Background: When I composed this piece I wanted to write the 2 drums to seamlessly flow between each other. If you listen carefully some of the drum fills are carried over to the other drummer when one of them finishes. This isn’t a “drum battle” so to speak, it’s a piece carefully composed, with each fill having intention for each drummer, and to tell a story. I’m proud to have worked with these guys in a completely unique approach to drumming!
Definitely inspiring. Glad to be alive in order to experience such a beautiful composition.

When I first listen to this piece I wasn’t sure if it was two drummers because it is such a seamless transition. However when I listen to it over headphones that was when I discovered it and I love how you have each set of drums positioned in the recording. Also when I listen to this piece I never received it as a drum duel I perceived it as 2 drummers working together to accomplish a goal. Hence the comments about major Bossfight in a video game. Because you just don’t come across that too often. Unless you’re telling something epic. I heard this piece as that monumental battle that is the end-all be all. I would not have been surprised if the working title for this piece was this is it.
Earthside may well be the best band of all time, they excel in all regards

This is one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen in music.
I can’t describe what this does to my soul. Wow.
Seeing the trance-like state of these two musicians is incredible. The excellence of the music goes without question, and I've heard 'All We Knew and Ever Loved' literally hundreds of times (a big inspiration for a non-musical project I'm working on, so a lot of background playing), but it is really something else to see your faces, off in a completely different place, while your drums describe that place to us. Bravo!

A $%#&ing masterpiece. It was great watching two very accomplished drummers, completely in-the-zone, do what they do best, in a beautifully choreographed and impactful "story". Very intense.

Amazing. The section where Baard plays the backbeat an eighth note behind Ben then an eighth before the next backbeat. Subtle but wonderful effect. (Time stamp 1:30)

Neil Peart wishes he would have been as good as Baard. Absolutely insane! I literally JUST found out about Leprous this year (unfortunately). My goal is to see them live, but unfortunately I have to go abroad. They aren't coming to US. At least not this year 😞
