- Some more progress with this one. Doing a widebody conversion using the Iceman Collections kit with the Revell 1971 Mach1 Mustang kit. Interior is mostly assembled and painting the speakers.
Iceman Collections: Here is the link to the kit I bought. This project is not sponsored by Iceman, I am doing this for my own enjoyment. icemancollections.com/product.... And the engine: icemancollections.com/product...

Coming along really nicely! I took a Molotow paint pen, cracked the tip off and emptied into an empty Tamiya paint bottle. That way I can just shake it up and dip my paint brush right into it. So far, it's been in the bottle for about 5 months with no loss of gloss.
Sounds great! Thanks!
the build is looking great so far! thanks for the video!!
Glad you like it!
The build is coming along nicely!! I also do a lot of chrome detailing by brush painting Molotow. I purchased a Molotow refill and, after vigorously shaking the tube, simply put some in a paint cup.
I have thought about doing just that!
Thats looking great! Neat technique applying the Molotow. Thanks for sharing.
You bet
Looking good brother! I do that with the Molotow pens myself with interior trim and so forth. Comes in handy. Thanks for sharing.
No problem 👍 Works great doesn’t it.
Amazing work. Can't wait to see it finished
You and me both! Thanks!
Very nice work getting the speakers installed. Lately, I have been using the Green Stuff World brushable chrome, and have really been pleased with the results. But, brushing with Molotov is a good idea as well. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! I’m not familiar with that stuff.
@@TheMuscleCarModeler I really like it. I just squeeze out a couple of drops into a soda lid and use a very small brush like you do. Oh yeah, be sure to shake the bottle before use.
I like the color that body very very cool I’m actually just started my wide body. Build
Thanks. Enjoy it!
Monumental build guy.👍👍👍

Looking GOODER Buddy But No Seatbelts ?? Thanks For sharing n Have a Blessed Wknd 🙏🤗 Gary.
I think I have some red material but don’t know yet.
Interesting way to use the liquid chrome pen. I like it. I'm sorry I was pronouncing your name wrong it the video I tagged you in. Hope you understand.
Thanks. Not a problem as it happens all the time. Growing up here in Phoenix area and having lots of Mexican descendants here and being a white guy named Raoul (French spelling but pronounced Ral) and the common spelling is Raul (Spanish variant). Once I got passed the name, I would usually hear "But you're white?"
@@TheMuscleCarModeler But your white! Cracked me up. My favorite singer is Raul Malo from the mavericks. He is Cuban American. I can never get the pronunciation right lol.
Looks great, like all the mods that you're adding wondering about the speakers where did you 3d print them from
I don't have a printer but got them from Texas 3D Customs. tx3dcustoms.com/products/copy-of-mtx-9515-subwoofer?_pos=4&_sid=efffec0f9&_ss=r
Darn, I wish I knew this trick with the Molotow paint before trying to paint the dashboard on my latest project. I was using a different brand of paint pen that somehow seeped through the color coat, through the primer, and ruined the plastic underneath, whoops! Apparently, whatever is in that paint isn't good for plastics and not suitable for modelling. I should really get myself a Molotow chrome pen or two.
Yes. Some paints are meant to etch onto the surface and can damage your model.
What do you use to clean the brush with after.
Just my Testor’s brush cleaner but I was told lacquer thinner works best on this chrome.
What color will the amps be?😊
I haven’t decided. The amps are old school Orion. The SX series are black and the HCCAs were anodized red. I own some HCCAs myself and love the red color but hard to do. Many get polished out in chrome. Wish I had the decals to put the logos on them.
@@TheMuscleCarModeler can you get some decal paper and find the logo, scale it, and print them? Would be something to think about
The decals would have to be done in silver on them. The amps from the factory are anodized red or black. Then machined for the brand and model number right into the aluminum. It's really cool but hard to do in scale and are also pretty small. Here is a reference pic of them. www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/649058130-orion_hcca_225_and_hcca_250/images/571693/
@@TheMuscleCarModeler oh yes. I can see the difficulty. Letters that thin would almost be sure to be brittle and come apart. Maybe a different brand!! LOL
Thanks for your interaction
Where did you get the subs?

Lookin so good man! I'm thinking you made the right decision to go black trim. Keep it up , the finish line is coming fast!!
Thanks. It’s getting closer!
