I've never purchased video games from Costco... until today! I bought a PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Atari game console thing, and some accessories from Costco, and we're gonna see if it was worth the money...

Your videos about the PS3 hauls helped me decide which model to buy. I have a CECH-2003B (UK) slim which was one of the first slim models produced… it was too loud and the disc drive was failing. I decided to pick up a CECH-4203C (2013, UK) Super Slim and I couldn’t be happier with how quiet and cool it is! Unknowingly you helped me pick out which one is quietest and most reliable in your hauls. Thank you Jacob, I love your haul content! 😄
Also tip - the 120gb model (not sure what model number) is prone to bluetooth failure - first sign is controller wont work wirelessly, then itll ask for an update, once the update starts it never finishes and gets stuck in a boot loop. Cant even install custom firmware once that happens either. - Basically the console is bricked as the bluetooth module is tied to the motherboard.
The good thing about purchasing a console from Costco is that it comes with a lifetime warranty. My bros purchased a PS4 when it was fairly new at Costco, after a few years it started to sound like a plane engine but played games fine. I told my Bros. to take it back, he was not aware of the lifetime warranty. He took it back and they no longer sold the model he had, they had the slim model and it cost less than what he paid for hus PS4. They exchanged his og PS4 for the Slim model and gave him a $200.00 Costco credit. So hopefully nothing goes wrong with your Costco purchases but at least your covered.

Personally, I think the PS5 Slim disc drive would’ve worked initially out of the box if Jacob never disconnected things per usual 😅

Yeah it requires you to connect to the Internet to activate it so that didn't really matter.
Yeah connect the internet update and get a full working disc drive

some connect to a tv, some are handhelds, and some even look like tiny arcade cabinets
btw only time the switch needs an update to use SDXC is when they're formatted to exfat!

I work at Costco and we didn’t get PS5s for like a year after release. I was pretty bummed because I thought that I might snag one there since they were impossible to get
@muhelectionwasstolen7253 Costco has really good resources with vendors so I thought we might get some but sorely disappointed. I actually ended up getting mine at Walmart of all places in store like a month after it came out
Time sensitive label is a label that the store uses for employees to know when to put out the product (release date) and not early.
Gotcha - the label just looks so serious like the box is about to explode 😂

Bought my switch oled on Amazon new over a year ago and have to say paid around the same price so prices definitely haven’t dropped unless you buy used or pre-owned.
I know you were getting kinda squirrelly with the PS5 console straight away, but I think these new slims are more trouble than they are worth.

The atari takes a micro SD card. U could load tons of roms. And it has a firmware update. I have a whole bunch of nes,snes etc. On mines.
I got a Costco branded GoPro Hero 5 bundle with a case and tripod from Amazon a few years after the Hero 5 came out. I guess they offloaded the excess stock once the newer model came out.

i live in germany on an american base called patch and when i went to the base panzer in germany i got my ps5 slim with spider-man 2 for only $479
as someone who got his ps5 from costco back in august (mine came with GOW:R), it's super nice that you can basically get a charger and a controller for only $20 extra. also how did you pick up that copy of big chungus.
Yeah costco has great deals as long as you're looking for those extra accessories

@@jrob0021 fr, i really like that I can have 2 controllers, since instead of having to wait for one to charge before i can play again i can quickly switch to another one, especially as a former xbox player who's used to just quickly changing out the batteries when my controller dies.

I live near a store that sells returned items from places at a discount. I noticed a Nintendo switch oled for 228(I haven’t seen inside what it looks like) This would be my first Nintendo switch and I was wondering if I should buy it? They do have a 30 day return policy but I’m wondering if I should take a chance or buy one from Nintendo’s refurbished shop and pay a little more? I would have to buy games with it too since I don’t have any.

Bro the ps5 you got like a 90 dollar discount. Costco ain’t cheap but they don’t screw you, like they give you good deals.
For some reason I don't trust buying something cheap because there's possibility it could be a scam. That's why I have to be cautious when I'm trying to buy something second handed.
With the Atari joysticks….if super responsive then not very authentic lol I do remember sometimes having to jam the stick in directions to get it going.
And small text, considering the average person who remembers playing Atari that small text is insulting due to our aging eyes. And the B button, wow a whole two buttons on that controller when original we only had 1 button.

Yeah lol. Ps5 slim is a new level of sketch and we’re just letting it happen (not that there’s really anything we can do about it).
You have to connect to the internet to register the disc drive. Your console also has to be updated to the latest firmware to update it. This isn’t a big deal now, but I will be curious how this plays out in the future when Sony shuts down the ps5 servers.

I gotta correct you on returning the Switch to Costco and them selling it as new, that just wouldn't happen, I used to work there and know how the returning stuff works, even if someone returns it in excellent condition, it still gets processed and sent away.
