This video tripped me out, was enjoying your skilled work when I then realized I’ve worked on that exact property only a few months after you took this tree down. Glad to see an island boy killing it!
Hello Billy, and Hogan, great video's I am a 74 year old Joiner but love to watch you working, its allways great to see a brilliant Tradesman at work, know what to tackle and how to handle difficult limbs. Will look forward to the video on Knots, Billy your tha best. 👍👍👍. Best wishes Geoff Lewis, Wales, UK. 🏴🏴🏴
Another great class in tree work from Professor Buckin'Billy Ray!!!!👏👏👏 Being that I am not too far away from you in age, unfortunately on the wrong side 😒, I am beyond impressed with your physical capacity!!! Lieutenant Bradley
Brother. I’ve transitioned into a desk job designing big rigs and, when I’m missing real work in the middle of the week, I stop by your channel. Thanks for sharing. You’re a true craftsman.
Looking forward to that knot tying video you speak of. Learned a ton about cutting and felling watching you over the last two, three years. I'm sure your methods for knot tying will be just as easy to pick up.
That helmet camera really brings ya right up in the tree and right there with the rigging and cutting, hearing your spikes go in and your commanding yells to the ground guys, this is an excellent video. Started feeling queasy when you were at the top, just because if the unpredictable movements. Details of each cut, man... Love it... Better than virtual reality. Sure looking forward to seeing those custom made, logo stamped BBR climbing gloves... Oops, thinking out loud again.
Great tree tips and tricks. I always find one or more handy in the trees and on the ground. Thanks Buckin Ganges and Pops. Great seeing you all together. Thanks 🌲❤🌲✊
That’s one of my fav vids , basic 101 explanations a little whistle while you work gettin er done , that really helps with my simple mind and happiness on the angle of the dangle to be safe and productive - MOST ENJOYABLE TO WATCH AND LEARN - Have an excellent evening ole Buckin and friends !!
Billy you have been a life saver in all ways lately. I lost my job and went into selling firewood easy or so I thought but after staying with it and a lot of help from your channel and especially on axes . So long story short I've lost 8 pounds and feel great sales are not so hot but I got a late start . Keep up the good work and thanks
I'm a new here to this channel. Long story short is I watch for Ideas and entrainment. I recently had about 11 trees cutdown here in Oregon. I love watching the methods with minimal amount of gear. My next projects will be slab sledding. You loving attitude is infectious. Keep it up. Thank you!
Hi Buckin, that was wonderful just watching somebody who really knows what he is doing. I’ve watched a couple of videos recently and I’m amazed that they are even allowed to pick up a chain saw! Never mind falling trees. It’s amazing what danger they put not only themselves but others as well. You and Hogan are just great working together. You didn’t just drop that last tree anywhere, it went exactly where you wanted it to go without damaging any of the fruit trees. Love and kindness to you all, to all the subscribers new and old. Take care be safe and I look forward to seeing your offering tomorrow .Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍🌲🌲🔧
Great video: nice over view of what you're doing and with your thoughts out loud only adds to the fun. Nice to see that Hogan took after his dad (again) being calm and at ease while pulling that tree down 👍🙂
Hey buckin, north carolina u.s.a here. Tree felling is my latest hobby been doing everything i feel comfortable with at the house and helping neighbors with there stuff as well. Thanks for all the great info and keep being you! Looking forward to the knot video
I’m inspired. I really want to work for a quality tree service company now, just to do more of it! I’ve been watching many videos to do my own work and at other people’s places to save money. Still learning climbing in trees to cut safely, and getting hardware that costs way more than I thought would..
Did you have a few cups of Coffee before that job? Wow!! You were wound up!! LOL, I got tickled listening to you!! Much Fun!!! Thank Y'all Very Much!!!
Running a 75 foot bucket at work and some trees we remove, your tips on the the clove hitch and leaving tail on the half hitch for easier untying is great.
