Sad update: In this video, I said I’d close my shop to travel for the rest of my 20’s. However, we decided to cancel the trip to take care of my dog who went into critical condition a few days ago and the shop will be open to help with her medical bills. My dog went into an addisonian crisis unexpectedly and was hospitalized. She made it through, thank God 😭 However, she’s not quite mentally there and they can’t guarantee she’ll ever come back. She’s already a blind senior dog so it’s concerning. Please keep us in your prayers and if you have the funds to bless us financially, an order from my shop would mean the world ❤
I'm only JUST now deciding to pursue my artists dreams too (30 and 1/2 lol). I luckily gained some skills being an e-commerce entrepreneur in other ways. that said, numbers/metrics BUILD. think of it like bricks of a wall. one brick might feel like "too little" but you're building an entire structure. the full picture is so so hard to see sometimes. organic growth takes time, but it pays off. these videos will always be relevant to viewers, no matter what your 'launch views' are. its just the beginning. its so easy to not see that though, anxiety is a powerful force.

The vast range of emotions I felt while watching this is kind of mind blowing! ✨ I wanna hug you so bad~ While our self-discovery journeys will be lifelong, our 20s seem to be for asking those existential questions of “who the crap am I” and “what am I supposed to be doing??” In my 30s, those questions are starting to get answered. And while some of them are literally freaking terrifying, you do gain confidence just knowing you’re on the right path. You’re entering a beautiful time of life, and we’re in it with you! Listening to you while making some crafts 🥰 I'm a grad-waiting student, will finally finish college/univ and will officially march by next year. I'm low-key pressured to find job ASAP to help with family. Although I really really want to continue my small art business (went hiatus due to academic demands), my older sister does not support me doing art markets for now cos I'll also be reviewing for an upcoming medical board exam in the third quarter next year and it'll take a ton of me if I need to balance day job and reviewing. I mostly do handmade stuff (crochet, traditional painting, and calligraphy) so it really is time consuming to make stuff then juggling other responsibilities. Seeing you pursue art at that age, gives me assurance that someday, maybe someday, I can do too 🥺 Although time and age gives a bit of pressure to achieve these milestones in life (I'm nearing quarter life) I hope we will both thrive in the career we both chose to take. Hoping for the fast recovery of your dog and more sales for your shop!! 💗

And yes, it’s hard to get back into it, but with some dedication, my little community online grew. I've only been slowly working towards it this year, doing a couple of markets and attempting (and failing so far lol) to sell art prints on etsy... although now I hear Etsy is useless for digital prints :') so I made this channel in the hopes that one day I'll be brave enough to jump in and post videos and have them keep me accountable for making more art. Yet… ahah Its so hard to keep a consistent schedule on youtube because I have so many socials to post on! Bluesky, youtube, insta, x, twitch, tik tok, AND I have two accounts on almost each (art and cosplay/daily/non-art)!! It takes me so many hours to post every day on each, so I end up just posting shorts on youtube😢 but Ive had my account for about a year now and just reached 100 subs. Any tips on how to grow so that I one day dont have to worry so much about earning an income with my art😅?
@@chibichaoshop omg we LOVE an educated girlie. I am also part of the two degrees club looooool. On my shop launch video, I put a few tips there too and also a list of ideas you can use for short form. What I’d say is pick just a few platforms to prioritize and go hard on those. Once you feel like you’ve built a good community and have a hang of those few platforms, add one more. I don’t even post on my personal accounts anymore tbh. TH-cam long form is hard and it takes time. Took me a year to be where I am, but I’d say it made the biggest difference in my sales. Try your best to keep your content focused on just a few things so people know what to expect from you. Consistency on short form is everything so do whatever you can to maintain that. I started posting more b-roll and behind the scenes to be more consistent because if I only posted when I finished art, I’d only be able to post a few times a month. I look at trends and copy them if I’m ever running out of ideas. I’m no social media expert but I hope that helps! Feel free to ask me any other questions 🫶

@ awww I’m a little sister that’s obsessed with my older sister so this comment means a lot to me. I remember 19 being a really hard age. You have this pressure to know what you want to do for the rest of your life and invest tons of money in education when you might not be sure of who you want to be yet. My biggest regret was not enjoying that time of exploration more and putting too much pressure on myself. Please have fun on my behalf!! 🥰❤️

Hi, TH-cam recommended your channel to me. Thank you for the videos you make, I love love yapper artists like me. Listening to you while making some crafts 🥰 I'm a grad-waiting student, will finally finish college/univ and will officially march by next year. I'm low-key pressured to find job ASAP to help with family. Although I really really want to continue my small art business (went hiatus due to academic demands), my older sister does not support me doing art markets for now cos I'll also be reviewing for an upcoming medical board exam in the third quarter next year and it'll take a ton of me if I need to balance day job and reviewing. I mostly do handmade stuff (crochet, traditional painting, and calligraphy) so it really is time consuming to make stuff then juggling other responsibilities. Seeing you pursue art at that age, gives me assurance that someday, maybe someday, I can do too 🥺 Although time and age gives a bit of pressure to achieve these milestones in life (I'm nearing quarter life) I hope we will both thrive in the career we both chose to take. Hoping for the fast recovery of your dog and more sales for your shop!! 💗

And yes, it’s hard to get back into it, but with some dedication, my little community online grew. This was super inspiring, thank you for sharing! I'm a 31 y.o architectural technician and have been wanting to have my own side hustle for yeeeeeaaars. I've only been slowly working towards it this year, doing a couple of markets and attempting (and failing so far lol) to sell art prints on etsy... although now I hear Etsy is useless for digital prints :') so I made this channel in the hopes that one day I'll be brave enough to jump in and post videos and have them keep me accountable for making more art. Thanks again for sharing, and all the best with the growth of your business! I hope that joy outweighs that anxiety and stress that comes with owning your own business. PS: I really admire how you stepped out and quit your 9-5 to pursue this!

Hi! Im glad I found you❤ Im 25yrs old and I feel like Im wasting my two degrees because I want to pursue an independent art business😅 but I wont give up! Yet… ahah Its so hard to keep a consistent schedule on youtube because I have so many socials to post on! Bluesky, youtube, insta, x, twitch, tik tok, AND I have two accounts on almost each (art and cosplay/daily/non-art)!! It takes me so many hours to post every day on each, so I end up just posting shorts on youtube😢 but Ive had my account for about a year now and just reached 100 subs. Any tips on how to grow so that I one day dont have to worry so much about earning an income with my art😅?
@@chibichaoshop omg we LOVE an educated girlie. I am also part of the two degrees club looooool. On my shop launch video, I put a few tips there too and also a list of ideas you can use for short form. What I’d say is pick just a few platforms to prioritize and go hard on those. Once you feel like you’ve built a good community and have a hang of those few platforms, add one more. I don’t even post on my personal accounts anymore tbh. TH-cam long form is hard and it takes time. Took me a year to be where I am, but I’d say it made the biggest difference in my sales. Try your best to keep your content focused on just a few things so people know what to expect from you. Consistency on short form is everything so do whatever you can to maintain that. I started posting more b-roll and behind the scenes to be more consistent because if I only posted when I finished art, I’d only be able to post a few times a month. I look at trends and copy them if I’m ever running out of ideas. I’m no social media expert but I hope that helps! Feel free to ask me any other questions 🫶

TH-cam seems to be the place where videos wont just dissaepear like on tik tok and ig. Short form Id say is also nice considering you can reuse them on both tik tok, shorts and reels:) And if all things fail..then I guess Id have to go back to my degrees😅
