In fact this ghazal by Mirza Ghalib in percian was translated in Punjabi by Sufi Tabassum sb. I fondly listened this for over forty years by Ghulam Ali sb. This is first time listened in Saima Jahan melodious voice & very impressed.

This program was called "Kharaj-e-Tehseen" and it was telecast on PTV in the early 2000s, Anwar Maqsood was the host of the programme and in every episode they used to give tribute to a certain legendary personality of Pakistan from the past era belonging to arts like famous writers, poets, actors, singers, music composers etc.
I listened to this ghazal in early 1970s in my school days, sung by Ghulam Ali. This is actually a translation of GHALIB's famous Persian ghazal. Anyhow this lady, I think, did even greater than ghulam ali. زمن گرت نبور باور انتظار، بیا بہانہ جویی مباش و ستیزہ کار بیا Celebrities like well known poet AMJAD ISLAM AMJAD and a BIG name in ghazal singing FAREEDA KHANUM are also among the audience.
Saima jahan is such a singer who can sing the most difficult songs. Her vocal controls are suberb. I would also reccomend to listen her song " ve chan daya totaya te dilan daya... A worth listening song and see her marvelous talent.
