I love swimming but the stress on the skin and hair is real! I would highly recommend the Malibu C swimmer's wellness shampoo (haven't tried the conditioner). It helps nutralise that chlorine smell and it's pretty mild.
I love when you drop 3 videos in a week!🥰 I tried the Cerave moisturising cream for the first time yesterday and can’t believe I’ve been sleeping on it! It’s got that beautiful occlusive but slightly whipped texture that I love in my moisturisers and best of all is that it’s so cost effective and slightly matte for my oily skin. My body skin feels nourished without that sticky feeling. It’s such a great feeling when you find a product that works for you.
Super helpful video! This is gonna be great for the summer time when I'm more likely to go swimming. And k18 is amazing! I don't have color-treated hair, but I do have a lot of mechanical damage and I saw huge improvements after using it for the past 3 months.
Thanks for this ☺️ you're the first person I've seen do a video on this and I've been researching a while. I started swimming as we came out of lockdown and they wouldn't let us use showers!! It is so much better having them back. My gut instinct to barrier first and then hydrate and treatment late was right 👍☺️ I have been using a great coconut hair mask from Garnier after first having the Chlorine turning it to straw. I'm definitely thinking of adding more anti-oxidants in my routine for the future - like the pycnogenol 😊
Swimming is so good for you, I love it. Not only the exercise but the relaxing benefits of just being in water. Take time to float. And maybe there are natural bodies of water you can swim in in the Summer to avoid that nasty chlorine.
Hi Kelly although I love many of the products mentioned especially the Niod MG, both the cereve and liquid gold don't work for me. I recently got a bottle of the liquid gold from the US to here in the UK. I was really excited and all the hype had got to me - oh dear it caused a massive reaction during my patch testing process. I can tolerate it on the body occasionally, but nowhere near the face or neck. I'm ultra sensitive with both rosacea and eczema, so it may just be my skin. I haven't tried sea buckthorn before so it may be that, as nothing else on the INCI list is new to me. To all those with ultra sensitive skin just be cautious and as with anything patch test first. Cereve burns/stings my skin and isn't for me either. Just thought I'd mention the huge reaction I had after all the hype and excitement to try it. Best wishes.
Lorraine Mcgillivray oh I’m so sorry about the liquid gold and you waited such a long time for it to arrive from overseas, with it been such a popular product I was sure it was going to work for our skin, so I guess I won’t be buying it now as you know I have extremely reactive skin too, and because of you wisely advise I now always extensively test ever product over days sometime weeks before I bring it into my skincare routine. I do have several bottle of the ordinary oils one being the sea buckthorn oil that I haven’t tried yet and am apprehensive now. Anyway it’s always a pleasure talking to you Lorraine you give sound advise and have really help my skin come a long way and am always happy to read and see you in the comments section. Wishing you the very best and keep up the good work 😊
@@monicaduncan7109 Hi Monica it was such a disappointment lol. A lot of the youtubers I watch are constantly singing it's praises and you wouldn't believe the saga of getting it - three trips across the Atlantic and two over the Pacific for this one bottle of liquid gold!. A very well travelled bottle all in all. I'm glad my suggestions help you, but we are all different and it may be worth trying the sea buckthorn (as you already have it on hand). After all it may work for you and if it does then you might be ok with the liquid gold. i'm glad I didn't pay £15 postage on top of the purchase price to try it, especially as it was such an major fail for me. I'm going to try the Paula's choice omega line instead, as it has the good things in the LG without the sea buckthorn. My skin is super finnicky and even pure aloe gel irritates me. I can use aloe in small amounts formulated into a product, but not the 99.9% pure gel. In all honesty many plant extracts are problematic for me tbh. I do like the Niod MG, but as with anything patch test first. I'm using that under the Aveeno calm and restore serum right now. For moisturiser I'm using Avene at the moment and I like both the cicalfate mentioned, as well as the LRP cicaplast also mentioned. I hope that helps Monica and best wishes to you. x
I teach swim lessons during the summer. I’m in the sun and water most of the day. This will be the first summer using tretinoin. I’m nervous about how my skin is going to react. I bought Cancer Council sunscreen to use. Do you have any other recommendations to protect my skin?
Hi Kelly I have acne prone comedogenic dehydrated combo skin that changes with the season of New Zealand. I would like your opinion of my serum stage choice, I’m undecided between Purito: Centella unscented serum, Benton: Snail bee high content essence and Isntree: Green tea fresh serum. For spring time when theres still cold winds, but not dry cold of winter, so similar temperatures or slightly warmer and no more drying cold. What would you recommend and why please.
Same here. I would definitely get lots of closed comedones, whiteheads and probably fungal acne with this these extra layers... scared to think of it -.-
Um girl, I hope you're washing your hands in between putting haircare and skincare products. Also, maybe remove the earrings before moisturizing them as the buildup inside can get nasty.
You in that swim cap and goggles. Cutest thing I've seen in ages. So down to earth and relatable. Love your delivery and speaking style

Forget the pool, girl you need to come to Hawaii!! I love all of your get ready videos!
You are so beautiful and such an inspiration Kelly ❤️
Super cute video! U are so wholesome it's quite refreshing. Them goggles 💪😆
Thank you!! 😁
Thanks, Kelly. Please post a list of products mentioned here in “More.”❤
Will you be doing a top 10 pick of skincare products with honey & propolis?
Hello! If you do a quick TH-cam search you'll probably find all of her propolis videos. I'm pretty sure she's done at least a top 5 on propolis.

It's the only exercise I can do properly without my joints complaining too much ☺️ it's such a shame the chlorine is so harsh.

I'm sensitive roseacea prone so I patch test EVERYTHING! 👍
I would probably have a reaction to that Stratia product, by getting clogged pores. Anything with oils is a no-go for me.

Are there any fragrance free shampoo conditioner options with tsubaki?(Sensitive scalp acne prone !)❤️

Is a salt water pool less offensive to the skin than a chlorinated pool?
Hi Kelly. Do you have any recommendations for water resistant sunscreens?
Looking good, Kelly! Swimming really agrees with you. 🙂
Thank you, I'm just enjoying the process of getting stronger and a little faster each time!

Great Video Kelly
Thank you, always appreciate all your support! 💕
Can you apply sunscreen before aquaphor?
You could but wait at least 10-20 minutes to ensure your SPF is dry!
Listen, my skin completly got dehydratet after swimming. I am struggeling with this months after.
My hairdresser told me to oil (coconut ) my hair before swimming :) It did help.
That's another great way to help stop the chlorine from penetrating too much into the hair, plus your hair must be so conditioned from that! 😍
excellent video
I had skin rashes after swimming, but my friend recommended Elemnt Sports Science's Post-Swim Shower Gel, which worked wonders
That niod serum looks so delicious-makes ne wanna eat it🌚
Omg it's so yummy!
@@KellyDriscoll 😂😂
Thank you, I stopped swimming because I couldn't figure out how to keep my skin safe. Combo to dry with acne AND sensitive skin here😩
So glad this was helpful and maybe will help you get back in the pool! It's a bit of extra work but working well for me. Good luck! 💖
My skin could never handle this much 😭
Everyone's skin is different. my skin doesn't like so little so I just give it what it craves!
@@KellyDriscoll I love the effort you give to explain all of them 🥰🥰🥰
