    I bought the Dr Ceuracle Kombucha Tea Essence on your recommendation last year and it instantly became a holy grail for me! It's one of the only non-active products I've tried that immediately calms my redness! 😊
    I have rosacea and use 15% AA to treat it, but somehow this essence instantly minimises the redness and helps with my flushing.
    It's also the best biphase and milky essence I've tried compared to the other comparable alternatives like Laniege Cream Skin (felt oily/greasy and like it just sat on top of my skin) and the Mary & May Blackberry Essence (my second favourite and top pick for winter because it's a bit heavier and more moisturising while actually sinking into the skin).

    SK11 by far is my favorite essence ever , I have been using it for 2 years straight everyday and it definitely has made a difference it completely got rid of the hypopegiment I had on my forehead that nothing else touched and the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks on top of the glow and Xtra hydration. I am also using Amorapacific green tea essence, I use the DrC , I have the Farmacy honey glow but haven't given it much of a chance and I have not tried the probio cica one yet and I haven't tried the missha 5x in years so I don't remember what I think about it . Another essence like product I have been loving is the Sara de rue x Gothemista ginsing essence and the Violette FR bum bum milk it's different and really gives u added moisture and hydration without being super heavy but u can feel inside ur skin, it has bitch sap milk in it .

    my favourite essences are the dr ceuracle one and the cosrx galactomyces essence! i find myself coming back to it and it's basically been in my routines for 5 years straight. it really helps to make my skin feel healthier and smoother and even though it's thicker than a toner i still like using it as a first essence step, i feel like the viscosity helps to build up the toner's hydration

    I personally am loving the 😊HaruHaru black rice probiotics barrier essence right now!! And you are totally right about applying it to damp skin as opposed to dry skin. It’ll just sit there on dry skin, but man, my skin feels so hydrated after using a hydrating toner first. I also ❤ the Dr. Ceuracle vkt essence & the Blackberry cream essence by Mary & May😊. My skin type is mature & normal leaning dry.

    I am using the haru haru one at the moment, just started using it a few days ago and my dry skin loves it. I used the vegan kombucha one back in 2022 and liked that as well but it is too expensive for me to repurchase, same with the MIssha one which was one of the first essences I used. I will probably never be able to afford SKII in my lifetime. The Farmacy one sounds interesting, Farmacy and Glow Recipe are the only two Sephora brands I like albeit their high price so might check that out in a sale at some point

    Love skii and haruharu!
    Ok, now for some hate on dr cerucle: it is simultaneously not moisturizing enough, and leaves my skin too oily up top. And i have combo/dry skin that layers the haruharu essence multiple times 😮
    Also, i have chemistry bias against biphase products (after finishing a whole bottle of the dr cerucle) - why do i need to add another shaking step to my skincare routine?? It's already long enough. The formulators were just too lazy to find the right solvent that would combine the hydrophilic and lipophilic ingredients. So they make the consumer work more and market it as fun. 😂 sorry, not falling for it.

    I'm currently using and loving the Missha 5x essence! I noticed my dryness disappeared too and now I'm more of a balanced skin type. I wonder if Missha helped or if it's the combination of everything else LOL
    Question: do we treat dark spots in the same way as hyperpigmentation?

    • @KellyDriscoll
      @KellyDriscoll  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The missha really helps your whole routine! Are the dark spots from acne or the sun, or something else? Different active ingredients can work better for sun damage or melasma.

    • @danielac5090

    I still don't understand how the SK-11 can be worth so much money. When you say it works quickly, how long is that? If your skin needs help and you use it, are the results overnight or after a week? And are there no other less expensive products that can produce those effects if used in combination? i.e., could using 2 or 3 products together that would come close to it? Do you have any before and afters? I am just really skeptical. Thanks! I really enjoy your videos! ❤

    • @lindseystein9676
      @lindseystein9676 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Personally I don’t think it’s worth the price because there are several alternatives with VERY similar ingredients (arguably some better formulas) made by Korean brands. Missha (there are a few others) makes multiple toners and essences that are almost exact dupes of SK-II. When SK-II first came out there weren’t as many comparable products as there are now.

    • @lindseystein9676
      @lindseystein9676 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      If you want something very close to SK-II you should try mixoon’s galactomyces essence or the toner. They’re both really good and it’s not going to hurt your wallet lol. Not to knock anyone who uses expensive skincare, though

    What hydrating toner do you reccomend to go along with the haruharu wonder essence? Is it too much to use both dr ceuracle and haruharu? Or farmacy honey milk with haruharu?

  • @lorainemcgillivray77
    @lorainemcgillivray77 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Hi Kelly I really like the Haruharu I bought fairly recently for my extremely dry rosacea and eczema prone skin in Scotland in Winter 😂🥶🥶🥶. The Dr Ceuracle isn't for me. I tried it a few years ago and my skin had a reaction to it on first use. Sometimes formulation is critical with rosacea even if the INCI list looks fine. I like the Mary and May as an alternative to that one btw. I haven't used the Missha in a long time but I did like it and memory inspired me to order the enriched version 😂. I haven't tried the SK11 - it's just not in my budget and what if I love it and can't repurchase? Best not to try😂. Best wishes x
    Ps I still like the jin jung sung essence and omega "serum" that I use as a thicker essence.

    Complicated to my mind. At night I use the Missha Time Revolution Night Repair, and during the day, I have a co q10 toner, and the Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence. My Question IS: I plan on buying the SK II finally, to see what all the fuss is about. Would I use the SK II Essence once a day in the am? Because of cost, I think I'd like to use the SK II during the day only.
    Have you ever used the Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 Lotion? Its right up there in status as the SK II.

    I really wish beauty influencers were more aware of the dangers of using fermented products with people who have Cushing's syndrome/high cortisol levels and who are histamine intolerant/high histamine levels. These two conditions usually occur together. Fermented foods (like sauerkraut) are typically excellent for gut health, however people who are histamine intolerant can go into anaphylactic shock after eating fermented foods (this happened to me and I nearly died). It's no different than a reaction someone with a shellfish allergy would experience after eating shellfish. Would it be appropriate to recommend someone with a shellfish allergy apply shellfish to their skin? No, of course not. This same logic also applies when recommending fermented beauty products to those who are histamine intolerant. I personally have always experienced skin redness, irritation, and inflammation whenever using beauty products with fermented ingredients. People, especially beauty influencers, need to be made aware of this issue, and use caution whenever recommending beauty products that contain fermented ingredients.

    • @Joannabanana1989
      @Joannabanana1989 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I have MCAS but dont expect influencers to understand this condition. You just have to research everything you use in your skincare routine. I do think it is helpful to bring awareness to this condition but don’t think many influencers have this/are sharing info on it. It is a niche community on the internet!

    • @davidsotir4318
      @davidsotir4318 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      That's an interesting point. I'm on a low histamine diet but never considered that fermented skincare would act externally on the skin the same way it acts in the gut. In fact, when I used SKII I would often receive compliments on my skin. Unfortunately it's not an exact science (yet).
