    My theory is, the more self improvement videos you watch, and your slowly hearing the same things over and over, you start to feel the accomplishment without even doing anything to improve your life, and then you stay the same, but you feel like you you’ve changed, just because you know how to change.

    Success is dependent on the action or steps you take to achieve it. Show me a man who doesn't have an investment and I will tell you how soon he'll go broke. Investment is building a safe haven for the future: with the right choices of investment that has minimum risk and with an Expert guidance, profit and interest should be guaranteed.

      Starting early is simply the best way of getting ahead to build wealth , investing remains a priority . I learnt from my last year's experience , I am able to build a suitable life because I invested early ahead this time .

      That's what the best mentors do, they tell you that it's okay to not be okay sometimes, it's okay to have it difficult to achieve your goals, or to have fun and distract yourself for some moments just to relax, the point is to never stop believing in yourself , to work on achieving your goals one step at a time, and at the same time to enjoy your present moment, to enjoy life.

    Investment in stocks is a great way to invest your money. The team is constantly checking the market for changes and make sure that you are always informed about the best time to invest. As a result, I have made more money than ever before, and I don't have to manage my portfolio on my own! Invest in stocks, it's worth it!

I really would love to normalize the idea of only having to post about once a month and still being able to satisfy the TH-cam algorithm. People would be putting out much more quality content, and not get burnt out.

    I like how you said that 3 hours is sort of your end goal of time to concentrate on your main goal/job. I work(ed) 40 hours a week at a desk job as a programmer and I definitely can get most everything I need to get done in 3 hours, give or take, but have to find ways to fill in the rest of my workday. I'm not lazy, but I do notice if I try to code for more than 4 or 5 hours in a single day, my stress goes up and my ability to write good code starts to plummet.
    Anyways, I wish we could get rid of the 40 hour work week. I think it's old and antiquated. I'm not lazy, I just think it's stupid forcing people to work 8 hours, 5 days a week. Most everyone I work with wastes so much company time on social media and filling in their time with other things. Think everyone would be so much happier and productive if we just did even 30 hours a week (6 hour days).

      Well i work 65 hours a week driving truck and delivering lumber, one of the most physically demanding jobs i've ever worked and i have a long history of ranching and trade work.
      We hate office people, they're so worried about saving time so they cut corners. A single mistake for them requires a reprint, but because of that mistake we have to work 3 hours in the freezing cold or blazing heat to unfuck their accidental delivery amounts. Yall need more time in the office lmao

    • @brett84c
      @brett84c 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@dakotarizza4548 I can empathize with that, granted, you can't blame ALL office people for the select few that make your job harder. I still stand by the fact that something about working in an office can be really mentally taxing and draining, as I'm sure being a truck driver does, but probably more on the physical side of things. Either way, people should be careful with their physical and mental health. People that work too much end up with lots of problems, but I also can see how not working enough can just be laziness. I'm not trying to be naive here, heh.

      I bought one with the same idea stated in the video, the phone sits directly below the monitor. That was a terrible idea, like, I receive a work message out of working hours (while playing a videogame for example), and I see the WhatsApp notification and the name of the contact, and automatically feel stressed, and I say to myself, I'm not gonna even watch the message until working hours, but it is there, blinking at me, so after like 10 minutes I end up picking up my phone. I'm changing the place of that charger, now.

    • @tntori5079
      @tntori5079 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I tried his wireless charger idea for a different approach. I tend to constantly worry about my phone, so if it's not near me I will turn around or move my chair to check it. I tried putting a charger up so I had it in my vision. I thought taking a second to glance at it would be less distracting than moving to find it. It kinda worked, but not really. Instead I got a smart watch (or fitbit if that's too much money). Now my phone can go anywhere and there's no anxiety to check it. If I get and email for school, my watch will vibrate and I'll know. Also, smartwatches (and fitbits) can be set up so ONLY the important stuff comes through. It only goes off for email and text. Added bonus having it alert that I reached my step count for the day just makes me feel that much more accomplished.

    I find the Pomodoro technique very useful for focus. 25 minutes of sheer concentration and a 5 minute short pause. After 4 pomodoro sessions, I allow myself a 10-15 minute long pause. It works because when you start to tire yourself, the pause comes. I've been able to do so much using it and I can't recommend it enough. Of course, people are different and it might not work for everyone, but it's sure worth trying.

    Being able to focus on one thing is important and I'm sure it has a great impact on ones self-improvement, but to be honest I find the most important skill to improve is ability to self-reflect. I meet so many people who never reflect on what they do, they don't question and they don't learn from their experiences. If you don't self-reflect you won't know that you need to work on yourself.

    Yes Deepwork is crazy crazy crazy EFFECTIVE
    I used to do this on my own with math: all electronics off except the laptop for math purposes, with earplugs in I'd fully engage with the topic for about two hours straight and got completely dissolved into it. Mind you that it got my whole physique involved as with this level of absorbtion there's loads of active visualisation and verbalisations going on in order to relate stuff and see the (wider) picture. The learning is... much deeper, visceral? It's like you become the object of study 😂
    Intens focus is... intensly satisfying and addictive even. I guess it's peak-experience category.
    Keep 'm comin !

    This long term focus is called flow (when you're in the moment and not focused on anything else). I am a designer so i know first hand as i do it every day, and it's like meditation and funnily it actually has the same effect on your brain as meditation. Things like notifications, too many tabs open, a messy desktop, even hoarding items instead of throwing them out, a messy room, not doing things you know you should, will add mental weight and you will be worn out all the time. When you clear these from your life, you feel very light and peaceful.

    Mad late but I read a book titled ‘Nudge’ and it’s about choice architecture. How your physical environment can influence your decision making and behaviour, being able to plan/predetermine what you end up doing. For myself this was having a stack of books I intended to read on my playstation so once I got bored I’d read, while I was reading I’d know that I had a lot more to read which motivated me to read more. A step further would be to remove the playstation from the room.
    My mum hated the pile of books and now I read less because of it xD
    Highly recommend the book for anybody interested in small changes with big effects :)

      Alex we just have to take the opposite advice from most people. Ignore the “do x for an hour without being distracted”. Instead, use neuroscience to work with your tendencies not declare them the enemy. I’ve learned how to read 200 Japanese script characters in the past 3 months simply by getting an app and pairing (pairing is a proven technique) it with Facebook. Before /after I use Facebook I practice a few Japanese words. 5 min at a time.
