I've been thinking of starting my own art youtube channel for the past 6 months too but I never got around to it. Seeing a new channel like yours pop up on my timeline reminded me that I should go ahead and start. Good luck with your art business!

Hi! I watched this video 3 weeks ago and I still remember you as it's a really cool first vlog. So I'm waiting for the second one, don't doubt in case you do and upload the next one, we are ready to watch :)
I think selling fanart is a great idea. I love seeing artists, who I already enjoy their style, make fanart. I also just recently decided to open an art small business. Good luck!
I don't recommend selling fan art because the copyright (you can be sued). If you want to do that check first with the company if they allow with a license to do that. If you try to open a shop on Etsy selling these type of products they will close your shop and block you to open any other shop to sell anything else.
@@NuriaSaladrigasLarroy That’s exactly right! which is why I’d like to lean towards selling my original stuff. I’m only interested in making fanart for media where the creators have explicitly said they don’t mind fanart being sold. I’m staying far away from people like Disney haha
Fair point but from what I’ve seen unless you’re making big bucks or your work could be confused for an offical product, no one cares. Just don’t base your whole business around a particular fandom and you should be fine. My 2 cents anyway 😊
Congrats! I literally just made a video about how you don't need a huge audience to grow your business and get sales! Your community will find you, post and they will come 💕
So excited to see your journey and congrats on starting your store! You're totally right about Etsy being a good place to start because there's an existing audience already! The only major con is that they take quite a lot in fees 😥💛
If you look at the lens instead of to the side, you will connect better with your audience. Love to be here at the start of your journey. Wishing you an amazing journey and can't wait to see your 100k sub video celebration! woot!
If you make long form videos, a good way to produce a bunch of short form is to then take the most interesting or informative clips and turn them into shorts and reels. Just grab the audio and add some snappy visuals of you producing your art and you’re good to go 👍
I am so glad TH-cam brought me to you! I have the same ambition as you and I can’t believe how much I’ve related to this video! I hope the best for you and I can’t wait to follow you on this journey as I do the same! I look forward to your shop 💞💞💞
So excited for you!! I've started selling my work but haven't gotten a good grip on posting/getting the audience on socials. The algorithm always has its ups and downs and I'm trying to figure it out all over again :,)
Omgsh so I've been on Etsy for a few months now and I just started filming horizontal vlogs. Seems like most folks are telling me that I should focus on vertical vlogs for short reels on IG and TikTok.. And it's honestly so daunting to have to vlog both orientations as someone who just wants to live their day "normally." But like you said, we have to market our work, so here we are! ANYWAYS, i'm glad I saw your channel! It's refreshing to see a new channel pop up so I feel like we can embark on this new journey together :)
I admire everyone that is able to take that risk of starting a new business/new carrer path. Feels very scary to me. I hope you find a lot of joy in your new job!! Good luck with everything you do!!❤
