I became aware of that entrance on September 30, 1977 when I visited Graceland, shortly after Elvis' death. My mother, brother and I actually met Billy Smith that day. He came down that entrance on his golf cart and chatted with us. He was so very friendly and nice. I have pictures of him on his golf cart and with my mom. You can see over his shoulder that entrance. We were fortunate to have met Vester Presley and he was so gracious and allowed us pictures with him and gave us his autograph. I took a picture of the Graceland Christian Church sign that day too. My brother walked along side of the white fence and took pictures of the backyard. He took pictures in a sequence and we put them together to make a panoramic view and they turned out great. Remember, that was back in the day when you had to have film developed. I took pictures of Charlie Hodge stopping at the gate to enter Graceland as he chatted with Vester Presley. We signed the rock wall and photographed that and our day was complete. How exciting! We visited the mausoleum at Forest Hill Cemetary on October 1, 1977 but learned that Elvis and Glady's bodies were being moved the next day. It was a whirl wind trip to Tupelo, Memphis then on to Nashville, Tn. A trip I will never forget!
@@SpaGuy Yes, I have pics of the mausoleum from the outside. Entrance roped off with floral cross arrangement at top of stairs. I have my pic beside the arrangement. There probably were no more than a dozen people there. That was my only visit to Memphis. Would love to visit Graceland but it would be a solo trip and I have heard bad things about Memphis area so guess that won't happen. I was fortunate to see Elvis in concert 6 times. The last concert was in Macon, Ga on June 1, 1977, shortly before his passing. Thanks for all your videos as I really enjoy them!

Thanks to you, Spa Guy, our trip to Graceland was amazing! We stood at the side-gate entrance looking in, when all of a sudden, it opened.... I thought it was a gift from God. While debating if we could walk through, a grounds keeper went by on his golfcart laughing, then the gate closed. It was magical for a moment! Thank you Spa Guy!!
Nice job documenting and researching this as always, Billy. I was lucky enough to be able to go down that driveway on the side of the EPE offices and through a security gate back in 2006. I won't mention the person's name, but I was a personal guest of a personal friend of Elvis. This individual drove, went through security and delivered something personal to the employees during Elvis week. Again, I don't want to share their information in this forum, but I will be glad to tell you privately Billy, if you are interested. Then, during the candlelight vigil, I spent the night on that very hill that you were standing on. Because of being a private guest of that same individual, my wife and I were granted access to that hill for vigil night. We had camp chairs and blankets. There was an inflatable movie screen set up and we were able to watch Elvis concert performances all night while taking turns doing shifts as honor guard. It was a very special time that I will treasure forever.
Excellent detailed information on the history of Elvis property. Much better quality than a lot of other TH-cam channels that have a lot of Elvis content. Your channel isn’t fixated on one particular object with questionable backstory’s to it great video.
Great video, I finally understand the back entrance layout. My first visit to Graceland was in 1988. I have pictures of me standing by Elvis’s cars and snowmobile. Aunt Delta was cooking in the kitchen when I went through the house.

Great info Billy. Somewhere between that convenience store and the shopping area, I was sitting in my car one day in 1975 outside a Barbeque restaurant just watching the activity at Graceland. In a few minutes the black limo rolled in from the South toward the gate and it slowed quickly as Elvis stared me down. I was sitting in my black 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix. Years later I learned that he really liked the Pontiac Grand Prix and the Stutz Blackhawks were built on the Grand Prix chassis.