Hi Billy Ray Smith. Only just subscribe to learn some tips and been really educated. Thanks Man. Can't wait for the knot video. Many thanks Paul, Liverpool Uk.
buckin! i love how u utilize natural friction in your riggin! keepig it simple is something i believe by good sir! still working on my one handed clove hitch! also love how you incorporate felliing techniques like using wood fibers to manipulzte these limbs! great work sir! im a second gen tree man like ur son, also having the priviledge of working along side my father! #be kind!
Buckin' I have to share a great story with you of how you are inspiring change. I listed a window mounted AC unit on craigslist a few hours ago for 300$ I was contacted by a young man who said he only has 150$ and his dogs could really use some cooling. I'm a dog person and thought to myself sure in the spirit of the Buckin' Army I'll pay it forward. The guy comes to pick it up and was super cool and told me he runs a small time tree trimming operation. My body started tingling all over. Thanks for being an inspiration brother! Edit after posting this I was really feeling the flow and called ol boy back up and gave him his cash back. Consider it my free job for the month!
hello buckin! Shaklank; Thank you for the lesson today.every time there is somting to get from your videos.I love that white Truck, buddy. greetings to the buckin army from germany!
Seeing the passion you have for your craft, and to see how you teach your craft is inspiring to me. You certainly make it look like an art form. I only hope there will be more people like you to teach the next generations, and for people to take the example you set in whatever trade they might have. I love your videos and keep them coming!
If your gonna give a thumbs down just stop watching the video if you cnt do something nice dnt do anything at all. Great video buckin as always keep em coming!!!!
I love watching your videos one of the best parts of my day. I'm like you bud old school is my way to go I feel way more comfortable. I don't do a whole lot of tree work but when I do I feel at peace for sure. Thanks Buckin!
Buckin... I love your message, you, but most importantly, you’re entire family. Just got done helping out a friend clear so storm damaged trees here in PA. Never once did I ever think of taking a dime from them. If you can, pay it forward friends. It really does wonders for the soul!
Awesome video....i would have liked to see your tie in on your felling rope on the redirect. Thanks for the knowledge especially on the limb control and explaining your cuts....you are a great teacher....thanks dude.
@22:55 what buckin' did taught me more about cutting branches. Since the branch was too long to do an under cut, since it'll snap before he'll have a chance to guide it. He made a cut at the bark so it wouldn't snap off. and he used the branch's length as leverage to easily manhandle the branch in in the direction he wanted! Man I'm still learning from buckin' about cuts, trees, tools & tool maintenance, ect
Bill, thank you for the demo. you gave on the usage of the pics ??? {long handle vs. short} I don't remember the proper name for these tools but you will know what I am talking about. I too have a bad back and just turned 70. I don't handle a large amount of wood but only to throw a few rounds in the pickup for camping, we do alot of camping and like big fires !!! I have found that slamming my rubber handled straight claw hammer into the end of the round is the only way to go. I can slam it in and swing it onto the tailgate with ease and I don't have to bend over to get it done !!!!! It turned out to be a life saver for me to now be able to load firewood !! Again thanks for the video !!!!!
Great Work! Thanks for sharing your gifts. Starting up my self here and I am really enjoying learning. I am starting to climb and am looking to learn as much as I can before I get up there into a situation. In a few days to come i will be about 45 to 50 feet up a tree finishing a white oak I planning on milling into flooring. Thanks again for putting out such good content!
Greetings Buckin army. From Arkansas! Relatively new here but love the videos! I’ve always loved running saws with my dad and splitting wood. Finding this channel has got me right back into it. Looking to go pickup a 266xp husky I found on Facebook soon! Anyways I’ll stop the blabber. Felt like sharing
Got family in (Hope, BC) I’m from California and I went on a trip there and saw the wood carvings they had and all of the trees lol I started searching up videos and now I’m fixed on tree cutting and chopping wood. Love your positivity your channel is informative and just great videos in general. Positive vibes brotha!
Burningout. Stfu no one is taking them down for carving. Calling me a tool, just shows where we are today with dumbasses commenting and not fully reading what’s going on. If you read what I wrote I said I’m fixed on cutting and chopping wood. Idk where you got an idea about cutting them down to carve.
Every time I watch your videos I learn something new Thanks Buckin.
A true artist with a power saw. Gonna have to start calling you Buckelangelo.
