    When I first came to Australia to live, the very first car I drove was a then-new BA XR6 turbo. I'd just sold an E36 M3 in the UK; and that Falcon would have blown it off the road. So when I got my citizenship a few years later, I treated myself to a BF XR8. Proper Aussie muscle car, with a proper Aussie V8. It wasn't that fast, it was in a shade of green that can only be described as "metallic dehydrated piss", and it drank like a bogan at Bathurst. But what a car.
    *Edit* After writing this comment, I realised how much I missed my BF XR8. And as luck would have it, there was an immaculate XR8 BF2.5 with the Aggressor body kit for sale about 15 mins away by the original owner. I did a deal, and am the again the proud owner of my very own bright orange XR8. And I could not be fucking happier

      E36 M3’s are great, but the fact that a Ford Falcon XR6T can be what it is, for the price point too and size etc is amazing

    This brings back so many good memories, had a ba xt finished in lighting strike as my first car. This definitely made me reminisce over road trips with mates, late night maccas runs and towing project cars, made me fall in love with the ford brand. Was sad to let it go, but went from it to an fg super pursuit. Would love to add it again when i have more space, happy anniversary PD, here is to 10 more years, and thank you for the memories 👍

    I was watching the 2014 Bathurst yesterday, seeing the Holden VS Ford brought a tear to my eye. Call them bogan or whatever, but we had a unique car market that is now a sea of imports. It’s a shame

    • @pokinacha
      @pokinacha 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What is a shame is the Bathurst name that was solely associated with Holden Vs Ford, was forgotten from the rich history that was Australian motor racing before the Holden and Ford gubbins. Did you know that both Ferrari and Maserati raced at Bathurst? The Blue and Red has painted over a rich racing history in an attempt to sell more local cars. look how well that’s gone.

    The ACCC has instituted proceedings in the Federal Court against Mazda Australia Pty Ltd (Mazda) alleging that Mazda engaged in unconscionable conduct and made false or misleading representations in its dealings with consumers