Also went through lisa marie plane when they brought it to indy airport after his death. Very unique plane had a great volume of memrobilia such a classic piece of equipment. Elvis had good taste. Loved it loved it loved it! After looking at all the old aerials - Elvis should have tightened up and bought most, if not all, the property around Graceland. The 1956 photos looks like he's out in the country. So sickening to see how quickly the city encroached upon his privacy. No one around in the early days. Now - Graceland has hardly any property at all. Just amazing to see then and now. Lessons to be learned I guess if you're blessed with money and want to find that perfect getaway.
I can remember in the mid 70's when i visited Graceland and the church being there. Plus the apartments and the car dealership down the street. Just wish i had pictures from back then. Your video takes me back in time. Especially visiting Libery Land.
Great video! When you were up on the hill at night and said you were sure there was stuff thrown up there by Elvis and the guys, I was positive you were going to find a fast food cup which you would have been able to gift to the Elvis Beverage Guy.
Thanks Spa Guy. Man you are really good. Man I really like when you do this kind of things about Graceland. Makes it so real. Thanks again. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Well done as always, friend, as I know it takes quite an investment of time, but I hope you love it as much as we all do! From various pictures, and yours included, it seems like a small little village in the area of the side gate. As if memory serves me, I believe I once saw a light blue Cape Cod style home back there, as well as several concrete type structures where I had thought the guys might stay. Photos of that area seem very hard to come by. Any idea as to those brick structures & other things, while a great pic of Billy and Joe's place, as well as Tish's. P.S. I was just thinking, too, but the attraction of Elvis always amazes me. As we're about the same age and I, too, was crawling through the trees in the late 80s. lol
That was a great video Spa Guy, thank you ❤ wow so much has changed over the years, incredible. Just 11 years after the passing of Elvis and you were already at the scene. I wonder if you have any photo's of the trailers and how many were there. Must have been an interesting site to see.
There were 3 trailers back there the doublewide you see and 2 single sides.. One of the single wides was move to the right of Vernon's office and it the place the employees go to for work at the mansion..
Spa Guy interesting secret entrance. We have visited Graceland many times, my husband and I were wondering if Graceland had any other entrance perhaps a secret one? Voila! You come with the facts. Thank You we enjoyed watching this video. Arrivederci!
Thank you Billy so much for your wonderful video's - to me it's a 'passage of time and wonder' living in Australia I could never ever hope to see all Elvis's treasures of life especially his beloved Graceland 🥰🥰
I think I’ve been driven that way once, around 13 years ago. Hard to say exactly where I was. I was taken with some others, possibly by golf cart, around the left side of the house and up a back way. From what I could tell, it looked like there was more to the house area than they show you on the tour. And I was taken to some building back there where there was kind of a security office. That’s all I remember. But interesting stuff.
I went to school in Mississippi during the 1970’s.A history teacher of mine claimed that her friend lived in one of the houses that was on the back side of the property and said that Elvis would knock on her door.He would go through her house and call someone then go out the back door and jump the fence and have someone to pick him up and drive to his house. We were skeptical that it was true.
I would say that if he did do that there would be pictures of it as the fans could be fooled a time or two but not constantly and they were always around..
It's there. Or it used to be. I lived in Memphis on Winchester and rode my bike to the big white fence and kept going until someone stopped me and told me I was not allowed to be there. This was in the 70's. There were horses there too. 1971 to be precise.
On the Graceland Christian Church webpage their history section says that they remained at the location next to Graceland from October 1956 to 1989 when EPE purchased the land to expand their facilities. They moved their church to Stateline Road East in Southhaven, Mississippi. Their write up mentions Grace Toof, Mrs. Moore and Elvis in the history.
You already posted this video several years ago. Why no new videos about Graceland?. Thanks for showing Billy's double wide I've always wondered what it looked like.
I am going back and updating every video from the early days when I had 15,000 subs.. Now I have 100,000 and most have never seen the original videos. I am also updating them with new information I have and making sure what I said then is correct.. I know a lot more now than I did then so I am making sure they are up to date!!
The road that is behind the Graceland guest house, was it put there when they built that hotel for easy access to the building where they keep the special items? I notice that it closely joins the area where the other entrance use to be, or where the wedding chapel might be now.
There was a few trailers in that area but no pictures of them me and my mom came in many times that way in the time they was moving stuff out of there trailers
C'est pour cela Elvis est mort jeune. Les gens n'ont vraiment aucun respect pour la vie privée. Le pauvre! Elvis étouffait d'être toujours épier surveiller. C' est vraiment malsain.😢😢✝️✝️🙏

LOL!!!!
Great video Billy as always 👍!
Thanks Spa Guy. Man you are really good. Man I really like when you do this kind of things about Graceland. Makes it so real. Thanks again. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Interesting and fun to watch!! Thanks Spy Guy! Safe travels!
Great
Very good video. Thanks Spa guys❤

way kool billy!.....thank you from BILLY in tacoma washington....
Thank you Billy for your story from Sydney Australia 🇭🇲
Espectacular
Great video again Billy , thanx a million xx
As we're about the same age and I, too, was crawling through the trees in the late 80s. lol
Yep not sure why I an drawn to the story but I am.. The Blue Cape Cod is the doublewide trailer.. It was Blue in 1988 when I saw it..
that so cool billy see that Elvis Presley's Graceland Secret Back Entrance:
That was a great video Spa Guy, thank you ❤ wow so much has changed over the years, incredible. Just 11 years after the passing of Elvis and you were already at the scene. I wonder if you have any photo's of the trailers and how many were there. Must have been an interesting site to see.
There were 3 trailers back there the doublewide you see and 2 single sides.. One of the single wides was move to the right of Vernon's office and it the place the employees go to for work at the mansion..
I am going to Graceland from May 15th to May 19th woot woot ! my dream is coming true 🤩🤩❤❤❤
You will have a Great time!! Congratulations!!
Fantástico video!!! Muchas gracias por tan buena información!!!😊👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Spa Guy interesting secret entrance.
We have visited Graceland many times, my husband and I were wondering if Graceland had any other entrance perhaps a secret one? Voila! You come with the facts.
Thank You we enjoyed watching this video.
Arrivederci!
By golly you do your research. lol. Love it. Thanks for all of those pics and satellite images. That was awesome.
Thank you Billy so much for your wonderful video's - to me it's a 'passage of time and wonder' living in Australia I could never ever hope to see all Elvis's treasures of life especially his beloved Graceland 🥰🥰
Thank You for Watching and Encouraging!!
Thanks!
LOVELY TO KNOW WHERE R.I.P. MR. ELVIS PRESLEY. LIVED AT THE TIME . FROM, U.K. (2024).
멀리 대한민국에도 엘비스를 그리고 해요 이런영상 말을 알아들을순없지만 엘비스팬으로서 넘 좋아요

