People will not give her credit and always have something negative to say about her. Even in her prime in the 70's people hated on her. You just can't deny the VOICE!
people that are really into her know she is jazz, funk, fusion, eclectic mix with some really beautiful ballads...she could sing a menu and it would be smokin'-she is just awesome in everyway.

She’s so damn cool and sexy herself. It’s rare. So, it don’t matter. The haters are still hating and she’s still Chaka Khan. It takes class to know class. But, in the end, I don’t care what class you put them in. It don’t take long to call the roll.
When I first saw her in concert in 75 it was instant love. She was a beast back then with Rufus and she literally had me in awe of her vocal prowess. Since 75 I have seen her like 3 other times and she was always on her A game. She is an American Treasure and a Living Legend. A fan for life.❤️

There's so many, too many singers, to mention that are "Underrated", and in the Music Industry, everyone is not going to be big. However, from my vantage point, the two singers, who are awesome and didn't make it big... Lisa Fischer and Regina Belle. Also, I always got to give up to Chaka Khan for helping so many singers and people in general. She's a good friend of mine and I love her dearly. Take care 💋

funny thing is that Luther was already bringing it goin back to his Sesame St. appearance back in 69 as part of the group Listen My Brother. So by the time he was doing bkgds with Bowie in 74, at the same time Chaka had just been brought into Rufus courtesy of Paulette McWilliams who left the group but recommended that Chaka replace her. It was only a matter of time before they would hook up.
I remember I was about 12 purchasing the How Can I Ease the Pain single! I took my little coins and got it because Lisa's voice was unlike anything I'd ever heard! ❤️
