Gotta respect Conan for getting musical guests that most other talk shows would not book. The fact that he's booked both Ween and King Gizzard is pretty fantastic.
Too bad he wouldn't do it today because this would might draw the attention of the woke psychopaths because it's white guys "appropriating" culture for humorous purposes, which now days shills like Conan avoid at all costs, always erring on the side of safety.
@@jakedurnin566 how? This is quintessential ween. If you have a problem with “brown face” well I guess you have a problem with a lot of Ween material and don’t get the irony

Yeh wouldn’t have been my first chocolate and cheese choice for a network chat show. A much smarter than average host too!!! I think fuxk it and they had the belly dancer in?
I waited on Dean and Gene Ween at the deli I worked at in New Hope, PA. They were return customers. I ran into them at John and Peter's also. They got their start at John and Peter's. They took the time to talk to me; a regular schmuck. Nice guys. Damn talented guys! I'm glad I met them in person!

@@R3TR0R4V3 I mean I agree with RipTydez the outfit, belly dancer, and accent aren't great. I'm a huge Ween fan as well. But it was 95 so nobody would of known better. People aren't more sensitive/soft nowadays, they just care about people more and I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

Gotta give them mad props for throwing down this performance on national tv. There’s multiple songs off Chocolate & Cheese they could’ve chosen that might’ve actually gained them some new fans, but they chose to paint the place shit brown instead, commendable.
@@CiggyRat Different people. Andrew Weiss was the producer of nearly all their albums, and he played bass with them on tour around 94-95. No way.
That's awesome!!!
Two amazing bands that are extremely underrated
Knew I loved Conan for a good reason!
In another interview of Dean and Gean talk about how they’re not allowed on connan again for showing footage of some movie on the green screen
Wavves and Fidlar too. Conan has done it all!
Think he had animal collective on as well
Tenacious D also.
God bless Conan for allowing something so truly strange on network tv.
Conan had a masturbating bear, WEEN isn’t *that* strange

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Gene Ween look the same in 2 videos.
It’s the drugs mang
That’s what people say
ba ha ha ha... thats such a great observation
The fact that they have a video of shawarma playing behind them is such awesome continuity.
Actually ended up getting them banned from CBS, apparently they didn't clear the video with the network or something and CBS didn't like it lmao
That video actually got them banned from the show because they didn't get permission to have it

Here to say what Boognish89 already did, this was the first single off the album (they even discussed the video with Conan)
