I bought an ARCHON Type 2 last month. Took her to the range un-lubed. I also took 400 rounds of various types, weights, makers, ETC. RN and hollow point. Zero malfunctions right out of the box. The fastest and flattest pistol I own. Getting back on target was faster than any other pistol I currently own or have owned as the recoil goes back due to the low bore axis and not up and back like most pistols. The accuracy rivals or exceeds my Sig AXG Pro. I think it points and feels better in the hand than any of my Glocks, HK's, Smiths, CZ's. A mite easier to handle quick than my CZ P10C. The Archon wins out in my estimation. As a former Lawman (Retired 22 years and SWAT 14 years) accuracy and reliability rule the day and the ARCHON has that in spades. I am currently carrying it as a placement for my Glock 32. Two slight issues right out of the box. Having fired 150 rounds fast fire, the takedown pin got a mite warm and the mag release was sticky at first. Took the ARCHON home lubed up the mag release and worked her and all rainbows, lollipops and unicorn farts now.
I have one of the original Type B's in FDE and it is by far my favorite gun! Shoots great, the low bore axis is my favorite part. Gotta get the comp from VP now!
I have one of the originals and really like it and after cutting it for a red dot, I love it. I’m just north of 4000 rounds with only one malfunction and it was ammo related
I want to get mine milled but still looking for someone to pvd coat it after. I have the gold/fde slide version so I don't want them to just nitride it black after.
The low bore axis makes this a really flat shooting gun. The modularity is nice in that you can train with full size and carry compact with the same gun. Zero malfunctions is pretty nice too.
I fucking love my gen1. I have improved as a shooter tremendously since I got mine but even still this gun just seems to do all the work for me. It's stupid accurate, short recoil with almost no muzzle flip at all. I am looking forward to picking up the Gen 2 and throwing an optic on it.
@@jakem4579the PPQ is the only other stock trigger I have ran that is comparable to that of the P10 series. My P10s is the very best out of box striker trigger I have felt. That’s why it’s my EDC.
@@kevcom82try the pdp pro sd trigger it’s the best trigger striker fired trigger in the market at the moment. Love mt p10 series guns p10c trigger been 2 or third for many years. That being said after getting the pdp pro I upgraded the p10F I have to the overwatch trigger shoe and NP3 striker I highly recommend it. Has a glass rod break very close to the pdp pro trigger. Not quite as light.
Had mine for a while. For the weak point really is the trigger. Its mushy. I dont like that weird middle travel. I say this as someone who shot Tanfoglio's ( hammer fired) , Walthers, Caniks, and other stiker fired guns for YEARS. Now that being said, it's a very cool concept, and it's been dead reliable. I just don't know how to justify it
You can send it in to Rain6 or Iron Horse Firearms for a trigger job. 4lb trigger, crisp break, no overtravel. The Stage 3 Trigger job & Combat or Holy Grail Trigger job. Totally worth it
Lights do very little mitigate muzzle rise compared to pushing the gasses through the compensator ports as designed. These comps function very well and reliably.
lights also throw off balance of many guns. Folks don't really notice, unless they are putting massive round counts and checking their hit %s in comparison in matches. Taking lights off all my guns, increased my A's in USPSA by 8.7%
@@ANRDesignLLC Interesting. Bob Vogel put a gutted light on his competition Glock and filled it with lead birdshot and epoxy to turn it into an extra heavy muzzle weight. A case of personal preference I guess.
Does the trigger stay completely back after you push the trigger, like on a Glock? I remember the earlier model had a trigger that always jumped on the same position, cocked/uncocked/after firing. You couldn't tell optically if the gun was shot or the gun is cocked.

I have a G19 with the Radian. The StykB is better. Actually surprised you came to that conclusion. I'd like to see flip/recoil of your Glock and Radian along side the StrykB. That thing looked super flat on camera. Also theres a few companies doing trigger work for these. I have trigger work on a StrikeOne, and its lights out compared to any custom Glock trigger I've ever felt.

I’ve had a type b for years. I had nameless mill it for a 507k. Great shooter. Note that cz75 mag extensions will work on tht mags

I've only had my Gen 2 for about a week and a half. And I love it, however I've seen me difficult to find a holster with different lights.

You can get it w/ direct mount for a few different optics (rmr, acro, etc)

Nah you are wrong, I'm seeing P10c and F's optic cut for like $399, you can buy the P10c and the P10f and make your own P10SC.
p10C are 399 or cheaper
So $300-$400 for each variation of P10 and whether it's OR/SR, comes out to $900-$1200 for all three....or i could get one Archon.
