"fairness" applies to the defendant, not the prosecutors. nowhere does the idea of fairness apply to plaintiffs, it is to protect the accused.

And now Shiff wants to control how the Senate wants to proceed and who they would be allowed to call as witnesses? Why not just have Shiff write all the questions too? The repubs do not want the trial because Shiff and cohorts are masters at cherry picking sound bites and claiming half truths and the media is on their side. Whistleblower is not relevant at this point, because the 17 witnesses you noted went beyond his/her initial reporting of Trump's schemes. Sondland was directly involved with Trump. Vindman was in the room and heard Trump's Quid pro quo. The only reason why Trump and his henchmen want the Whistleblower is so that they can attack him/her and give up there identity, which would leave them in harms way. House republicans were able to call several witnesses during the impeachment inquiry, including Jonathan Turley, Tim Morrison, and Kurt Volker, just to name a few. Either educate yourself, or be less disingenuous. Also work on your understanding of whistleblowers and why their identities are both protected and immaterial once their claims are corroborated.
