Hi Kevin, there is an early 1980's Airgun World magazine that covered this rifle in their monthly gun test piece and its branded as the 'Webley Ranger'. The one rifle I'd love for you to cover is the 'Beeman C1 carbine, now that was a 'Webley' made gun that is quite collectable now. Great video by the way. Thankyou.
Yes, I was offered by Webley as the Ranger. I just picked up a C1 Carbine. Watch for a video in the not too distant future. Thanks for watching, my friend.
Not THAT is a lovely little rifle! Love my Weihrauch HW30, but that Erma is fun at a different level! In the late 1980's, I was stationed at the U.S. Coast Guard Station at Castle Hill, in Newport, R.I., and I spent plenty of time traveling around the state, especially in the rural areas. Absolutely beautiful state! You are a lucky dude!
That’s what we all wanted in the daisy lever action , what beautiful air rifle . I had a lever marlin and Winchester in 22 cal No rollercoaster 🎢 for me either Kevin. 😮
Dear Kevin What a great little rifle...and a very novel mechanism... I've never seen the Webley version here in the UK...but it's on my radar now! Regards
Wow kevin, perfect plinking Air Rifle, nice video as always my American Air Gun Friend. Enjoy your new purchase, hopefully see you in a fortnight with a new video, take care kevin
Hi Kevin! I remember the Erma from my childhood and wish i had a pearl like that today. Maybe you should give it a bit of maintenance before it stops working..... To find parts will be very difficult or even impossible. Congratulations my friend 👌
Hi Ron. I think that I'll leave this one alone unless it does stop working. I'd prefer to leave it " un-touched" if I can. Thanks as always, my friend.
Really cool old rifle Kevin...yet another I never knew existed 👍 😁 🍻 I doubt it, but I wonder if the late Louis Imperato (founder of Henry Repeating Arms & father of their current CEO) had anything to do with its design? I pose that question because, as I understand it, Louis Imperato designed the lever and pump action rimfire rifles for Erma that were imported by Erma themselves, as well as Ithaca, Iver Johnson, and possibly others. This air rifle is a spitting image of their basic .22 lever action repeating rifle from everything you have shown 👍 If you've ever seen a standard Henry H001 levergun or one of their first generation pumps, they look identical to their Erma counterparts; the guns are, for all intents and purposes, the same thing. I can't say which is built better, Henry or Erma, but I remember handling an Erma .22 lever some years ago, and it looked & felt exactly like my first Henry H001 😅🤔😁🍻 Thanks as always for the informative & enjoyable content my friend 🙂👍🍻
I don't think that they were going for power with this one. I think they were trying to produce a high-quality, lever action, plunker. You are correct, however. The rifle is already a little awkward to cock. Thanks for watching, my friend.
i now myn frend ! But concetrd also i was 14 yaers when i was worcking, almoost no school walking .myn fhater was to sick om working greethings koenraad
I would be interested to know what ELG means. I mean "single-shot rifle" but that's just a guess. The fact that it had to compete with the Daisy Raider is pretty tough.
Hi, Orville. I have no plans to open the rifle up. To be truthful, it won't see much use. I bought this as a collectible. Thanks for watching, myfriend. .
There's always the chance that a little lubricant is present in the compression chamber. It's possible that the gentleman who I purchased it from added some oil.

Those Germans sure know how to manufacture quality air rifles
Agreed, my friend.
Sometimes it's about the look and not so much the performance. The fact that it was reasonably accurate is a plus. Great review
Thanks as always, my friend.
I have the ERMA .22LR lever action which is great fun.....Henry lever guns are based on the ERMA & they bought all of ERMA's tooling when ERMA closed.
Yes, Erma are rather well known for their lever action firearms.
Thanks for watching.
That is a very nice find. I didn't even know they existed. I am 60 and thought I had seen them all. Thanks for sharing.
They are indeed few and far between. I'll treasure this one, for sure. Thanks for watching.

Thanks, Mike. It is a beautiful state. Good things do indeed come in small packages, whether they be air rifles or states.😊
Lever action guns are my favorite of all, awesome to is one in an air rifle that looks like the real thing !

What a little ripper from a bygone era. I wonder how many of these if any made it to Australia.
Now, there's a question that I wouldn't have a clue as to how to answer. Thanks as always, my friend.
What a great rifle 😊

Lots of great info, Nate. Thank you. I'm certain that you're on to something.
hola kevin, bonito rifle y muy buen video.
Thank you, my friend.
Thanks Kevin, never heard of them until this, I suppose if they made them more powerful they would be difficult to cock?

I would guess it means Erna Lever Gun, makes sense.😊
@@ErickvdK A German advertisement says Lever-Action-Einzellader. 🤷♂
Sorry, my friend, but I'm afraid that I don't know the answer to that one.
@@razor1962 Hello, how are you....I found out, it's simply called Erma Luftgewehr.
KEVIN: With an older springer such as this Erma, how often to you open it up for cleaning and lubrication? Thanks, Orvil Hazelton
Hi, Orville. I have no plans to open the rifle up. To be truthful, it won't see much use. I bought this as a collectible.

Thanks, and yes, I'll be watching. Orvil Hazelton
Another great video. Just curious. How can a rifle diesel if you do not tinker with the pellet? Not that I am going to try it.
