as a kid my mom and aunt took me to the cemetery and mausoleum to see Elvis. I like to think there wasn’t many people that went to visit Elvis at the cemetery. Then we were one of the first to tour Graceland when it was opened for tours. It’s nothing now like it was then. We watched a slide show in the racket ball room and looked at his cars which were still parked in the rear of Graceland. I stood beside the black Stutz and looked in at the Gold trim. My dad was a police body guard for Elvis when he performed the record number of concerts in Huntsville. My mom knows about everything Elvis and my dad rode elevators and walked with him and he told me just last week he could have gotten pictures easy but his job was to keep Elvis safe. He told me he asked Elvis how can he keep his pace of life going as he does…. Elvis simply told him that “ t’s a job just like yours, I just do my job and move on”. My dad still talks about how down to earth he was. Elvis told my dad that he would save my mom a scarf …. After the show he saw my dad and told him a fan pulled his last scarf off but would my mom be happy with a towel and an autograph. He wipes his face and head with a towel and gave it to my mom. She still has it and it has hair dye on it. He tried to sign a picture on the front but you could not see it, so he wrote a thing to my mom on the back and she still has it. My mom knows Ms Jacks who took you around Huntsville when you were here. Elvis was all I knew growing up. My mom and dad are both still alive and probably have stories I don’t know. I do remember when Elvis passed, my mom and aunt cried like it was their brother or a parent. That part I didn’t understand but I’ll never forget it.
Thank you Mr Spa guy for all of your efforts and research and attention to accuracy and facts rather than guessing like some others do when it comes to Elvis Presley, because I love the man very much I greatly appreciate your work ❤ thank you
Thanks to the employees who took part in these necessary works 🤝🤝🤝Billy filmed the renovation in January 2023. Probably, the mausoleum is now fully restored and functioning. Thank you Billy - for an interesting, exclusive issue
Spa Guy, great video ! You definitely deliver true Elvis facts to us that we never have heard before, we enjoy and appreciate. Also ,hopefully some day we will be able to see the pice of cement that ones was in Elvis Tomb. As every Monday morning you make our day! Thank You! Arrivederci!

