one of my favorite carly songs. and her previous album has good sound too. emotion is her best though
Girl, SAME. That’s why I love her as much as I do now. That’s how much emotion blew me away and took me by surprise, completely.
The interview is so cool
She should win a grammy please for the love of God. Carly Rae is super talented one of kind. ❤️🙏
I wish she would talk more about that Dear You EP!
