Billy at the end of the day, you like me working in livestock industry we have met age cannot do when we were young 😢 but i believe your videos will eventually lead young people 😊❤

The old school tree climbing / rigging vids are great and it would be sad to see them lost to just newer techniques. Take care, from your mate in Australia, Paul

Love you billy ray. Your one of the best men I ever got a chance to know and I hope one day I can leave my pride and attitude behind me and have love in my heart the way you do. I learned a lot from you and I get to cut trees like you. I have a lot to learn still but all the knowledge I have of falling trees I learned from you. I've always been a great hard worker. But I still struggle to love myself to wear I can love others how others love me. I've always struggled and learned the hard way and I'm stubborn as hell. The way you are with people is amazing, and I wanna be like you. I wanna be happy like you and love like you. Thankyou for being here in my life on TH-cam and teaching me a good skill so that I can help others just simply by running powersaw. I talk about you to everyone about how awesome you are. You are my favorite person and my favorite youtuber. And i hope one day . I can be like you. My life wouldn't be the same without you. Thankyou for everything that you do. Thankyou for being my friend it means alot. Love you buddy🙂
Got a hand me down leather saddle, and set of buckingham spikes for helping my womans uncle with his last climbing job hes ever gonna do, he gave me all his stuff for helping cause he wants out of it after all this time. I feel so blessed in this life. Thank you for what you do brother.

Hi BB. I'm never climbing a tree! Even though you make it look so easy. But I do appreciate the skill no end! I love the wood splitting at home and have bought some nice old axes thanks to your advices. Les Australia
Been Watching your channel from your big back leaning madrone vid years ago. You just do as you feel, it’s great stuff. The two in one is perfect for your style of trees you have up there.m, simple effective I sometimes run one on removals. Love your style reminds me of the fellas I learn from 20 years ago, simple effective professional. I went through all the new stuff modern gear for climbing but I just go back to simple rigging it brings me more joy. Thanks so much for what you give. I work 7 days most weeks climbing and falling, you just reminded me to say kind and grateful. Thanks mate
Good sir...... You have spoken and put into words what has been in my heart for quite a while now. I am at the point where my very best contribution is to give back and open the door for those behind me. I want to make everything easier than it was for me. Love you all...❤❤❤ Dr /Lt. Bradley
I see you still like the old tautline buddy, thats real old school. I have tried the tautline for the experience, but i did have some creeping with it - perhaps because i was using a split tail? I use the blakes hitch for my set up. Great content as always Billy! God bless you sir and thank you for all you do. Love the positivity
You are the most relatable person on TH-cam, talk sense, totally understand what you are saying im 39 and have all sorts of pain but not ready to slow down yet
Thanks for sharing all your knowledge!🙏 it’s helped me so much on clearing this land . Clearing I mean safely felling and getting the dead wood out . Have a long way to go but your knowledge and videos have helped me so much and for that thank you again! Back to cutting soon as I have 7 acres . Cheers 🍻
I freakin love you brother i would love to meet you in person shake your hand look you dead in the eye and say thank you! Your such an amazing humble man. You have no idea what youve done for me and my family i hope one day i can meet you and talk to you face to face. Your an inspiration to my boys and I. Im alao glad your goin back to long form i really enjoy the longer ones
I thought I was the only guy in the country who climbed in an old buckingham belt for almost 18 years. Gotta weaver 1035 two years ago and it's still different with the smaller d rings. Thanks for everything Buckin. Need some new spikes next Thanks again stay safe. When I saw that green tag it was a pretty warm feeling. My dates 05 . I fell in June of 2021 and I just don't believe in luck brother I just loveya
August 20th is my day that everything changed for the worse at the time but really humbled me for a lifetime and I'm thankful and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't learn from that day or it has been able to help other ppl
Great content love it the climbing thing looks dangerous bigtime if you screwed up your rigging . It hits home to hear you talk about your 2006 injury I had something similar happen four years ago all good now but it wasn’t good for awhile ! Be safe
The climbing videos are heart racing, you can hear in your breathing that you are working physically to accend and decend the tree. Being a hippie tree climber i climbed with no belt and no ropes and no power saw for a few years... several hand saws, lots of pruning and cutting dangerous limbs, over houses near windows and definitely close to power lines. Over the years I've acquired safety gear, belts, harness, ropes and electric chainsaws. It wasn't until 1999 that i got my first gas power chainsaw of my own. My buddy (physical trainer) reminds me that I'm not 20 anymore, just randomly blurts it out and that alone helps me to take time for recovery, and to maintain a slower pace. Sorta like saying "pace yourself " and take breaks. Got 3 giant dangerous trees to prune before I'm done, they look at me everyday and call me to climb. My ripped up shoulder is just about healed up for climbing again. Been thinking of building a web net for relaxing in the tree between prunes. Every cut needs rigging and gentle lowering, roofs and road are in the drop zone. Improvisation is super important because each tree jam is different. Thank you for your tireless effort to reach inside of each person and uplift the spirit to a higher level of gratefulness. 🐾👣🎶⛲
A good life leaves injury, If I haven't left a little blood on a job, I wasn't working hard enough.... but now I'm over 50, I'm starting to feel the bumps and falls from 30 years ago, They hurt more now then they did then. but we can not stop, every hard worker I've watched retire , without something else to do , they don't last long. My body won't last any longer lobster fishing, so I just rigged up for tree climbing, So far I'm lovin it. Gotta keep working at something...
Awesome rigging brother, ya maker look easy😊😊 and I'm definitely gonna be popping into the store to get a set or two😊 of those false tongues!! WICKED SWEET! thanks for what ya do brother

I started climbing years ago, with the klimair 2 in 1 flipline but I recently got the "Curant stileo" flipline 5m long, and i put a "gibbs klimair adjuster" on the "stileo" and its been great climbing with double ended fliplines, i feel slow when i have to use a single ended flipline😂❤❤ the way i figure. It cant hurt to have a double ended 2 in 1 flipline😊❤
hopefully, in july, when i get my N, im thinking about seriously finishing off my forestry story with climbing again. When i first started, i did climbing, and i did groundsmen now. I'd like to finish off with climbing, so im pushing for it hard. because right now not being in the tree industry isn't making me feel accomplished or useful like i did when i was climbing
I know what you mean about alpha male, had my business with seven employees, I’m 66 you can still do it but, instead of always proving you can do it, you take a back seat, and help others. My wife said I used to be a d__k, but now I try to be more of a help. It’s still fun showing off to the younger guys when they still see you can keep up, I tell them when they are 66, remember me. 😁
Climbing gear and methods old and new are always interesting. I wonder if aluminum pads can be retrofitted to my Klein spurs that have L pads currently. Or are those actually Buckinghams? Opsal might fit both Buckingham and Klein steel spurs... Wesspur has them for $100 for regular size which fits me and it's $125 for narrow.
If any of these big old trees you knock down have any decent grain structure, would love to see them get sawed proper to make a guitar, make music if you can for somebody. Cool to hear you are a "tree man" and not an aborist but use some common sense... A very old oak was deemed unsafe for the state park...and sure enough...the aborist said just build a fence around it for safety and it should last another 100 years :) It must be hard to let go of some of these beauties.