Thank you for filming and allowing us to see exactly what you saw. It is very nice to get to see things thru your eyes that the rest of us would not be able to see!
Yeah Elvis and Gladys crypts should be sold because Elvis & Gladys aren't there anymore. They're at Graceland and that's where fans, friends, & family should pay their respects in my opinion
If not sold, perhaps a commemorative plaque is placed, and/or even photos of the original funeral, and it’s used as a low-key draw for other customers and Elvis historians.
Thank you Mr spa Guy.. but I was wondering as to why Elvis wasn't buried next to Gladys @ the meditation Garden? They could have moved Gladys Cliser to Elvis , & Vernon could have been buried on the other side of Elvis ,or on the side of Gladys. It just seems Elvis never got what he wanted . Instead they trashed him in a bookn& the EX WIFE did the same & bik pics & her latest priscilla movie, I don't know why shes not stopped. She's not a presley there is no presley blood running through her veins, & don't belong buried there, just another thing Elvis wouldn't want. Thank you for all your great videos.
Thank You Spa Guy & Trey Miller Enjoyed This and Seeing That It Is Getting Fixed Up . They Are Doing A Amazing Job. You Are So Nice To Bring This To All Of Us. Thank You So Very Much. 🤗❤️🤗
I think some fans are taking it a little too far if they are demanding that crypt remain unused simply because Elvis was there for a short time, especially if the estate no longer even owns it. They could probably auction it off for enough to pay for the current and future restorations!
Been a subscriber for a while & from one Elves s fan to another….this video was awesome! Loved in Memphis for 5 years & the people I met that knew &/or had a story about him was amazing. Met 2 of the Memphis Mafia in 1997. Great times!! Keep the vids coming!
Thanks for sharing Billy, was wondering about this place, went up there, and inside was in disrepair, glad they are restoring it. Hope you have a blessed day my friend..prayers😊👍💜🙏🇺🇸Bonnie
Spa Guy, another excellent video. If you had driven a few more feet up EP Blvd you would have come to Calvary Cemetary, right across the road from Forest Hill. Most of the relatives on my mother's side are buried in Calvary. The last funerals I went to was for my grandfather and great-aunt who both died Christmas night 1974. I just remember hearing that Elvis's mother was buried across the street, but I never went in to see it. I remember when Elvis died and was interred, me and some of my friends planned to go late at night to see his site but we changed our minds after all the media reports of the insanity that followed. I believe there were several attemps to steal his body. Some "folks" from out-of-town attempted to dynamite the building and steal his body for ransom. It was constant chaos and a couple of months later both Elvis and his mother were moved to Graceland.
Yes I have been in that cemetery.. There is a story that Elvis saw a Jesus statue in that cemetery that influenced him to create the one for Glady's grave..
Yes, they've restored the Forest Hill Mausoleum!! How wonderful!! I remember going in there when I first saw it in 2020. I was the only person in there. I couldn't believe how some parts of it were in such disrepair. Parts of the ceiling/walls were bad. It's a pretty decent sized Mausoleum. I'm from Chicagoland and went on one of Spa Guy and Trey's tours during Elvis Week a couple of years ago. It was great!! I hope to see you again in the near future Billy and Trey.
Thanks for a great video Spaguy and Trey - love learning new things about Elvis and his life - what had always bothered me was I read somewhere that Elvis didn't want to be buried underground so why didn't Vernon have an above ground grave for Elvis like Ben and Lisa or maybe build a mausoleum within the grounds of Graceland and have them all in there. Also do you know if there was a specific reason for Elvis making his Will in March - do you think that he thought he may die soon as it was only 5 months later. Keep up the great work that you both do ⚡💛⭐
I don't think Elvis planned to die the timing of the will was just a coincidence.. I have heard the same thing about being buried but Vernon was really bothered by Gladys grave being vandalized so he did what he felt was the safest thing..
Very interesting. Enjoyed the drive up to the mausoleum, knowing Elvis drove some of that road to visit with his mom, but it was also the route the funeral procession carried him. 😢 I hope to visit there one day.
Great video Billy and Trey Very interesting info around Elvis burial and Gladys in that mausoleum! I didn’t know the flag was offered but not used by Vernon’s request of the red roses instead! Huge cemetery and glad they’re restoring that mausoleum! I want to read that book now the King is Dead! Thanks again Billy! 👍💕🏛️🪦⚰️

If so how can I get it I would love to read it. I remember during summer they would show his movies I would watch them with my mom. I wish they would show them now instead of the junk on tv.
Hi Spa Guy. I just love your videos. They’re always so entertaining, informative and meticulously researched. This one was particularly fascinating. I visited Graceland in November of 2022 for the first time and also the mausoleum Elvis was originally interred in. I was very shocked quite honestly at the state of disrepair it was in. It was actually locked at the time so we couldn’t enter it. I’m so glad to hear it has since been restored to its original condition. Please keep up the great work on your Elvis videos! I plan on returning to Memphis and Graceland sometime in the future. I would so love to meet you and see the “grey ghost!”Love from Maine.❤
I did find Bill Black’s gravesite. It’s Southeast of the back of the mausoleum. It seemed at that time it was near some trees towards to far back area.
Thank you for all the content you’ve given all of us. Very informative. However, I’d have to disagree about auctioning off those crypts. It’s a part of history. Many fans still go there (myself included) to remember that part of Elvis’ history. 😊
I am still curious how the pallbearers carrying Elvis's coffin made it around that corner of the chapel. They would have had to lift the coffin over the pews and make a sharp turn. Having been a pallbearer the just seems incredibly difficult. Thanks for doing this.
It is wider that you think and designed for caskets to be maneuvered around.. I imagine they placed it on a roll cart once inside because I think they had something in the chapel area there before moving him to the crypt..
Within the timeframe of Elvis being in that mausoleum, my family made a trip to Tupelo Mississippi, where we met Elvis‘s fifth grade teacher named Mrs. Grimes she brought us into her home and told us a few stories about Elvis and told us the story of her teaching him the song old shep. We recorded the entire conversation, however, like an idiot I recorded over it. I get grief until this day from my brothers. We also went to the cemetery. Of course we didn’t have access to it.

This is wonderful that they are fixing this up. Billy if Elvis was buried with his mom here, why wasn’t he next to his mom at Graceland?
