Most people who actually love art know that imperfections are a part of it and what gives it character, what makes it human. Not everything has to be squeaky clean perfect, you know :) So don't stress about it too much, you're doing great. Especially since this is just the training wheel phase. I think we can live with a few scuffs here and there lol. Keep doing what you're doing and best wishes to you going forward.

I love this so much! I just found you and I immediately had to subscribe. The realness that you portray with the wins that are huge to you but might be small to others puts it into perspective for me. I’ve wanted to pursue this path and tried momentarily during COVID lock down but I was comparing my small wins and my set backs to others huge wins and it created this mountain of defeat instead of turning it around to “I win is a win” like you! You give me so much inspiration to give it another try and dream big!!! Never doubt the algorithm! I'm also a 29 year old Vietnamese nurse and starting my art TH-cam channel 🫠 love your content and how open you are with the struggle 🥴 PS. For the registration mark issues, it's probably because of the shiny laminate covering. You can try covering the marks with a matte tape to decrease the reflection or go over the lines with white crayon. I personally cut the laminate to make sure it only covers the design and not the registration marks 🙂 hope this helps! Keep up the great work!! 💕

I'm 38...and I've had a second bout of what I call my 'mid-life' crisis. I've been in corporate, climbing the ladder for the last eleven years but recently, and before that for a short while in 2021, I've started questioning...everything. You're further ahead in your journey than me, both in terms of practical steps but also skill. I can't quote quit the job yet but I've signed up for beginner drawing classes and made an IG / other accounts to post my progress. I was never 'talented' as a kid, literally couldn't draw to save my life so as to why this is happening...is anyone's guess. In 2021, I ditched the idea quickly labeling it a 'childish whim'. Three years on, it's back and I'm taking it more seriously. Congrats ❤ You're doing so well and thank you for sharing and inspiring the rest of us 🎉

Quitting my job was not necessarily what I envisioned for myself this year and I hope I don’t romanticize it to make you feel like it’s a necessary step to pursue the arts. Honestly I love that you are so authentic! I am on my journey to start my own business and ofc I am afraid of failing as well. Especially because my current job is totally fine but still … something is lacking. So it feels even more risky because I actually could lose something that works out pretty well … I think I will start doing that art business next to my normal job and see how it will work out
I would never suggest for someone to completely quit a perfectly good job without starting their art business on the side first! I think that’s a great idea 😊 I initially went part-time to do more art before I quit. Excited for what’s to come for you! ❤️

You can cross check how often digital stickers sell on etsy, most people have digital planners (me included hehe) and constantly buy digital art. For full disclosure in case it may help ease some of your worries, I am a senior graphic designer and companies release imperfect products all the time. Then they either just delay the shipping of the product until it is 'perfect' or they update the shop listing at a moments notice without informing anyone (other than people inside the marketing team). I can't tell you the amount of times a printed product was updated but we don't have updated photography so I update the mockup in photoshop. I don't think all imperfections should prevent you from releasing a product; especially if the mockup can be edited for the listing launch. I've been doing art for years and I've always thought about making and selling my creations. I've felt a bit overwhelmed by it all and had no idea where to start.
@@kuroakikitsune I get the feeling! I’ve been taking art classes from elementary to college and it’s not until now that I went all-in! The reality is, you’re never going to feel completely ready, but the magic of it all is you learn as you go! Take it one day at a time and give yourself grace. Easier said than done obviously, but don’t let any of this intimidate you into not trying. You are absolutely capable of doing this thing 🫶
sometimes the portrait struggles to register if the lighting isn't enough for the machine. You can try turning the torch on your phone on and shining into the machine when registering.
Hey hun, I’m going through the same thing and was so frustrated with my silhouette but one fix that might help you register better is by placing matte tape on the registration marks , try it and lemme know ❤ good luck your doing amazing

PS. For the registration mark issues, it's probably because of the shiny laminate covering. You can try covering the marks with a matte tape to decrease the reflection or go over the lines with white crayon. I personally cut the laminate to make sure it only covers the design and not the registration marks 🙂 hope this helps!

I'm 38...and I've had a second bout of what I call my 'mid-life' crisis. I've been in corporate, climbing the ladder for the last eleven years but recently, and before that for a short while in 2021, I've started questioning...everything. You're further ahead in your journey than me, both in terms of practical steps but also skill. I can't quote quit the job yet but I've signed up for beginner drawing classes and made an IG / other accounts to post my progress. I was never 'talented' as a kid, literally couldn't draw to save my life so as to why this is happening...is anyone's guess. In 2021, I ditched the idea quickly labeling it a 'childish whim'. Three years on, it's back and I'm taking it more seriously. Congrats ❤ You're doing so well and thank you for sharing and inspiring the rest of us 🎉

Quitting my job was not necessarily what I envisioned for myself this year and I hope I don’t romanticize it to make you feel like it’s a necessary step to pursue the arts. Honestly I love that you are so authentic! I am on my journey to start my own business and ofc I am afraid of failing as well. Especially because my current job is totally fine but still … something is lacking. So it feels even more risky because I actually could lose something that works out pretty well … I think I will start doing that art business next to my normal job and see how it will work out
I would never suggest for someone to completely quit a perfectly good job without starting their art business on the side first! I think that’s a great idea 😊 I initially went part-time to do more art before I quit. Excited for what’s to come for you! ❤️

You can cross check how often digital stickers sell on etsy, most people have digital planners (me included hehe) and constantly buy digital art. For full disclosure in case it may help ease some of your worries, I am a senior graphic designer and companies release imperfect products all the time. Then they either just delay the shipping of the product until it is 'perfect' or they update the shop listing at a moments notice without informing anyone (other than people inside the marketing team). I can't tell you the amount of times a printed product was updated but we don't have updated photography so I update the mockup in photoshop. I don't think all imperfections should prevent you from releasing a product; especially if the mockup can be edited for the listing launch. I've been doing art for years and I've always thought about making and selling my creations. I've felt a bit overwhelmed by it all and had no idea where to start.
@@kuroakikitsune I get the feeling! I’ve been taking art classes from elementary to college and it’s not until now that I went all-in! The reality is, you’re never going to feel completely ready, but the magic of it all is you learn as you go! Take it one day at a time and give yourself grace. Easier said than done obviously, but don’t let any of this intimidate you into not trying. You are absolutely capable of doing this thing 🫶
sometimes the portrait struggles to register if the lighting isn't enough for the machine. You can try turning the torch on your phone on and shining into the machine when registering.

Hey hun, I’m going through the same thing and was so frustrated with my silhouette but one fix that might help you register better is by placing matte tape on the registration marks , try it and lemme know ❤ good luck your doing amazing
