I own a first-generation Archon and It was worth every penny I spent on it.
Excellent grip, trigger, and sights. Extremely flat and fast shooting and it ate every type of ammo I put through it. This includes low power target reloads.
It is also far more accurate than I expected.
It pretty easily smokes stock Sigs, Glocks and even a CZ SP01.
I originally bought it for the unusual action, but I and everyone else who has shot it was surprised at what a great shooter it is.
Potential cons are, the trigger will start to heat up after a couple hundred rounds and if you put a magazine in backwards, you can eject the ambidextrous mag-release from the grip.

I loved mine too...until the striker broke, the roll pin worked its way out of the trigger, and SAI took 6mo to repair it. Hoping PTR and aftermarket support is better this time around, it does shoot very well.

This is the most innovative pistols since its original release as the big brother Arsenal strike one. The way the trigger and striker work, the way the barrel works, it was one of the first chassis style pistols, and the grip modularity.

I own a Gen 1 and it’s my favorite 9mm of all. After first seeing Slade owned one , and attested to its greatness I found one and grab it. The gun has the lowest recoil other than maybe an alien. It’s low bore axis and almost non existent recoil make it absolutely amazing to shoot. I say this having HK’s, Sigs, SW, Canik, CZ, Staccato, and a crap load of other pistols. The guys complaining about the web of their hands hurting are soft AF! The new gen with its modular grip, talon customizable, possible steel grip make it even better. Of course they still make the gen 1 grip mod if you fancy that. IMO the gun is a sleeper, and I bet the people that actually shoot it before judging it will see it’s many benefits, and come to love as I do.
Also I would like to add that the metal trigger is very good too. I put it just behind the Walther & Canik in the striker pistols. Conveniently it fits in all my SW M&P holsters including Safariland, Teir one, and TRex.

I would say - if you already bought it - deal with all the issues the gun has and improve what you can - if you're thinking about buying it - I don't recommend - reasons why? well, I bought it last year in October and since then I had 2 times a situation where I could not drop the mag - mag release has issues, Archon firearms knows about it - I had my mag release replaced already once and shit continues to create issues... now gave it to a gunsmith and waiting for some good news... Mags are expensive but you can buy one from CZ 75 - change the base pad and will work but costs half price ... Gun overall is nice, holds nice, shoot nice, you can feel it's a premium product but then you discover that it's a niche product and even though Archon Firearms says that many companies will bring stuff that will work with this gun - holsters etc(safari land, Alien gear etc) - bullshit... there's nothing or just basic stuff..
