For real, I always hated that shit especially when you had the person on one shot and had a 99% chance to shoot them missed then they'd hit some critical hit on you & one shot you, I save scum the fuck out that game, I still do, haven't played in awhile but I will, it's just when I play I often have to save some and I usually on that game for over 5 hours so I have to make sure I have a lot of time on my hands when I play that game which is why I don't play it as often but it is one of my favorite games.

Close call at the end. No shame in fleeing! (BTW: from the other videos of folks playing this mission, Nicastro’s funky smoke ability reduces each Agent’s Line of Sight, that’s why they couldn’t see anyone to shoot)

Oh man, I think you'd really enjoy Invisible Inc. Similar pop spy aesthetic, turn-based stealth, line of sight, cover, and noise mechanics, and VERY sleek and enjoyable. Plenty of mechanics to sink your teeth into, too. I'd love to see you beat it on Expert Plus or even the tougher unofficial difficulties. The major difference (and a good one, IMO) is lack of hitpoints and hit percentages - it's all about deterministic gameplay, planning and execution. A rare innovation that I'm somewhat disappointed more stealthy turn-based games haven't taken.
EDIT: Oh, and it has LOOOOORE.
Quick question: Will this game have like a speed up mode which cancels most camera fixation and increases speed or something similar? Thats why xcom2 is so annoying to replay.
Game in a way looks like a fusion between desperado/commando/shadow tactics and Xcom. From what I gather from the video Pravus is not familiar with with any, so many little blunders. Yet still praise Pravus.

You did such an amazing job explaining this game so well! You can tell you spent time preparing for it. Honestly, the game is looking gorgeous and I'm already interested in it, but the way you presented it in such a fun and clever way is what really sold it for me. I mean, you totally could have just read the pop up tutorial and instead you explained instead of making us read. Seriously, bravo on game promo.
I think I've seen a similar system before, in a game called Mutant: Year Zero: Road to Eden

Great game, I can't wait for this game to come out, I've been following since the announcement trailer. So it seems you can use more then 3 people at a time, I'm hoping for 6 ultimately even if you have to unlock it by playing the story or something.

@@koghs Sponsors were not that uncommon on Flying Boats. They're usually wing-shaped, the way they're modeled of the aircraft in-game doesn't depart all that much from reality.
I love these types of games, reminds me of phantom doctrine and road to Eden. But I will say this, using a melee character, you can position Ingrid to a direction where she can attack and be in cover as well. Unless that mechanic is not in this game🤷🏾♂️
Don't forget Invisible Inc., aka the best game of this type.

I pronounce it sort of like "John Darm" but my French is terrible. From what I've seen of its use, some places use it to mean "police" in general, and some use it to refer to the department's elected ranking officer. Think of a sheriff and you'll be pretty close. In this case, I think it refers to the police station since "no one has responded".

Looks pretty nice. I like the setting. Though very different, the artstyle and setting remind me of Strange Brigade. And now I wish there were a Strange Brigade 2.
Ingrid's voice actress sounds familiar--a bit like Kate Mulgrew, in fact. Has anyone seen the credits for this game yet?
So it's a 30's pulp game in the Xcom vein, with kind of a Cthulhu vibe, made by the studio who did the Shadowrun series? Bloody hell Paradox, between my Stellaris addiction and my Crusader Kings habit, don't you have enough of my money yet? Suffice it to say, I am looking forward to this.
I think you might be new to this, you moved Ingrid from full cover to half cover & said let's get her some better cover, when you already had full cover to begin with, these games are like a chess match, you have to think a couple turns ahead & have lots of patience & discipline

this looks like an amazing game. a lot better than battlemech with all the covers and movement options. i'd love to see you play XCOM if you want to play another TBS game next time.

First sign that the game's gonna fail: using internet celebrities to drum up hype. Here's hoping it doesn't go that way, but I'm not exactly impressed so far.

I really don't prefer how they made Ingrid, a thin, pretty woman, the professional wrestler type. Just really unthematic for me.
