The problem with trump is that the way he proposed this investigation (conveniently only of the person beating him in polls at the time) wasn’t legal. It’s not legal for a president to withhold aid that has already been approved by congress unless its signed off on and no one was willing to sign off on that. In fact, there were a couple officials who quit rather than sign off on holding the aid. And if they’re so darn worried about corruption in Ukraine, why was the only target of an investigation Biden and his son and why would you want such a corrupt country investigating anything in the first place? It just doesn’t add up. There are proper channels to investigate the Biden’s, but trump didn’t go through that.

It’s not legal for a president to withhold aid that has already been approved by congress unless its signed off on and no one was willing to sign off on that. In fact, there were a couple officials who quit rather than sign off on holding the aid. And if they’re so darn worried about corruption in Ukraine, why was the only target of an investigation Biden and his son and why would you want such a corrupt country investigating anything in the first place? It just doesn’t add up. There are proper channels to investigate the Biden’s, but trump didn’t go through that.
