My boyfriend sent me this this morning. I'm waking up at 4pm (early for me). Been suffering from Lyme disease almost a decade. Maybe longer. Possibly 2 decades. I've had serious issues/disabilities for so long now. I'm finally choosing to stop giving up. Chronic illness is extremely difficult to deal with when you're mentally ill. 😕 Hang in there guys. 🙏 lyme disease is my big test. It's a test to see if I really want to live. & I decided I do want to live. You have to believe you will get better. You have to want to live. I will beat this. But my disorder tempts me and tests me and I find myself on the ledge so much that I just get so tired.... thank you for your candor, your encouragement, because from the way you put it I can tell you know exactly the hell I feel a lot of the time, even though we have different disorders. I've been recovering from Babesiosis, a tick borne disease that left me unable to get out of bed for months. It damn near killed me. Yes! If you have undiagnosed neurolgical symptoms, have a history of tick exposure and have the ability to acquire IGENEX testing, I would suggest it. Diagnosis and treatment are possible, but most regular physicians said that I was fine or mentally ill. Their doubt about broke me. Damnit Deaner, I know that this is over a year old, but I hope that you are doing better. Thank you to whoever posted this.

They’re BOTH really down to earth. I hung out with Mickey and Aaron back in 02-03’ cause they used to come to Athens, GA which is a big music town (REM, B-52’s, Widespread Panic, etc all discovered in Athens) there’s a venue called “the 40 watt” which was perfect size for them back then (before their shows started reeking of patchouly oil) and they would just park their tour bus there for days, so me and a friend got of half onion of Dank (pot was still very much illegal everywhere) and We ended up smoking half the satchel and having a DEEP discussion of The Allman Bros. And how Dickey Betts is a legend on the guit-fiddle (redneck for guitar). True story! We didn’t have digital cameras in our pockets, so back then you just asked for autographs. They even let me come back that next morning before they went up the coast and Deaner (Mickey. The guy in the video) signed my 94’ Stratocaster. It’s an American made FatStrat which just means it has a dual-coil pickup by the bridge for screaming tones. They were so easy to talk to. They would shut down any kind of ego stroking. Then the hippies came. Phish covered “Roses are free”, and the hippies started coming to shows en mass. (Search for a song called “hippie smell”. That’s what it’s about. The patchouly oil stench that suddenly appeared at their shows, (per Gene & Dean Ween)