Thank-you for sharing. With Elvis security & privacy he would have needed that secret entrance😉
Thank you for all your information.I always wondered where the back entrance was.
ThanQ Billy ❤ Next Year in mai then i'll go to Graceland finaly 🙏🎉🕺💃🏼🌈🌟💞🙋🏼♀️
I went to school in Mississippi during the 1970’s.A history teacher of mine claimed that her friend lived in one of the houses that was on the back side of the property and said that Elvis would knock on her door.He would go through her house and call someone then go out the back door and jump the fence and have someone to pick him up and drive to his house. We were skeptical that it was true.
I would say that if he did do that there would be pictures of it as the fans could be fooled a time or two but not constantly and they were always around..
Thank you see this 2024
I still around! I appreciate all your Elvis stories. You did a good job showing his connections to Texas. Thank you
It's there. Or it used to be. I lived in Memphis on Winchester and rode my bike to the big white fence and kept going until someone stopped me and told me I was not allowed to be there. This was in the 70's. There were horses there too. 1971 to be precise.
My wife, daughter and myself was at Graceland in 1988.
So it was 1989.. I remember in the 90's it still having the sign out..
They're also secret underground portals that will take you to a place and time where Elvis is still alive.
Thanks Billy, good job. My 1st visit to Graceland was in 88.
Billy, did you get the message I sent you re: the 16 Elvis Movies I found? If not, where can I send a pic of them?
I didn't billy@thesgnetwork.com
You already posted this video several years ago. Why no new videos about Graceland?. Thanks for showing Billy's double wide I've always wondered what it looked like.
I am going back and updating every video from the early days when I had 15,000 subs.. Now I have 100,000 and most have never seen the original videos. I am also updating them with new information I have and making sure what I said then is correct.. I know a lot more now than I did then so I am making sure they are up to date!!
❤
The road that is behind the Graceland guest house, was it put there when they built that hotel for easy access to the building where they keep the special items? I notice that it closely joins the area where the other entrance use to be, or where the wedding chapel might be now.
Yes that road was added when they built the Guest House for access to the Wedding Chapel..
@@SpaGuy Awesome. Thank you for the info, and keep on making the great videos. 💯
There was a few trailers in that area but no pictures of them me and my mom came in many times that way in the time they was moving stuff out of there trailers
Great Work!
You can almost see Elvis cruising on his motorbikes 😊
I remember when i visited back in 2009 i was shocked how low the front rock wall is. I was thinking people must jump it all the time
Ive seen pictures where Elvis is at the gate when the wall etc was being built. In the picture you can see across the street and there is nothing but an old house. Graceland was at that time in the country on an two lane country road.
Hi Billy, thank you for all the great stories! Btw, are you offering Elvis related tours in Memphis? I will be in Memphis around March 19th. This would be awesome!!
Not offering tours at this time.. we normally only do them in January and August Elvis weeks..
@@SpaGuy oh thats too bad. Then I'll book a tour at Graceland. And I hope to have time to visit your new Karate Museum:) All the best from Switzerland to you Billy and thank you for all those great great stories!

@@Eio7 oh no, I didn't know it is closed...
I have to check my photos I was at Graceland in 1988 and have a picture of the same sign out front with the one A on it if that’s so I have to check that out I also signed the wall a little to the left of that sign I took photos of the whole outside and out front of the main house and back where the horses were at the time of my visit cool to know this stuff I hope to get back there to show my wife it. I should of bought photos I seen on eBay the photos were at the back of Graceland someone took photos over the wall there was a swing set back in the late 70s I guess it was Lisa’s swing set the photos were rare snapshots I hesitated to buy them they were cheap and when I went back for them they were gone but they were nice shots of the back of Graceland I never seen before the person who took the photos said they had to climb the wall quick to take them
The Swing set is still there in front o f Vernon's office.. And you are correct the historic marked had Aron with one A no doubt..
@@SpaGuy yes and from your video it had 2 double As and when you said 1988 that’s when I was there in June and took a picture of it now I have to get the photos out to see. Plus I liked your video awhile back you finding the rescue that carried Elvis to the hospital in 77 that was amazing. But yes the swing set someone was selling pictures of that on eBay I was going to buy them for my Elvis collection I’m a big collector of Elvis stuff. It’s cool to see the things you find on Elvis
So that’s where the chapel is. I had wondered
