This pioneer amp, they tend to break apart an internal ground mother board print that switches the big transformers. That blink light suggests that, or a dead output transistor that has internally shotted out link the 3 points of connection on the board. So it cannot switch up, because it will cause damage to the next circuit.
Blue Led Indicator bulb of my Pioneer GM D-9601 Class-D Car Amplifier starts to Blink after playing two 12" Sub Woofers for one hours & the woofers starts distorting/clipping & produce disturbed sound. I am using 12V 50 amp SMPS to power that Car Amplifier at home & that Amplifier has three fuses each of 40 amp. Plz suggest how to fix this issue ?
I'm not sure but gonna guess yours is getting hot after playing for one hour. The first thing I'd try is putting a fan on it or getting it some better ventilation. Maybe mount it with the cooling fins going up and down so convection can cool it better.
Check your wiring or something is wrong with the power or output section of that amplifier. In my country they work for over 10 hours a day, being wired down to 1ohm and pushed to the limit at 13v. They have no fan. They don't heat up that much to engage thermal protection. Measure your impendance and see what your getting in parallel connection.
I have a pioneer 1000 watt amp that was working just fine and then all of a sudden it just stopped working no power no blown fuses not burnt smell just need some info
Need thicker wire, your wire too thin and can cause a fire , they get really hot , so you need 8 gauge wires , I got super thick wire , and I get more bass
Someone help! :( My AMP and sub woofer where working perfectly fine and all I did was take of all the wires to organise them better and when putting them back on, my power light is flashing :( I notice that when the bass is supposed to hit, it flashes but when the bass is not supposed to hit, it stays solid? There is no bass from the sub woofer :( What shall I do?
That sounds a lot like the problem I had! Do you have a multimeter to ohm out your wiring and speaker? Or another sub that you can try hooking to your amp?
Fixed.. the speaker wires from the shb woofers side where loose or not connected properly? I just took the cables of and stripped them again.. when putting them back on.. everything started working again? So weird but it works now :) thanks for the help.
You should have no voltage to the remote when the car/ radio is off. If you have an aftermarket stereo, it will have a blue wire for power antenna/amp that is switched when the head unit is on. I would use that wire or put a toggle on your remote wire lead. It is not good for your amp to be in the "on" state at all times. That could have been what burned up your sub, or maybe that was some hardcore Skrillex bumping!
Yup, trippin. lol I got the same amp pushing a 12” type R, for the last 4 years. It’s a great amp for what it is and the cost. If it can’t do what it tryin to do with it....then the got the wrong amp. In no way does it “suck” Mine hasn’t blown either lmao. It also not getting any ventilation. Barely gets hot.🙂👍

what's your gain set at maybe clipping.

Did you bridge the subwoofer. I have the same amp and subwoofers. Do you have one sub or two?
Yes, it is bridged, just one woofer. You can see how it is hooked at 2:17
RyanDale311 yeah just saw that

Must be the ground, have you found the problem yet ?
I have these amp and the power light is always on even when the car isn't. Is this a problem?
Zach Saxe yeah connect your remote wire elsewhere
I finally figured it out today lol. My stereo had a special wire for it
@@MegaBluecream lol smh
your speaker wires are small and the pioneer is reading 3 ohms BC u r testing it with wight on the sub the sub should be facing up to get good reading

fix your ground wire

My Fosgate prime r1200-10 blinks blue to red with no sound, and my sub goes up and down. Any ideas anyone?
Devin Day check your subs conection load that amplifier is stable @1ohm
do you know the size of these power screws? thanks
Size 8. Buy A battery lug of 16 by 8.

bmitw Thanks Mike! I think it was the Skrillex playing at full volume that burned it up hahaha
CHECK YOUR GROUND!!
wrong sub
that amp sucks
Miguel Sanchez bro my amp keeps on getting warm and I don't know what to do
Trippin. I have that exact amp. And it’s worked well for the past 4 years. Mine is just now starting to have this blinking issue
Had for 4 years no probs , when it gets hotter I just let my seat down and put ac on and it cools down
