    I am also working on a very large cross stitch which I started at least 8 years ago! I am making myself stop for an hour every day and working solely on that and it’s growing fast! It is about 80% done! Amazing what you can do if you focus! I love your Battenberg blanket start! That crochet pattern is really pretty- perhaps I should get back into crochet too? X

    Great podcast Ellie! I agree with others here, your top does look fantastic and doesn't seem to need any extra ties on the side. It fits perfectly. Loved seeing your updates and hearing your suggestions 😊 Brilliant Q&A's!
    Any chance of you showcasing past yarn club sets on an upcoming podcast video or posting a pic on your website? I'm curious to see an example of both the film club and song club. Have a fantastic week Ellie, we'll see you again soon xxoo 😀

    Looks great... I agree... Great as is. I'd like a little longer sleeve... I'm a little older, so it helps cover a bit. I'm going to look around your site for a pattern, or find a shirt that I can wear, and cut one from that.

    Hi Ellie great podcast as always. When I cross stitch and I can't use the loop method start I use the pin stitch method. It is brilliant and you can do it with aida. There are lots of tutorials on here (that's what I used).
    Take care xxx 🌼🌷📚🧶🪡🧵🌼

    • @crafthousemagic
      @crafthousemagic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Davina! I use pin stitch as well, but the I am using for the bookmark isn’t woven like Aida I have used before and pin stitch is way more fiddly. It is harder to get between the fibres for some reason x x

    Ellie, I love the top you’re wearing!! The color is gorgeous and is so pretty on you!! Is it knit or gauze? It’s hard to tell. The newest top is beautiful too and looks perfect on you!! The blanket is so cozy and wonderful!!! Everything you create is just amazing!!!

    The tee shirt came out wonderfully, I’d also like to ask about a straight needle set for socks (I always snap the wooden ones in half) and would enjoy a double point set and or interchangeable set.

    For the I cord bind off on your cozy memories blanket are you using one color or are you making a magic loop ball from your leftover yarn?

    • @crafthousemagic
      @crafthousemagic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t use magic knot with knitting projects as I think the knot tends to show too much. I find it is fine with crochet. I am going to use little minis though x

    Ellie how did you learn to sew. Have you any absolute beginner recommendations as l bought a sewing machine nearly a year ago and l still have not used it

    • @crafthousemagic
      @crafthousemagic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I learnt to sew in my early teens. I would recommend starting with stable cotton fabrics. Perhaps a small buttoned purse or a cushion cover? I would find something simple that you fancy making. Usually patterns and tutorials tell you whether they are suitable for beginners. Or you can ask the designer x x
