Your clip removal worked well for me! For the scraping, you should have taped a vacuum cleaner hose to the scraper and sucked it up while scraping 😊

@@MrGriffin23 I'm fortunate enough to have a pretty well-preserved project to start from
@@ericacrider2825 That makes it so much better.
If you ball up a piece of burlap, rub it in a circular pattern . It will remove all the dead foam, and dried adhesive nicely
Awesome! Thank you for tip!

Good video bud.. And you're spot on the social media d bags. I'll ask you a question. I have a 78 Riv. Pretty much the same car. Did you get the headliner out thought the door or pull the windsheild
All Good! Thanks for watching! I got it out the passenger door. Once I figured it out, it came right out and went right back in. It’s hard to explain in a post here, I can write out a description a lil’ later of you’d like.
Thanks u
Welcome
Great video 👍 and just a heads up for next time u could leave the front trim on just take off sides and back it should slide in and out easy money baby
Awesome man! Thanks for the advice. That’s clutch!
Do they make them molding clips mines broke on me. Or after market that will fit the same way. I been looking everywhere
eBay has them
nice video. thanks!
do you know id the front clips are the same as the rear?
Glad it helped. No they are different.
@@MrGriffin23 much thanks
Where can you find those clips at for the trim? Mine are old & some of them are broken. Would rather replace them all.
Seen them on eBay.
I appreciate you bro I am still trying to get on your level. I prefer 383 stroker but I love the fact you switch it up.
You are welcome! Yes I wanted something a bit different! Thanks for watching!
Perfect video 👍 i needed to see were they go thanks
Glad it helped. Thank for watching!
How did the rear windshield molding come out?
I think I had trouble with that one if I remember correctly, they were different than the front. Sorry it’s been so long I can remember exactly.
@@MrGriffin23 ok thanks for the reply
where'd you buy those custom cup holders
Amazon
Wish i would've saw this first. I broke one of the clips near the windshield trim, and one near the diner door. Do they sell those clips where?
I’ve seen them on eBay.
@@MrGriffin23 appreciate it! I live in Portland and will be in your area for Good Guys and King of the Streets. I have a brown 77 Landau. Hopefully we cross paths, I've been following your journey for quite a bit. God bless, thank you for the help
Appreciate the support! I should be at Good Guys also probably with my Chevelle. Let me know if you roll up. Blessings…
I broke a couple, do you know where I can order some from. Same car.
I’ve seen them on eBay.
If you don’t mine can u do a video on how to remove them trims on the surrounding the window
86 ChevyMane the windshield? There is actually a good video I seen the other day. I’ll try to find it.
Where you get that center console?
I made it.
Do you know where to purchase those headliner clips? I have a 79’ Landau and I’m about to replace my headliner. I need to know incase i break one. Lol
eBay
www.ebay.com/itm/144082706335
Where can I order the clips from
I believe eBay has them
Who did your console?
I made it.
How to take off the back trim by the back glass
I believe those are actually slid onto the tracks of the trim first then snapped into then roof once installed. Ive only heard of them breaking when uninstalling. Mine all broke.
Where can I find those clips
I’ve seen them on eBay in the past
I need it did on my 87 brougham around my back window
87 Brougham I didn’t need to take those off. But those clips are a lil’ different that the ones in the front trim that I showed. I tried on a junkyard car and broke them both. They do clip in I just can’t figure out how to get in there to loosen them.
The ones on the door window sorry I should’ve been more Pacific
86 ChevyMane Which pieces?
Passenger side door go around the door window
86 ChevyMane Oh the chrome pieces? That’s all I have for trim? I’ve never taken that off before.
Please help me find a headliner board I got a 1978 impala aerocoupe Please thanks
Contact Restorable Chevys on Facebook.
Would u build a console for a me if I paid u for a 1980 caprice just like u have in urs
Damien Kennedy Hit up “Steve Chevy Shop” aka Steve Davis here on TH-cam or IG. I got the template from him. He makes them too if you want.
Did anyone get the name of the clips
Not sure of exact name. They are for sale or eBay though. Just search “headliner trim clips” for box chevy.
I'm tempted to send you a couple dollars
Hope it’s not for work. My wife ain’t having me do side jobs. 🤣
@MrGriffin23 lol nah just for the good info. Been terrified of destroying my trim. Jumping on it soon as it's not pass out hot outside
Same for 1977 Buick lesabre?
I’m not sure, but I would imagine it’s similar.
Its the same. Thanks man I needed this
Dope! Thanks for letting me know
How to remove the headliner?
Why didn't you remove the headliner base piece and clean it up on a pair of saw horses and a piece of plywood? Much easier than scraping over your head and having to catch all that mess on a blanket.
I didn’t have the material to replace it at that time and I didn’t want to drive the car and have it falling all over while I drive.
Watch my headliner install video and you will see I finished the job. Thanks for watching!
Internet full of weirdos.
84LsxCutty You ain’t lying! People are so funny man! Why wouldn’t you help someone? All this info isn’t a secret. SMH...
@@MrGriffin23 man lol, it was guys acting weird with the third brake light Intel. Literally had one guy wanting to get paid for the info.
I had a dude on fb say 25 dollars for 15 mins just cause i was asking questions about how do protect myself when shipping out of state
