I like to play racing games for fun, being more casual than competitive in these games. Is the logitech g29 a good option for me or would I be better off buying a better, more expensive steering wheel?
I would say I was in the same boat as you to be honest! I brought this wanting a better experience than a controller but not wanting to spend a lot. I would say this a great option to start out with! If you use it and then realise that in the future you want to spend more money on sim racing then great! If you realise you’re not really into that much and want to keep it more casual, then you have yourself a decent wheel for a good price!

The brake paddle has a stiffer spring but also a piece of rubber inside. This makes it way harder to fully press down. You can remove it tho
I was wondering if it was rubber or something like that. It feels like it 😮
apparently removing the rubber really messes with the calibration, i haven't tried it myself though
i just use the clutch pedal for braking in games like acc or f1
