@@mccartyspeedandfab yes friend 🤠👍
She's a beautiful classic pickup
Definitely a sharp one!
Very nice build!
Appreciate it! 👍🏻
That thing is a beast.😁😁😁
Thanks 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Beautiful truck
Thanks Clay!
@@mccartyspeedandfab I seen the truck and owner the other night a the gas station. It has folks flocking to it. Amazing job fella
Thanks man! Yea it usually draws some attention!
87 was the first year for the R/V series & gasoline fuel injected motors & the last year for those generation half ton & three quarter ton regular cab pickups which makes that R10 pickup there unique.
Most people have no clue about this!
@@mccartyspeedandfab fun facts 1991 was the very last year for those generation pickups & SUVs. First the one ton regular cab pickups were finished in 1989 & then the crew cab pickups & SUVs which were the last models left in production were finished in 1991. Why the series were changed to R/V series in 1987 was to make a distinction between them & the upcoming next generation C/K series pickups for the 1988 model year because they wanted to help people avoid confusion with the two different body designs since they both were gonna be in production at the same time which lasted up through 1991.
@@mccartyspeedandfab also what's interesting is the half ton pickups like that R10 there that were sold down in Mexico were also produced up through 1991 which was surprising because I thought all of the half ton & three quarter ton regular cab pickups all over the world were done in 1987.
@@mccartyspeedandfab rewind to 1973 which was the first year for that body design except the nose on the front, emblems, interior, optional bodyside molding trim, & fleetside tailgate had different designs. Not to forget they didn't have the square shaped fuel filler doors yet until 1979 & before that, it was just the exposed fuel caps flush with the body. 1981 was the first year for those body parts with the same designs as that R10 except for the grille & headlamp bezels which were produced from 1985 through 1988.
Go dawgs!
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Ich würde mir auch gern so ein Chevy kaufen aber bei uns in Deutschland unbezahlbar 😩
Echt super Auto👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Turbo trucks to the front!!
Say it louder for the ones in the back!!
🔥
😎👌🏼
Dam bro u got a bad ass truck❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks! It’s a good friend and customers truck we did a lot of the build on!
That's a super impressive build, man! Very well done! How many turbo builds have you done before? This doesn't look like your first rodeo.
Thanks Adam! That was actually my very first full turbo build. I had done cold side setups on two well known local turbo cars before that but never done a full setup myself.
Exactly what I want to do to mine. It's coming!
Do it! Such a killer combo in a truck!
@@mccartyspeedandfab Did you beef the 4l80 up?
@@dogman_ had a pretty standard build with shift kit, good clutches and a couple billet parts. Converter let go about 3 weeks ago. Waiting on a triple disc Circle D converter and the trans is getting a once over and a few things replaced.
@mccartyspeedandfab Also, can you duplicate this turbo kit?
Each kit we do is custom built on the vehicle!
Man that R10 is sweet. What drop is that? I ha e an 87 r10 and that's the stance I like.
Flip kit in the back with overload spring removed. Front at the time of the video was a spindle and a full round cut out of the springs. Now it has a full QA1 suspension setup in the front but sits the same
Where did you find the fender emblem? That's a cool (discrete) touch. Nice truck!
The owner ordered them from a gentleman out of Canada who makes them! It’s one of my favorite things also! Thanks!
What kind of exhaust do you have? Awesome truck
Thanks! 3” down pipes to 3” exhaust with some cheap Dynomax bullets with tailpipes turned down right over the axle!
how much you charge install those dakota digital gauges . I got dakota digital gauges for my truck need somebody to install them for me
Shoot me and email to discuss quotes.
I’m single turbo’d and I wound up cooking my coil packs, and it was exhaust wrapped. I wound up relocating my coils packs. How does it not cook electronics with it all unwrapped?
There is really nothing electronic for it to cook 🤷🏽♂️ecu is inside, coil packs are relocated, harness is all tucked away from anything hot.
@@mccartyspeedandfab what coil packs is he running?
Stock silverado coils. Over 10k miles on a used set and has been great with no issues
How did you make it get traction,,,I can get my truck to hook
This one is pretty simple setup. Flip kit with one leaf spring removed out of the pack. Caltrac bars, junk shocks, and a 275/60/15 drag radial! His 60ft time could be better but the suspension really still needs to be dialed in!
Bad ass truck whats the best way to get a quote
Thanks! Really no way to do quotes on jobs like these. It’s time plus materials and parts.
What fuel pump(s) are you running? In line or in tank?
This is a Aeromotive dual phantom 340 drop in setup. I made it work in a factory 87 driver side tank. I hardly ever do in-line setups anymore
what cam did yall run in the truck??
It was one of the BTR turbo cams, don’t remember exact one off the top of my head!
@@mccartyspeedandfab copy that. thanks. been researching cams and that truck sounds good across the board. getting ready to do our first turbo build, a similar TT/6.0 build in an 88 cc dually. your build looks sick!
@@RedRockIndustries thanks! It’s so hard to beat a twin turbo setup on a 6.0! That will be sweet in a dually!
We have changed to a set of black widow mufflers on it recently and added some electric cutouts!
I have a 87 r10 with a ls408 … you want to do another one ?
Give us a shout when you are ready!
What would a setup engine tranny set run $$.
Sorry I don’t discuss numbers over social media.
Brother can u plz send me rim and tire bolt size info I want the exact ones this truck is gorgeous
20x8 front 20x 10 rear. 245/45 front 285/40 rear
@@mccartyspeedandfab thank u 👍
what flew off at beginning? lolz
😂😂a lid off a plastic tote in the bed!
what compression ratio N/A
If I remember right it was 8.7:1 maybe a little more.
@@mccartyspeedandfab ok thanks I just got a 408 with 9.7:1 for a 73 k5 and I was thinking about adding boost
@@codyharris7288 you should be good as long as you keep the boost down and have a conservative tuneup. Just run race gas or e85 setup if you decide to turn it up!
@@mccartyspeedandfab I was thinking around 10 psi of boost on pump gas and maybe some meth injection
@@codyharris7288 I would think that would be fine especially since you are running meth injection
What turbos are those?
Precision mirror image 6466’s!
